Tom Brady: QB, NFL Rules Violator?

April 23rd, 2020

“Tom, we still could stay in Montana until the football things starts. People will leave us alone there.”

Yes, Joe is one of the many folks who laughed out loud at Bucs quarterback Tom Brady’s run of bad luck in his new town.

It’s bad enough that one of Tampa mayor Jane Castor’s goons ran Brady out of a park. That chick should have to wax Brady’s cars and clean his swimming pool weekly for the length of Brady’s stay with the Bucs for that stunt.

Then it was hilarious to learn this morning that Brady wandered into a total stranger’s house thinking it was Byron Leftwich’s pad.

(In some parts of this republic, Brady likely would have been shot for that. Some people who pack — and drink — don’t take kindly to folks walking into their abode uninvited.)

But it seems, from the creator, curator and overall guru of Pro Football Talk, the great Mike Florio, that by going to Leftwich’s house, Brady broke an NFL rule and the Bucs are in position to be fined by NFL warden Roger Goodell.

As one source explained it to PFT, players cannot meet with coaches at any time prior to the start of the offseason program. Meetings outside the building are even more problematic, because in many cases those meetings can happen without detection.

“Totally illegal,” the source said. “They should be fined. Plus, I bet those duffel bags had footballs in them.”

In other words, the source suspects that Brady fully intended not only to meet with Leftwich but also to participate in some sort of workout in which Leftwich would have been directly involved.

The biggest question for Joe isn’t if or how much the Bucs might get fined for Brady walking into the wrong house. What Joe would like to know is how big of a check did TMZ big shot Harvey Levin cut to the guy who had his residence violated by Brady?

The way Joe looks at it, if you can go to Publix and meander through the maze that is people clogging the aisles in the produce department, then you ought to be allowed to go to a park by yourself.

See, and you thought distractions were going to just vanish by tossing overboard Mr. Entertainment, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston.

    The balls deflator.

    Joe,

The “guy” that ran Brady out of the park was a female. That much was referenced in a quote I read online.

  4. lambchop Says:

From abc news online, here is the direct quote:

“Our parks are closed down and so a lot of our parks staff they patrol around to make sure that people aren’t doing contact sports and things and saw an individual working out in one of our downtown parks and she went over to tell him that it was closed. And it was Tom Brady,” Castor said. “So he has been sighted.”

  5. Joe Says:

    Thanks lambchop!

  6. Trench War Says:

[Sorry, can’t go there. If you cleaned it up a bit, sure. — Joe]

  7. lambchop Says:

If it were a male parks employee, he probably would have got an autograph and said, “I never saw you, you never saw me.” and walked away.

    Much ado about nothing.

  10. Dewey Selmon Says:

I think Bellicheat hired a PI to follow Tommy Boy to sabotage him.

  11. mark2001 Says:

What a pile… maybe he had footballs in the bag? Sure…he was going to throw the ball around in Lefty’s living room. Who knows what he had in the bag? That is entire speculation. Might as well speculate that he was trying to show lefty his Jock.

  12. Bruce Says:

Ease up JBF. He might not want to speak to you
Joe doesn’t operate out of fear. –Joe

  13. 813bucboi Says:

i’d say their were signed jerseys in the bag!!!!…lol…

bucs will become the bad boys of football…lol…i love it….

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  14. mp8499 Says:

I mean, i dont recall anyone saying the bags were full, or large for that matter. It could easily have been one empty bag he was using to hold the playbook and whatever tapes he was getting.

  15. BD Says:

keep him out of Publix please…

  16. jmarkbuc Says:

The story leaves a lot to be desire. The clip I saw is a dude talking about TB coming in to his house.

I can make a video that says JLo was in my house. Dude didn’t take a selfie? as a courtesy for the intrusion? TMZ is the bastion of veracity..so there’s that.

  17. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Wasn’t a rule violation. The arrangement was that Leftwich not be home when Brady went there. Therefore they never came together and would not have.

