America’s NFL Rookie Of The Week: Jameis

It’s official.
Jameis Winston earned his first NFL award.
Today, James was voted the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week. Interesting that the award is driven by a fan vote on NFL.com.
And people wonder why Joe refers to the No. 1 overall pick and Bucs savior as “America’s Quarterback.
Congratulations, Jameis. Joe’s glad to see the nation realized Jameis had two balls dropped on him, and two passes that could have been (should have been?) caught in the end zone against New Orleans.

Still not sure how Jack Smith did not win NFC defensive player of the week, but oh well. If he keeps it up his recognition will come in due time.

Erick- Jack Smith will win a defensive player OTW award with another 3 sack day, but not this week. McCoy will lay claim. Mallet can’t go lateral. He needs to step up. McCoy should get 3 sacks.
I predict Winston gets sacked about 2 times and Mallet is in for 5.
I just keep hearing about Texans D line, not enough about the Bucs. Johnson and Smith and McCoy are going to tear Houston up. Not to mention David and Alexander.
Houston DLine is good but TB has more weapons. Double JJ all day and they won’t have anything else.
Clowney?? Not 1 sack in 6-7 career games. Bunch of injuries. Hasn’t done a thing yet
Woolfork?? Old run stuffer.
Cushing up the middle is a worry.
JJ is a beast. I expect stocker lining up on him with Gos all day long.
All about running the ball, screens, quick slants, then taking a few shots each half.
Meanwhile Houston has no offense except foster at RB and he isn’t playing.
