O.J. Wants Out

April 23rd, 2020

O.J. Howard is eager for a fresh start with a new NFL team and it’s not a post-Gronk-trade development for the Bucs’ 2017 first-round pick, JoeBucsFan.com learned from a trusted source today.

This doesn’t mean Howard is having a tantrum and demanding a trade, but it does mean Howard is over the Bucs as least as much as it appears they are over him.

Howard caught 34 balls and one touchdown last year through 14 games. Through the final six games of the season, Howard played about 85 percent of the offensive snaps but had just 16 catches for 236 yards and no touchdowns. Shortly after the season, Bucco Bruce Arians lauded Howard’s blocking in the Week 17 game against Atlanta, which felt like an odd take at the time.

ESPN reported yesterday that a Howard trade to the Redskins for left tackle Trent Williams fell through.

Joe’s information further speaks to what J.C. Cornell of The Draft Network shared on Twitter earlier this week. And none of it is surprising given Howard’s reaction — or lack thereof — to the news of Tom Brady signing with the Bucs.

  1. Gettinthebucs Says:

I knew we should’ve taken Dalvin Cook. Oh well maybe he’ll get his wish and we can get a decent pick for him before the weekend is over.

  2. JimmyJack Says:

We majorly upgraded your position. Can’t wait to trade this guy. Bad football player.

  3. Afo Says:

His agent to find a good team and Bucs want a 3rd round pick, it’s very easy

  4. MarineBucsFan Says:

Hope to at least get a 3rd for him.

  5. 813bucboi Says:

still got time to get the trent deal done….

    but oj’s reaction is not surprising….imo, BA thinks he’s soft…mentally and physically…..

    GO BUCS!!!!

  6. crazyBucs_CL Says:

that’s great, find someone in need, make a good deal, let him go.
he was famous only ones, when we drafted him; not out of need, but cause he was there…..since then, no impressive performances what so ever….

  7. NOLES Says:

He is not good & time will show that… Bye OJ why don’t you call Jameis and he can throw you some passes. We should have definitely taken Dalvin Cook or TreDavious White.. This guy has 0 heart..

  8. Bangkok Buc Says:

We’re not paying him that much so it no other team is willing to offer a 3rd round pick or better, who cares what he wants. He can sit on the bench all year and sulk.

Pretty poor attitude on this dude. You’d think having an opportunity to play and learn from Brady and Gronk would be invaluable for a young player.

Dalvin Cook would look so good in Pewter right now

  9. stpetebucsfan Says:

Trent Williams in his prime would have been a bigger deal than Gronk…but sadly Williams has been MIA a lot recently.

Still 75% of Trent Williams in his prime would still be a solid right tackle and he could provide some leadership. Perhaps do for this line what Logan Mankins did for his.

  10. HomerSimpsonRocks Says:

Bad attitude. Entitled. Thinks he’s “arrived”. Good luck on your next team butterfingers.

  11. nano107 Says:

Not going anywhere he is cheap this year
Unless is a 2nd round pick

  12. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

He will go onto have a good career somewhere else. Buds fans are so short sighted. In addition to the fact that Gronk has one year left on his contract, retired due to injuries, the last time he played a full season was 2014. But he’ll yeah get rid of him and let’s have gaping holes all over this roster two years from now.

  13. BrianBucs Says:

    SEE YA

  14. NutterBuccer Says:

Hopefully he just shuts up. Learns from Gronl and stays on the team. But who knows whats gonna happen. I see trent williams coming to tampa still. Dont worry about the money thethey can figure that out later.

  15. UKBucs Says:

Looks like a matter of time before OJ is out of here. Going in to the season with Brate, OJ and Gronk just isn’t going to happen. Let’s hope we can cut a decent deal over the weekend and not let him sail for a 4th/5th round pick!

  16. james west Says:

never liked his performance, or lack of, on the gridiron, to me he was soft, lacked passion, and like raberto duran he had hands of stone, he seemed to me also, to be aloof, detached, or just plain out uninterested in what the hell was going on, maybe i am wrong, it’s just my opinion, but yeah we missed on cook, he should have been the pick

  17. Jerry Jones Says:

    LATER

  18. Jeebs the Honey Bear Says:

Bucs should accept any offer better than pick 80. We have Gronk, Brate, and Auclair. No reason to keep OJ, he will be a free agent next year, get value for him.

