Statement Game

October 18th, 2020

Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians.

Holy flirkingschmidt, who saw this coming?

The Bucs played one of the most dominant games in their franchise history tonight. Yes, it is true. When is the last time the Bucs absolutely throttled a good team like the curb-stomped Packers tonight?

The season-opener at Philly in 2003? The @ss-kicking of the 49ers in the 2002 playoffs? Maybe the alley-beating of the Raiders to win the Super Bowl?

Joe will have to do research tonight but this may have been the ultimate Bucs game. Defense, picks, sacks, clutch catches, solid runs, clutch field goal — this had it all.

It may have been the closest the Bucs played to a perfect game since the franchise was born in 1976, after spotting the Packers a 10-point lead.

These types of games don’t come around often, Bucs fans. Enjoy it. Wallow it in. Drink like a thirsty fish and display no shame tomorrow showing up for work hungover as a sick dog.

Every business in the Tampa Bay area tomorrow should expect little to no productivity.

For all the crap Bucs fans have had to deal with the past 12 years, this game was such a one-way alley-beating, Bucs fans have every right to celebrate as if it was the Super Bowl.

And on national TV, too!

Zero penalties. You read that right. You are not that drunk yet. Zero penalties! The Bucs!

Damn, this was nice!

  2. Aristotle Says:

0 penalties. Shows what happens when Brady yells at you

  3. Craig Says:

Just say WOW, and hope it is the beginning of a stride that lasts for the rest of the season.

  4. Colonel Angus Says:

Even the trolls had to shut up, damn today was fun.

  5. D-Rome Says:

Amazing win! I’m so happy about it because I didn’t think the Bucs could come together like this. This team is very different when Godwin plays.

  6. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

We had a penalty. It offset.

  7. ModHairKen Says:

I saw it coming. Check my posts after Chicago, Joe.

  8. bucfanforever Says:

That team I saw today can win the Super Bowl. They need to bring the Stanley Cup everywhere with them (and the commissioner’s trophy when the Rays win it)

  9. Tampabaybucfan Says:

The defense was awesome today…….multiple stars…….Dean’s pick a momentum changer…..
6 sacks 2 turnovers……and we even missed a couple of picks…..and zero penalties…..I’m actually shocked.

  10. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Loved this game.

The superbowl was better. Superbowl or bust!

  11. 401 Buc Says:

I don’t understand this game. Just glad we won. Same ol Bucs would’ve lost that game. On to the next one! Go Bucs!

  12. Bird Says:

Here is the difference that ndog wont admit

This was a perfect example of Bucs in years past

Rodgers and packers one of hottest teams in NFL. Coming off bye week.
Guess what happened …rodgers turned over twice ..one a pick six..And packers lost. After having good lead and serious momentum…. Turnovers matter

That was so jameis last year averaging 2 a game
    Always turned ball over
That got down early and guys checked out on both sides of ball

    —-
    Oh for nsob last week
Brady yelling at oline. He Called him a beeach and questioned leadership
Zero penalties today.lol Sure coaching could have cleaned up stuff
But you think these guys want the goat calling them out

    Suck it trolls

  13. Tackleblockwin Says:

I did not see this coming at all. All phases today did really well. So happy lol. Go Bucs!

  14. Ndog Says:

Zero penalties shows you the league certainly has a major say in wins and loses these games.

Shaq was clearly offsides in the second pick and on the first drive Rodgers was clearly hit in the head.

They call what they want to call and WHO they want to call it for.

  15. adam from ny Says:

shaq and mike evans had very quiet days…

otherwise, that was a good old fashioned azz whoopin’…

    no penalties…none…

    sacks…and suh talking yang…

and little earl campbell chugged out another 100 yards

  16. HeyItsAdam Says:

Zero penalties made the game look easy

And Rogers looked like he was going to cry.

  17. Architek Says:

Great win and it was MUCH needed!!!

  18. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

We DID have a penalty! IT offset, so no yards.

    Ndog, get serious.

  19. Drunkinybor Says:

Like I said last Thursday to all the doom and gloomy haters. This team will come together more and more each week. This is arguably the best roster the Buccaneers have ever had. 2 first ballot hall of famers in the Superbowl roster. Both have 2 first ballot hall of famers. Its a close call.

  20. RICHARD weeks Says:

Ndog, its the refs fault greenbay lost? You are pathetic!

  21. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Their defense quit on them. If I were a Pack fan I’d be screaming.

  22. jcscycles Says:

Ndog, hang in there – we are going to send the Stargate SG-1 team in to rescue you from the alternate reality you are stuck in.

  23. 74 Bucs fan Says:

Ndog just has to be negative about something. Sad.

What a freakin game!! Curb stomp. And with Packers coming off a bye on national tv. Stomp!

Great to see Sapp and Farve – whoops, Suh and Rogers going at it!

  24. Miller5252 Says:

Now they need to do a beat down like this on prime time! Don’t come out in prime time and lay a crappy egg. If everyone can stay healthy the league better get ready for this team and a big winning streak!

Now get Evans involved please, dude deserves the record and showing he’s one of the best!