  18. Jason Mclaurin Says:

I know right. Nuff said by this Joe. Brady and Gronk need to chill a little. Same thing I would say if Winston were still here and doing those incidents

  19. pick6 Says:

i think with the facilities closed this was the only way to transfer physical materials to a brand new player

  20. HowToSpellRhonde Says:

    @ jmarkbuc

Tom tweeted and confirmed the incident occurred.

  21. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Looks like we are the Patriots South now, including the cheating ha haha.

I see no problem but we will see how the league feels. I mean what a crazy year, he signed to a team where he never met the coach or GM or owners prior to signing. I feel like if there was ever a year to let something like this slide, it would have to be this one.

  22. jmarkbuc Says:

    Rhonde

Time to lock up the Desperado TB 😉

  23. jmarkbuc Says:

And the duffel bags were all the plays he wants left foot to use.

  24. james west Says:

our parks are open in orlando, come on over brady, bring your own though. we got one i walk at is 47 acre’s you will have plenty of room

  25. james west Says:

bring your own water pardon me

  26. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Would be ironic if the NFL suspended Brady though…

  27. Sarasota Garey Says:

I don’t think the Bucs were willing to trade OJ for Gronk. The Patriots were at the Bucs mercy, because Gronk said he would only play with Brady. And Gronk would have counted for 10 mil against them in the salary cap, they don’t even have enough money for their draft picks right now.

  28. BringBucsBack Says:

Those bags were not filled with footballs, try crab legs!

Wake up Joes (& everyone). The Republic is dead! We live in a plutocracy: rule by the rich.

  29. K2 Says:

I think Joe Bucs Fan should register a formal complaint against Tom Brady with the NFL. Maybe you can get him suspended for a few games. It would be particularly effective if you could get tape of any conversations that took place.

  30. Alanbucsfan Says:

Florio needs to stick to football – his takes are usually interesting.
Lately he’s been a gossipy little bitch talking about Coronavirus and Brady.

  31. Donkc Says:

Joe’s right about that caption: we will leave Tom and family alone here in Montana. There rest of you should vacation in Texas or France or something. Draft starts in three hours!

  32. WestChap Says:

I know I shouldn‘t but I take great comfort in both of these “mistakes”. Both tell me that Brady has come to play… SB or bust!

His fire is burning as brightly as ever and, like many of us, he’s got a little cabin fever. If the NFL fines him or the Bucs for his picking up a playbook (hmm?) in person because of the ongoing disruptions (hmm?) its just gonna piss him off… and he plays very well when angry. Go ahead, rile the GOAT.

  33. ItzOK Says:

Snitches get stitches. Who is this Assclown who ratted brady out to TMZ. Winners find a way to win not just sit back and except losing. People in this town are a joke. Keep your mouth shut and tell your story years later. douche

  34. Rayjay1122 Says:

Rules are made to be broken by the new Captain of our Buccaneers. Arghhh

  35. DaBux Says:

Yup, he’s a Pirate already. Give that man his own ship for Gasparilla.

  36. SOEbuc Says:

Keep going to the park to practice Tom. I got your back and your bail.

  37. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

Someone told me Brady had Crab Legs in the Duffel Bag that he and Leftwich planned to dine on later.

  38. DaBux Says:

This has happened to me too after a long night on the town when I lived in Tampa. Then Jenna Jameson asked me to stay for a while.

    Sadly, the wife said “no.”

  39. Bruce Says:

Why do we want a soft QB, Joe? Winston couldn’t help himself and I am very happy we moved on. Nothing personal but I watched my last pick 6 as he stared down the middle of the field or threw high on a post route.

  40. JameisAlmighty! Says:

Brady should be banned from the league. #JameisIsBetter

  41. Lakeland Steve Says:

What a crock of crap. I have it on good authority that he had at about a million meals in those bags to feed the homeless. He also had the top secret paperwork to finally put a stop to global warming. But no, everyone has to assume there were footballs in those bags. I’m sure the so called footballs were under inflated.

  42. christina olive Says:

Castor is a 🤬 and the cop that made our star QB leave the park is worse lol I’m so over this social distancing garbage & I’m getting nervous that we won’t get to enjoy training camp at this rate 😩