  19. NOLES Says:

    Nano —

He is cheap ? He sucks who cares what he cost he messes up our offense because he is incapable of blocking or catching bad look for a TE.

If you think they cannot get anything for him this year wait til next yr when he is due $9million which he has about as good a chance as Jameis in getting someone to pay that amount.. Brate makes $7 million & OJ can’t hold his Jock strap… probably because he would drop it…

  20. bogiedr Says:

Hope he does not drive compensation capital down a la the idiot in Jville!!

  21. PSL Bob Says:

I guess I’m sawing against the grain, but I’m not ready to give up on OJ. The dude has talent and I think if he’s used right (not just blocking) in a system that has an accurate passer, he’s going to flourish. Could be wrong, but I’d give him another chance. Working with Gronk, he’s going to pick up some on-field tips, and off-field, learn how a champion prepares and practices.

  22. Casual Observer Says:

Third round pick this year is my guess.

  23. Joe in Michigan Says:

It looked as though he didn’t want to play football, from last year’s games. The fact that New England didn’t want him in the Gronk deal is a bad sign about his value. All it takes is one team to want him, though.

  24. NOLES Says:

& there is only one OJ & we all know him. It’s suspect when you can’t EARN your own nickname. Should have been the 1st clue for Licth bulb OJ is SOFT

  25. PSL Bob Says:

PS, Gronk isn’t going to be here forever. When Brady’s done, Gronk will hang it up too, if not before.

  26. Doc Says:

This team,by the 4 game will divided by race in the locker room. This G.M. is trying to replace his black players with white players. It began with McCoy, last year and now Howard wants out. So much for wanting to play with A.R.P. Brady and injury prone Gronk. Now a report that they lied to Winston, reinventing the Doug William rule. It would not surprise me if Evan do not ask to leave after this season. Ask your self why no black football players want to play here, unless they are old and over the hill and trying to hang around for a pay check.

  27. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

    Drum roll please……..

And the award for the dumbest comment of the day goes to…..

    Doc!!!

Congrats mate, you successfully lowered the intelligence of this entire blog.

  28. Bird Says:

He probably needs fresh start on different team
He has a ton a talent so it still may come out

We will find out if it was him , system, arians lack of tight ends or qb

With that said …this crop of tight ends is terrible and a few teams need one
So if they can get a third or use him to move up in trade then win for bucs

  29. El Buco Realisto Says:

Looks like just another casualty from ole stale biscuit!!!!!!!!! Way to “coach em up”!!!!!!!!!! The lying head coach went from “they are so talented” to ” just quick fixes” to a losing 7-9 season, straight to sending most of the high draft picks packing!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol!!!!!!!!!

Its player “replacement” and not player development!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Great coach my azzzzzz!!!!!!!!!

    go bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!

  30. SammyRebel Says:

I really thought we were gonna take Dalvin Cook 2017 draft, damn koetter messing up our draft, by O.J. see ya’

  31. Stevebobucsfan Says:

It’s obviously Howard doesn’t fix in Arians offense. I saw proof of this last year. My thinking is it’s just been hard to find a trade pardoner for him. I don’t think this is no secret to Bucs fans. I think the Bucs problem with Howard is, he was a high draft pick and the Bucs can’t get a team to give them the draft capital they’re wanting for Howard

  32. chris L Says:

Another swing and a miss for jason licht. ironically his best pick was with lovie smith.

  33. ArmchairGM Says:

    @Doc

Get your racist BS out of here. McCoy was replaced by Suh, so there goes your theory. It’s about best player available and Licht signed two future hall of fame players.

  34. Eric Says:

Another guy that will hurt later on

  35. El Buco Realisto Says:

    @Doc

You don’t know what your talking about!!!!!! Ole stale biscuit has this team headed in the white direction, errrrrr I mean “right” direction!!!!!!!! This is a team that finally Tampa can get behind!!!!!!!!!! Wake up Buc fans!!!!!!!!!

    go bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!

  36. Noles Says:

    Doc —

I feel as this is intentional but I will take the bait….