  25. ©MadMax Says:

Thats right….and i saw it coming….saw the last one against the bears and posted i was worried we would lose and we did….know what though? We got this from here on out…..Chucky and Raiders next to go down! I know my stuff baby 🙂

  31. Bird Says:

    Hey all

Just dont even have conversation with that clown
    What a loser

He was upset that rodgers didnt get penalty called
That showed everything right there. Now its all excuses why beady winning and jameis could not
He is not a bucs fan Dont let him fool you.

He is a nole jameis fan . Period

I am gonna continue to laugh at him. I am having a Blast
He is ruined right now. So sad.
    He looks horrible

  32. Bird Says:

Oh and the N in Ndog stands for nutsmuggler

  37. PuertoRicanBucFan Says:

Ndog could finally lose his virginity and would STILL find something to complain about.🤣

  38. Of course Says:

Dear god please give me 5 minutes with NDOG in a closed unmonitored room!

I’d show him a curb stomping.

    NDOG sits down to pee

  39. m0j0 Says:

The loss to the Bears was a rude awakening for the Bucs but could end up being the best thing that could have happened to them, as they were obviously hurt by it and came out determined to win and play more disciplined and fundamentally sound in their technique.

  40. Cobraboy Says:

After the turd in Chicago, I thought this team might tank.

I am thankful I was wrong.

I hope this sets the stage for the rest of the season.

    ………

I recall in 2001 the Bucs down to a poor Lions team, looking lethargic on both sides of the ball. They pulled off a miracle with a MeSahwn TD at the buzzer, and that set the stage for a serious run.

  41. Bangkok Buc Says:

    Joe, are you secretly NDog???
Maybe this is just a ploy for extra attention?

I mean, who can really be this salty after one of the biggest Bucs Wins EVER. just block this troll already.

  42. Brion Says:

I just realized have just never posted anything positive before. I am so pumped right now i can’t stand it. How is this the same team that played the Bears? Unbelievable

  43. Bangkok Buc Says:

    Welcome Brian!

    We deserve this brother!!!!

  44. Bird Says:

    Bangkok buc

    I thought that too
They are both huge jameis Fsu fans

Its his way to get extra posts/clicks?

  45. Joe in Michigan Says:

Hahahahahaha, Ndog making excuses for Green Bay!! Hahahahahaha!!

  46. DBS Says:

  48. Ndog Says:

So again shots at me but not one word about the plays I mentioned because yet again I’m right.

Try to move the topic cause like always you GOT NOTHING.

  49. Ndog Says:

I love how you call FACTS excuses, so pathetic.

  50. Bird Says:

    Discobeef

    Its actually mangina down there

  51. REDZONE BA Says:

    Wow – I expected a win in a shootout – D is seriously NASTY.

  52. REDZONE BA Says:

HAT off to Coach Bowles. He dialed up a great game plan.

  53. Joe in Michigan Says:

Ndogturd: The Bucs won by 28 points. Either you’re a 7 year old girl, or have the mentality of one. The other trolls at least know when to be quiet (after a blowout Bucs win), but not you, snowflake. Hahahahahaha

  54. August 1976 Buc Says:

Bottom line, the league is now officially put on notice. Power shift in the NFC just happened today. GO BUCS!!!!

  55. CalBucsFan Says:

Not more important than the SB victory of course, but I would have to agree Joe, this was in every phase of the game, the most complete, all around game in Bucs history, and I’ve seen them all.

    Proud of them Bucs!

  56. Soggy Says:

A new standard is now set, great day for the bucs org and true buc fans, sorry Ndog that is no you = FACT!!

  57. Jeffbuc Says:

Ndog the play looked like the whole right side of the packers line jumped and it could have been a delay of game. I was just hoping they couldn’t review a false start. Never once did I think we jumped offsides. But I watch the game as a die hard. I don’t watch the game with a blues clues note pad while eating spaghettios my mom heated up for me sipping on a Capri sun. Jotting down every should have been a penalty or a should have thrown the ball better to Scotty Miller that we got a 49 yard penalty first and goal. So I can go to this site and say see at 8:46 in the second quarter tom has a ball bounce off Vaughn’s helmet. Jameis would have hit him in the chest. Yeah right jameis would have had 2-3 picks and taken 4-6 sacks today. And it would have been a 38-24 defeat. It’s amazing what a defense can do when they know when they do there job they actually get to sit down for a couple minutes. And the offense will either score or punt and they don’t have to run right back onto the field and the offense already be in field goal range.

  58. Swampbuc Says:

    Well written Joes!

    I love it!!!

  59. Ericb Says:

  60. Buczilla Says:

Awesome article. As po’d as I was last week, I’m even happier this week.

  61. Steve Gaudreau Says:

Last year the media built this match up as a shoot out and Brady and the Patriots embarrassed Green Bay in exactly the same fashion. Your defense looked scary!!! If the D plays like this the rest of the season, WOOOOOOO Boy!! All Tommy has to do is do what he does. And yeah the numbers weren’t impressive but that’s Brady. Once that receiving corp gets healthy and on the same page. You’ll see 2007 Tom Brady. It was good to see Gronk getting involved too.
