Puts foot down.
Ever since a vaccine for The Sickness became widely available, Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians has been pretty vocal about his players’ need to take the needle.
Apparently, Arians is done talking about it.
Per multiple reports today, Arians has stated that he will see to it that the NFL fines any unvaccinated Bucs player he sees — without any warning — some $14,000 if caught not masked up or violating NFL virus protocols.
“League rules,” Arians told Jenna Laine of ESPN.
Last season before a vaccine was available, the Bucs seemed incredibly disciplined in protecting themselves against the virus. But just a day before the Bucs were scheduled to report to training camp this morning, safety Jordan Whitehead was placed on the COVID list.
Whitehead must not be too sick, provided he tested positive, because he posted video on his Instagram account of himself pumping weights in a garage.
The NFL is tight as a drum when it comes to the virus protocols. Joe, per media protocols, had to get tested this morning at One Buc Palace in advance of training camp, despite being vaccinated. Even walking into the medical trailer the Bucs have set up for daily testing of unvaccinated players, Joe was required to mask up.
Playoff Lenny is almost certainly one of the unvaccinated players. He twittered out this week that he “can’t” take the needle, and since deleted the tweet.

Even Steve Doocy, Sean Hannity, DeSantis, and Mitch McConnell are imploring people to now get the Vaccine. They understand the threat to our economy, and the NFL to the season with this new variant. I expect to see the screws tighten for those that continue to follow the anti-vax line of thinking, in a material sense. Little more can be said to convince people to do so, so those days are coming to an end.

I saw every one killing kap for kneeling during the national anthem and a lot of people got mad saying he was disrespecting the flag wich is his constitution right. Then some of yall said you can’t do that at the work place . By kap kneeling during the national anthem because of police brutally didn’t put no one in the hospital are in the grave! Now we have a virus that can be spreading to hurt other people or killed other people and all you have to do is get a vaccine that can prevent from killing people wich it has and still killing other people . That’s not even close to be true In the United States Ghost, and I seriously doubt it’s even true in the UK despite the fact that they’ve used some different vaccines than we have.
Dr Fauci said in a 4 July interview on Meet the Press … “Well, if you look at the number of deaths, about 99.2% of them are unvaccinated. About 0.8% are vaccinated. No vaccine is perfect. But when you talk about the avoidability of hospitalization and death, Chuck, it’s really sad and tragic that [al]most all of these are avoidable and preventable.”
Our Florida governor (not exactly a fan of Dr Fauci it seems) pretty much seconded that when he said this week … “If you are vaccinated, fully vaccinated, the chance of you getting seriously ill or dying from COVID is effectively zero. If you look at the people that are being admitted to hospitals, over 95% of them are either not fully vaccinated or not vaccinated at all. And so these vaccines are saving lives. They are reducing mortality.”
Ghost, if you don’t want to get vaccinated, fine; your choice. But don’t be spreading misinformation to influence others to follow your preferences.

And BTW GOH… the report didn’t say the Vaccine didn’t work. But that since so many of the older group have gotten it, and the younger folks will either continue to get it or be strong enough to avoid death and hospitalization, that most of the growth will be among those vaccinated. “not protected against death… This is not the result of vaccines being ineffective, merely uptake being so high.” Amazing how your source left out the “not the result of vaccines being ineffective” part.

The worry is if this Delta variant explodes in growth and creates more mass lockdowns. This could not only harm the economy but could affect NFL games again.
Israel is one of the most vaccinated nations in the world (Pfizer). Their latest data shows that Pfizer vaccine is only 39% effective against the Delta variant.
But that’s an overall average. What’s worse is that their data shows that the longer people have been vaccinated the least effective it is against getting Delta.
So it seems the vaccine starts to ‘weaken’ over time as far as protection is concerned.
BUT… vaccinated people vs. unvaccinated people definitely have much milder symptoms if they get the Delta variant or the primary strain of Covid-19.
Pfizer is apparently hustling to create a Delta variant booster for their vaccine.
I fear the Delta case numbers, even if they aren’t as deadly due to many vaccinated people getting it, will still cause major lockdowns in the US again.

TO CLARIFY: If you’re vaccinated and get Covid (Delta variant or other) the data shows it’s more likely to be a mild case or potentially less deadly than if you’re unvaccinated.

Youngbucs. My cousin just got out of the hospital after being in their for 4 weeks fighting covid ! He almost died last week !! I don’t want nothing stopping us from getting that superbowl!! But most importantly I got the both shots and ain’t nothing wrong with me no side effects or nothing. Every one I know that got the shots ain’t nothing wrong with them. And I know at least a 150 people who got the shot and they are ok with no side effects !!

My brother (70) got the shot, cost him $150,000 for a heart procedure to undue the side effects. Didn’t work, the doctors knew beforehand that the procedure was
going to fail. There’s no cure for dead heart muscles.
My Mom (92) got the jab, now the nursing home bills me $24 a day for kotex ($750 monthly) and $1500 a month for oxygen.
Those are the only two in my family that got the shot, thank God!

This is of course coming to a head because we are literally talking about life and death and beyond that the ability to return to some sense of normalcy and ditch the masks.
As soon as the FDA moves their approval from “emergency” to normally approved which is expected in months there will be no more arguments over taking the vax and the legality of requiring employees, customers, to provide a vax passport or simply forego that job or restaurant. The free market then decides.
Don’t want to be indoors with unmasked unvaxxed folks you get to choose an establishment that requires vax. Those who don’t want to get the shot then simply get a job where it’s not required and eat in restaurants and socialize with folks that don’t mind the unvaxxed unmasked.

All of you who went to school realize what those shots were when you were a kid, right? You already have vaccines in you. Take one more so that we can get back to normal. Here is a stat that’s real:. In LA, 20 % of positive Covid cases are from people who have been vaccinated. Yet only .0059% of people hospitalized because of Covid have been vaccinated. New AP poll shows vast majority of Americans who haven’t gotten the jab have already made up their minds that they won’t be getting it. So having politicians and celebrities going up to microphones and telling them to get it is not going to change any minds. We seem to have maxed out. Over in Europe they are having mass protests and riots as the governments talk about mandates and vax passes. So it’s not just an NFL or Bucs issue or even just an American issue. It’s a global issue.
I also don’t see many employers requiring it. Many businesses right now are struggling to find quality workers as it is. Can these struggling businesses afford to lose 1/3rd of their workforce and have to defend a slew of lawsuits? I don’t see most business owners doing that. Not to mention it could open themselves up to fines and liability in places like Florida where the state government is very hostile towards any talk of mandates.