L DAVID is pretty awesome and not old, Suh, JPP & Barrett are all very good pLAyers & resigned. If it was a racist organization they would have gone elsewhere & Bruce Arians wears a Knagol for God’s sake. I hope you don’t really believe that…..

& Mike Evans won’t be a Buc past next year & it has nothing to do with race but everything to do with GREENBACKS…..

  37. JGhotier Says:

Starting to get down on OJ. I like(d) him a lot and he’s a good dude w/ unlimited potential and otherworldly physical traits and attributes, but he’s really not doing himself any favors and falling out of favor recently.

I didn’t initially want to trade him and wanted him on this team, but I’m not so sure now.

He’s acting like this is the Bucs’ fault and of no fault of his own. He’s starting to look silly here.

  38. Ship Thief Says:

    Doc has lost his gourd

  39. AlteredEgo Says: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

Make him play with Brady, he’ll thank the Bucs later

  40. Kobe Faker Says:

“Bellichick wanted OJ for a 2nd round pick before the trade deadline last year

Bucs said no and Patriots instead traded falcons wr Sanu for a 2nd round pick

The Bucsheep thinks they know better than Bellichick and the Patriots

This isn’t going to end well”

    Kobe Faker

  41. DerrickBrooksGOATLB Says:

OJ and the 7th we got from the Pats for a 3rd from someone. I’d be overall happy if that happened. We could then go:

    1st: RT
    2nd: S
    3rd (1): RB
    3rd (2): CB

I don’t know if OJ is gonna make it in the league. If he really is that soft, playing with Brady as his QB with his competitiveness might just break him. Another example of an ultra-talented guy who just doesn’t ‘get’ the other parts of being a success in the NFL. If you don’t see a long-term future in Tampa with the guy, move on now since we’re going all-in this year.

  42. Frank Pillow Says:

    OJ is weak and decadent.

  43. Conte Piscateli Says:

Hey if he could just stop juggling balls around his back into interceptions he would be BALLIN!!

  44. Jon Says:

Right the old race card…..praises godwin….black, resigns jpp, suh, got rid of nassib who’s white. Seriously go take the race card bs somewhere else. I’m sick of it and so is every other person reading it. The nfl is full of both black and white athletes, get your facts straight

  45. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Not exactly a way to try to move a player…..no targets……

Sort of like trying to sell a car with a cover on it……”Trust me…..it’s great”….I just don’t want it.

  46. TheBradyBunch Says:

JGhotier – If your employer just brought in someone to replace you and rumors were everywhere that they want to fire you, would you want to stay with that company if you could potentially go somewhere else and be valued for what you do, would you not? Can’t blame a talented TE for wanting out when his current employer is basically saying you’re dogs$%&! Not silly at all. It is called self respect.

  47. Darin Says:

Realisto stupisto. There’s turnover on every team every year. Wakie wakie get your head outa BAs booty. Dang right its good coaching to get the best/smartest players you can. If the message isnt getting through after a year its time someone else sends the message. You’re one who doesnt get any messages either. Stop reading the lovie mike smith brothers books! Time to move on

  48. Wesley Says:

He’s going to become one of the best T.E. in the league. I guaranfreakintee it!!

  49. Ghost of Darrell Henderson Says:

Bears called, they’ll trade us Gaines Adams straight up for OJ.

  50. BUC CHEEKS Says:

    JANE

  51. JimmyJack Says:

Three things that you want in a mine opinion.

    1) Soft hands
2)Can make plays over the middle of the field.
3)Brings physicality (as a blocker ideally)

OJ does none of this. He is a bad TE and a overall bad football player.

Yet just like fans did with Noah Spence y’all will continue to push over this guy because he has athletic ability in track shoes and umbros.

The guys a stiff get over it. Should be easy since we we already made a major upgrade at TE with somebody who will show you what a great TE should really look like.

  52. JimmyJack Says:

Three things you want in a TE***

  53. NOLES Says:

Lol… Ghost of Darell.. 🙏 rest his soul… Ol’ Gaines Adams.. every time I hear that name all I think about is Adrian Peterson… Oh well…

  54. WestChap Says:

Please, please, please package this man with Smith and go get Trent Williams… Trent wants big money and probably guarantees but might enjoy playing with a few GOATs. He’s at $12.5 salary for 2020… would 2 more years at $17 each be enough if $22M guaranteed ($10 signing bonus, $12 annual salary guaranteed for 2021).

