Mike Evans Did Not Practice

September 9th, 2020

UPDATED 1:38 p.m. – Ouch!

An official injury report will come out later, but Bucco Bruce Arians specified today that Mike Evans was the only Buccaneer not practicing today, and he did not practice yesterday.

Arians said he’s unsure of Evans’ status going forward and later in his news conference that Evans has a soft tissue injury.

The head coach noted that the Bucs can take Evans “down to the wire,” regarding making a decision prior to Sunday’s kickoff in New Orleans. Arians said Evans has had 1,000 snaps this year and is more than ready to step in.

How the hell does this guy get injured…..i can’t even remember them doing anything strenuous the last week. Wanna bet its a hamstring. Every year. I seear I love Mike but dammit man. Get your stuff right

Isn’t Tuesday usually players day off?

  3. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    F-ing great!!!!!!!!!! 🙁

    ……….hey…..atleast we have Brady, right???????

  4. Sarasota Garey Says:

Everyone was pulling their hamstrings last year, Arians said he was probably running his players to much, probably why players are getting more days off this year.

  5. Joe Says:

They practiced yesterday. Had the holiday off.

  6. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Evans out for any game is not good…..for this game….terrible!!!

  7. Adrnagy Says:

Where are all the bandwagons at??

Brady can scramble for a 8-15yd gain. Or Godwin , Scotty are still there. Or turn the game plan around “adjust” to a smash run game ! We have a beast of a oline.

  8. Tampabuscsbro Says:

We only have Gronk, Scotty, Godwin, Watson, OJ and Brate left….there could be worse blows to the team.

  9. Bucsfan81 Says:

I swear this team has been cursed since Gruden got fired. Can’t we go into the season with everyone healthy. We are going to need all hands on deck to beat the Saints..

  10. Tampabuscsbro Says:

81 It’s really rare that ever happens to any football team.

  11. 813bucboi Says:

LETS NOT GO ALL DOOM AND GLOOM….LOL….

this is why we have fournette and rojo….godwin, watson and scotty…oj and gronk…

ME13 will be ready to play….

    GO BUCS!!!!

  12. Swampbuc Says:

Unless Mike lost a leg he’ll be playing Sunday.

  13. JoeFromWisco Says:

Possible strategy, Joe? Now the Saints have to plan for the Buccaneers with and without Evans.

  14. Tampabuscsbro Says:

813 even if he isn’t we are deep enough at the position that we don’t have to trot literal bums out there.

I am confident this team can still win if Evans misses time.

  15. JGhotier Says:

I hate to say this, and he’s one of the best WR’s in the league, but Big Mike has a “soft tissue” or hamstring injury at some point every year it seems…we’ve just got lucky and it’s happened in the offseason mostly, but it’s still troublesome

  16. Mitch Says:

Soft tissue is at best a two weeks issue. At worst he’ll be dealing with it all year.

  17. TSmitty3000 Says:

Soft tissue injury…dangit. I’d sit Evans this week and get him ready for the home opener. With all these weapons, the Bucs should be able to get through this week.

  18. Gofortheface30 Says:

Unreal. What kind of soft tissue injury? How severe? Is there a high chance of reinjury? Selfishly speaking, this is really annoying. GD season hasn’t even started with not a lot of hitting and you could have a similar injury that sat him last year? Jesus Christ guy. And he is a very big reason as to why Brady came here in the first place, just incomprehensibly annoying, I personally have low patience for this. Best ability is availability

  19. Pewter Power Says:

Here we go lol all these weapons, a starter is day to day and the panic is already setting in at the beginning of the season. We know what it is like to be with out Evans, heck we know what it’s like to be without Evans and Godwin. Even if he was limited or out it changes nothing about how dominant we can be

  20. Jmarkbuc Says:

Anybody consider that he’s just screwing with Sean Payton? You know ask Ndog, BA is a big liar 🤥

    😂😂😂

  21. Will Says:

This sucks if he can’t play but lets be honest Mike hasn’t done a thing against the Saints anyway. I believe he has 2TDs against them total since 2016. Yes I’m hoping he can play and get on track but I’m just stating a fact.

  22. james west Says:

i bet they are just resting big mike, 10 to 1 he’ll play opening day

  23. james west Says:

remember last week it was godwin so chill out people go bucs

  24. gbobucsfan Says:

Evans and Carlton Davis both questionable for Week 1

  25. SmoothBayRider Says:

    Good point JMark

  26. DBS Says:

    Hamstring it is.

  27. Ndog Says:

Well we all know he better play or Tom Brady’s going to cry if he doesn’t have all his weapons and making an excuse as to why he didn’t play well.

  28. No Risk It No Biscuit Says:

Old habits die hard. A friendly reminder Jameis will be at the game but for the other team.

    Relax.

    We have the GOAT.

    Go Bucs!!!

JESUS, YOU LITERALLY DESCRIBED YOURSELF TO THE T!!! Exchange Tom Brady for NPUPPY and the last 2 he’s to JW. That was you all offseason.

THANK GOD THE CANCER IS GONE AND I CAN FINALLY BREATHE AGAIN!!!

  30. Sport Says:

The Bucs are trolling Lost Dog and Little Bo Peep and I couldn’t be happier about it.

It means we are on the right track.

    In BA I Trust!