Trent gets $10M cash bump now and locks in $12M for next year even if hurt such that he’s onboard for a 2 year OL-friendly run with Brady. In 2022 we have minimal cap hit if need to move on post-Brady OR Trent hets another late career bite at the apple if he plays lights out supporting Brady’s quick release. And our 2020 cap hit is negligible given Smith’s whole $14.5 hit goes with him… I just don’t trust the GOAT’s blind side to Smith.

Meanwhile, Washington gets 2 young starters that can be controlled for the next 2 years and can focus draft on D or skill positions to help Haskins. Everybody wins!

  55. SOEbuc Says:

It’s official. Kinlaw or trade back in the first for an extra second. We could have five picks within the first 3 round if we traded OJ for a third.

  56. SK2020 Says:

Bears have been interested. Try for Tarik Cohen and a 5th or 6th.

  57. Robert Says:

Send him to jw’s team! Oh snap. Dumb if he does not want BRady throwing to him. Just dumb

  58. Bird Says:

    Who is doc ?

    Big hog or Oneilbuc?

  59. JGhotier Says:

    @ TheBradyBunch

Two completely different businesses and styles of business, but just to appease your comment..

If I had/have performed as OJ has so far at this point in his young career, I’d probably be wondering if I was gonna have a job at all. Then I would try my damnest to keep that job and perform better, keep my mouth shut s d do my job better.

It’s not akways how you feel or what you want, it’s how you go about it.

But again, I get your comparison, but my job and the NFL are two completely different entities. So ultimately, it’s just not a good comparison.

OJ and his performance have made this situation what it is, not the Bucs. It’d be more like me not performing at my job, then subsequently blaming them and asking them to find me a new job. Which again, is silly all the way around.

If he had performed like he should, he’d have a better argument and/or complaint…and we may not even be having this discussion.

I appreciate you playing Devil’s advocate here, but it’s the wrong time and situation to be doing so, especially in regards to this specific topic.

  60. Bird Says:

    Maybe DB55

  61. Bucemup Says:

I don’t care about his measurables, the man has not gotten it done. No reason why he can’t dominate. I was pissed off when we drafted him over Dalvin Cook. I won’t let that go until we draft a special back. Jason please draft us one of this years top backs and make this right.

  62. Alanbucsfan Says:

    Doc
I believe the Bucs are the only NFL team that have had 3 African American head coaches. “America’s Team” , Cowboys have had none.
And the next Bucs head coach will be African American.
So, race bait away if it makes you feel like a big guy.

  63. Doug Says:

Kinlaw or isiah Simmons these guys are difference makers

  64. Pa Privateer Says:

I am completely baffled at all this “sky-is-falling” we need to trade OJ Howard!

If it were up to me, I would have OJ play the WR position half the time. Line him up on the outside and let a CB try to cover him with his huge body.

  65. Clean House Says:

If he’s so bad a player send him to Koetter in ATL

  66. tampaborn Says:

Gosh so much going on with Howard

  67. ItzOK Says:

Itz fine to want and pout and cry. OJ needs to suck it up and get his ass to work and prove he is better than Gronk. If the Bucs decide to give up on his talent thats their decision. Unti then he needs to stop whining and get to work and prove he was worth the 1st round pick. He has shown flashes.

  68. BucEmUp Says:

Hes got all the talent and no heart

  69. mark2001 Says:

SK…if Tarik is healthy, and not too expensive, I’d do the deal.

  70. Dewey Selmon Says:

1 person looking for clicks makde this story up. It came out right after Gronk got signed. How did this guy get this info so quick without anyone else verifying it?
Now OJ’s people are saying this is false.

  71. DoooshLaRue Says:

    Bird

I was thinking the same thing about Doc.

The ridiculous race rant smells of Big Hog but the retardation factor reeks of DB55!

  72. King C Says:

Florio updated his BS story to add a correction: Sorry to disappoint you, but that’s not a correction. That’s him sharing what someone told him. –Joe

UPDATE 4:42 p.m. ET: A source close to Howard denies that Howard wants out of Tampa. Regardless, Howard is an obvious potential trade partner.

Wonder if Joe will do the same.

  73. mark2001 Says:

“UPDATE 4:42 p.m. ET: A source close to Howard denies that Howard wants out of Tampa. Regardless, Howard is an obvious potential trade partner.”

    Profootball talk… rumor mill…

  74. Buczilla Says:

Outside of Godwin, our 2017 draft class will be an utter failure if we can’t get at least a third round pick who ends up being a starter for Howard. Licht is on the upswing, but man, that 2017 class is brutal except for Godwin.

  75. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Doc, that can’t be a serious take. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. OJ should fetch us a 3rd round pick. Good luck OJ, don’t let the door hit you in the a@s.

  76. Elita Vita Says:

As said before…. IMO….his play has not been up to par because he has wanted out of Tampa Bay for a while now. Seems tired of losing and I believe his attitude reflected this. Bucs have given up on him in large part due to his attitude. Ironically, now that the Bucs are set to be a successful team, he has unfortunately already soured this relationship. Now he may be shipped out the door.

  77. Jeff of George 101 Says:

Id have pulled the trigger so fast on a Orenthal Howard for Trent Williams quicker than an Howard drop/fumble that I actually felt bad for the Qb getting INT credit unjustly..If hes gonna be a problem get somethibg decent and move along ..Not done with him if he stays ..Maybe the Polish Prince can teach him a thing or two about the position and not being a red ass cosidering hes a first round bust/project now 3-4 years in

  78. SK2020 Says:

    Mark,

Cheaper than OJs contract and is UFA in 2021. And he’s never had an injury. Would compliment Brady like James White did in NE.

  79. DaBux Says:

Screw him. He’s on his rookie contract. We own his ass. Do not offer a 5th year option. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $5.9 million.

And when the opportunity arises, we’ll trade your lazy whiny ass to freaking Washington for a 5th round pick.

  80. TheBradyBunch Says:

Must be fun to be a NFL player. Made up story and fans on here crucifying him for something he never said.

  81. Joe in Michigan Says:

Pro Football Rumors reports that Arians wants to keep Howard for this season. In other words, he has no value in a trade.

  82. mark2001 Says:

BB…no crucifixion from me. If we can’t get real talent for him or at least a third round draft pick, I wouldn’t think of moving him. OJ might really take off this year, working with Brady and Gronk. And I wouldn’t give him away.

  83. El Buco Realisto Says:

The best part will be next, after the sheep finally figure out that Gronk is all busted up, and that OJ was told by the coaches to “keep run blocking” and we will get you your touches, and it never happened!!!!!!! But it is not the first time this coaching staff has LIED to the players!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    go bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  84. Clean House Says:

Lack of imagination and coaching is the Howard issue

  85. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

Can you blame him for wanting out ?
When Arians came, it was the kiss of death for OJ.
He became a glorified blocker in Arians scheme, unable to showcase his skills.
Now, with Brady here who has a long history with Gronk, it is time for him to move on.

  86. Pugs&Bucs Says:

I was right about Mark Barron.

I was right about Michael Clayton.

    I was right about OJ.

I can do Licht’s job for a fraction of what he earns.

  87. SK2020 Says:

Why do you need 3 TEs? You can get the draft capital or a veteran RB or both now. Brate isn’t going anywhere with his contract and Tanner Hudson is not a bad backup in case he’s needed. Get what you can now. If he’s a bust this year, you don’t get anything for the future. If he leaves and he’s a stud, well, good for him. Welcome to the life of a GM.

  88. Bucsfan951 Says:

    Pugs,

Too bad out of the 3 you mentioned, Licht only drafted 1 of them…

  89. REDZONE BA Fa Says:

Having Gronk on roster theoretically opens the offense to help OJ get more pass opportunities. Brady likes throwing to Gronk so TE-plays will be highlighted in playbook. Opposing D’s will focus on Gronk, and perhaps create pass options for OJ in two TE sets. OJ could learn a lot from Gronk, who is a rental for 1-2 years w Brady.

  90. CunningLinguistics Says:

Doc: Winston is so talented that 31 teams are clamoring for him. Sure, sure.

  91. EEK Says:

Seeing him run in space with the ball he looks unstoppable
Somehow he seemed to disappear for large chunks of the season at a time

BA seems to know how to evaluate who can play. I think he’s probably done or 3rd string at this point — truly shocking given his skills and draft position.

  92. 541BucsFan Says:

I say keep him. He’ll have a change of heart as the Bucs game evolves into a Brady-esque TE friendly scheme. He’s a great backup if/when Gronk gets injured.

  93. Steven007 Says:

I’ll never understand why they didn’t try lining up OJ in the slot. What nickel corner is going to cover that giant?

  94. lambchop Says:

Licht told Schefter they want to keep OJ, Brate, and Gronk.

  95. DaBux Says:

What nickel corner is going to cover Evans or Gronk if he’s in the slot?

  96. Isaac haggins Says:

Bottom line , toughness lil questionable , hands ( other than at the Rays game) are questionable !!!
Baby 👶 pout overrides an absoulute best case scenario for him !!! Best case scenario he could ever hope for for his career and he s pouting , he had better get a new agent or life manager also !!! Plays this right , plays on 5 th year money next year and signs 5 year 60 million 2022 or leaves and will be lucky to even get the 5 th year and will end up playing fo 3.5 mil . Man Up OJ this isn’t Brattabama where you were specialty coddled like a lil boy !!! You Should be jumping up and down you pouty lil clown ass ……… One of the Best tight end friendly QB s of all time and an all world guy to learn from , if Howard is in fact cry babying , he will always be held back by his Mental Makeup !!! I am sure Arians saw this , just like Hardgraves the first practice or two !!!

  97. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Why the hell would we keep Gronk, OJ and Brate? That’s one too many. Auclair, Gronk and one of the other two would be correct.

  98. Joe in Michigan Says:

I doubt Howard is on the Bucs this year. We don’t need another Brent Grimes or VH3 distraction of a guy who obviously doesn’t have the heart for football.

  99. Capt.Tim Says:

As I stated a couple years ago.
Howard lacks focus and dedication. He has no passion for the game.
Gronk is a huge upgrade in every aspect.
    Bigger, stronger, better route runner.
Plays very intelligently-finds the open spots in the zone.
Plus Passionate and brings contagious intensity.

If this team can make the playoffs- Gronk and Brady will stay here- until they get another ring! Remember, Gronk is only 30.
This is a talented, intelligent bunch.
I really believe Brady will lead us to another ring.
If we can protect Brady- we will be a playoff team.

  100. NDog is an idiot Says:

Is Doc NDog ?? Sounds like something NDog would come up with!!

  101. Jean Lafitte Says:

I think Seferian-Jenkins changed his name to Howard.

  102. Jean Lafitte Says:

To think we all share the same oxygen with this @Doc character. What an @ss.

  103. unbelievable Says:

Bucs fans are so short sighted. He had a down year last year, no doubt. But never had bad hands the 2 seasons before that.

But hey I know this franchise loves pi$$ing away high draft picks so yeah lets get rid of him. And forget about a trade, we’ll prob just release him like we always do. And then he can go win a ring like so many other ex-Bucs.

Maybe Brady will finally transform us from being a farm team for other NFL teams, but I have my doubts.

The Glazer children are clueless. Always have been, always will be.

  104. DoooshLaRue Says:

    Actually ndog doesn’t race bait.
I can give him credit for that.

  105. CalBucsFan Says:

The GOAT made Gronk a sure HOF TE, and the 2 of them could help get Howard pointed in the same direction before they ride off in to the sunset. Stay Howard, where else could have have such great role models?

  106. nano107 Says:

    Noles
There is a report already refuting this story so the smoke and mirrors game started
    They don’t have cap space
They need to get value for him trade him to move up maybe
Is that simple he is not going anywhere if it less than a 2nd rounder
You think Gronk will be here next year? He is 10 million
Nope he will be gone this is why they might keep all three
BTW EVANS is signed thru 2024 that 5 yr extension was smart

  107. JameisAlmighty! Says:

OJ Howard’s best catch with his time as a Buc came at Rays game…

  108. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

I think we would be lucky to get a 3rd round pick for Howard. Best to try and get next year’s second round after the draft.

  109. Noles Says:

    Nano

Evans will be gone after next year, I know his contract. You cannot pay him & Godwin. I prefer Godwin….

& Howard sucks regardless of trade smoke or not. He is not good As we have seen and he will continue to show. What are you watching, clearly not Howard.
The Bucs are all in, my comments on Howard have nothing to do with Gronk acquisition. They should have trade him 2 yrs ago when he was worth something….

  110. Sauron's eye Says:

If he is not dying to play with Gronk and Brady the guy has a screw loose. Get rid of him.

  111. Buc believer Says:

    Bye Bye you suck anyway

  112. Buc believer Says:

Cmon Joe moderation on draft day? When will it end?

  113. Joe Says:

Cmon Joe moderation on draft day? When will it end?

No clue. Joe doesn’t write software code.

  114. adam from ny Says:

the play last season where he bobbled the ball on his back keeping it accidentally in the air for extended time, so the defender could intercept it might just be his signature buccaneer play…

after i saw that, i said to my neighbor in the stadium “that play might just make an all time nfl blooper video”…

if i recall, it was at the saints home game

  115. adam from ny Says:

he should go with jameis to jacksonville

  116. FairMinded Says:

I hate this. Not to be negative with all the positives to go on recently, but it seems so Buc like to be losing what is clearly a talented player. Would have been great to get that LT in a trade but anything less than a quality starter or a first is a waste otherwise

  117. matt herrington Says:

Oj is a athlete. Not a good football player

  118. matt herrington Says:

    Brate has always been better

  119. ElioT Says:

    No longer BSPN?

Fair an balanced is NAF SCUB EOJ.

  120. Oneilbucs Says:

Bird Oneilbuc ain’t no fool bro . I know race plays apart for some white folks . This is America and when you talking about the South well we know some of yall still mad about the civil war . And I don’t turn my head to it eather .

  121. Oneilbucs Says:

Man Bruce Arians is full of it watch after this year or next year he will leave our team just like he left the Cardinals .

  122. Lakeland Steve Says:

Don’t be surprised if O.J. Gets packaged with a late round draft pick in exchange for a late 2’nd or early 3’rd round pick on day two of the draft. Maybe a player who really wants to play in Tampa for a championship.

  123. Buccanstopit Says:

Best catch he had was in the stands at a Rays game

  124. TOM Says:

Doc: That was about the dumbest comment I’ve read in a long long time. It sounds like the only one trying to divide the locker room is you. Go peddle your racist remarks somewhere else. Also as far as I’m concerned the Bucs could trade OJ & Brate. (Two thirds or ?)

  125. Sorryjackchuckiesback Says:

He’s got a bad attitude, rumor is he parties too much, he can’t play very well on top of all that!!!! Seeeeee yaaa!! I like Brate better anyway….. I was done with oj after that weak ass attempt at catching a pass he dropped and he just flailed his arms out there pretending to put extra effort into it after he had really already gave up!! This team has no prima donnas and we don’t need any!! Especially ones who aren’t any good

  126. trubuc Says:

JOE! find a better source trust me I am a lot closer than your source. That’s nice, trubuc, but sometimes people who are the closest are those farthest away. –Joe
Oj does not want out he wanted out last year early when he was nt put in to passing game. coaches talked him into trusting them as the reason being was because our line was so bad and trying to protect Jameis. if you listened to conferences it was about OJ getting better at blocking. You NIck Saban got OJ for blocking skills? you think he was drafted for blocking skill? he was drafted to take advantage of mismatches. This is what new Englad did with Gronk but Gronk can block which is added bonus. I think Nick saban knows a thing or two about talent. now sit back hopefully and watch this year as we know gronk will get dinged because its how he plays, but you will see a new OJ who has been in alabama training. He has a QB now why would you want out when this guy will make your next contract. So you think the Bucs will throw for more yards this season? Joe would take that bet all day long.–Joe Eliminate your source he is not talking to OJ.

  127. Trufan Says:

Not more yards but spread it more around. Brady’s forte spread the ball and no defense can key one guy or ones side of the field or make u one dimensional. It’s a logic that works because he did it w multiple receivers throughout his career. Cowboys took off after Harper, Kevin Williams, Novachek we’re incorporated. Just sayin…. offense last year was limited plays to tight ends that changes this year. Get a running back that can pick up a block in passing game tight end becomes a weapon. Tight ends last year compensated for backs that can’t pick up blitzes. Thus the lack of great compliments to backs.
