Workin’ On The Holiday

May 25th, 2015
No holiday for "America's Quarterback."

No holiday for “America’s Quarterback.”

No, Joe does not take off Memorial Day or any holiday. That’s what separates Joe from other sites. Easter, Christmas, New Year’s Day, Fourth of July, Earth Day, doesn’t matter. Joe posts stories.

Now we have all heard about the football smarts and work ethic of “America’s Quarterback,” Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston. It appears Jameis is like Joe: He’s working on Memorial Day, too.

Not sure who took this video, but someone found Jameis breaking down Dixie Chicks tape on his Surface. That would be Dixie Chicks offense with their former offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter, who is now the Bucs’ OC.

Whoever shot this video you can hear him say, “He never puts this stuff down. Always in the playbook,” referring to Jameis’ apparent desire to study.

The more Joe sees and hears of this, the more Joe isn’t concerned about Jameis. What does concern Joe is keeping Jameis upright and healthy.

    Protect the Chosen One at all costs!

  2. WS99 Says:

    Nah Joe none of that matters. Players around the league will tell you that jersey sales are a greater factor of success than studying game film, on a holiday, on your kitchen counter. I mean if you have to force a kid to study film like that he really has no hope.

  3. WS99 Says:

    Mariota – Canada’s quarterback.

  4. America's Bucs Fan Says:

    1987

    You must be talking about Mariota again as the only thing Winston chooses are shoplifted and stolen crab legs and birthday cakes

  5. The original "Kevin" Says:

    Kenny bell sounds like. They are roommates. Glad to see this

  6. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

    Chosen one indeed…

  7. Buc-A-New Says:

    Im working today even on a day so sacred to me. That’s just what you do if you are the leader of a team or the owner of a business. Have a great Memorial day guys.

  8. Ray Rice Says:

    @DB55

    LMFAO… Canada’s QB! I was thinking more Arena League. I guess Canada is just as bad though.

  9. America's Bucs Fan Says:

    [BrianBucs: Joe sees that this is your third alias this month. Joe’s cracking down on aliases, first off. Might want to stick with “BrianBucs.” And second, Joe is responsible for comments on this site. Suggesting a Bucs player should be in prison is a good way to get banned. It’s a holiday, so Joe is being kind. What happens is essentially your call. — Joe]

  10. Buc1987 Says:

    99..lol I concur, because it’s only a matter of time.

  11. WS99 Says:

    Band of brothers marathon on HBO. It really puts today into perspective for me. God bless our fallen soldiers.

  12. Bucs54 Says:

    @ america’s bucs fan:

    you have to do something illegal or get charged with a crime to go to prison

  13. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

    America’s suc are you implying you recognize one because you are one? Inquiring minds would like to know bro. I mean I kinda like knowing the element I share a room with.

  14. Eric Says:

    I hope that wasn’t last years first buc falcon game. He should look at film where there are two pro teams playing.

  15. Yeah It's me! Says:

    Joe, “America’s Arse”

  16. WalkdaPlank Says:

    Good to see him at work, but is it really that hard to watch film and look at plays? Such back breaking work on a holiday. Poor Jameis.

  17. Capt.Tim Says:

    Mariota=Tonga’s Quarterback
    Winston will explode in the NFL, like he did in college!
    Still need to sign a good vet LT and right Guard. Need “just in Case, and for depth
    That O- line should still be the focus

  18. CocoaBchBuc Says:

    @CaptainTim. Dead on my friend

  19. CocoaBchBuc Says:

    And let me put a blindfold on and throw a dart…”Yeah It’s me” is BrianBucs other alias

  20. Babaloo Says:

    Winston will be America’s Qb by the end of this season! Book it!

    Btw the best thing about being where we are in terms of claiming those off the waiver wire, etc, is that when a team that is very deep in a certain position cuts a player from that position- there is more of a likelyhood that player is or could be pretty good. You can only keep so many players of a particular position.

    SO we may yet get a couple guys.

    Speaking for Pablo

    “Sombreros off to Joe for working all holidays…including Cinco De Mayo….Pablo salutes all Vets today and everyday….making Pablo’s American dream come true.”

  22. BIG al Says:

    @the original kevin, i don’t think that’s Kenny Bell because James say if he’s trying to get our playbook then covers it, pretty sure its someone else.

  23. Chris Says:

    Hey joe you do know it’s jameis posting this to Instagram right? You’re righting about an Instagram video. How do you know he didn’t put that playbook down and party after that 15 second video?

  24. Buc1987 Says:

    Yuck Pablo…It’s a shame so many of my fellow americans died for 15 million of your illegal brothers and sisters.

    Yeah and it’s just as easy for some kid that just had millions of dollars dropped in his lap to just say screw it and only work on the playbook when he is obligated to. I really think he enjoys the game as much as he hypes himself to. That is the BIG THING that changed my mind about him. I was originally against him just based on what was being said, but after watching his games, and interviews….it seems like he is sincerely obsessed with winning. It’s nice to see we have someone like that leading the way. I am excited for the future seasons as a Bucs fan.

  26. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @1987

    “Pablo is legal….was born in America…..Pablo is hurt…..Pablo is sweet to everyone on JBF….and has always been friendly to 87. 87 must have made a pass at an illegal TS and was shunned. Pablo thinks 87 needs to stick to his redneck Pasco County boyfriends.”

    he should be looking at good and bad plays and what better way to learn visually than when a play is wide open…

    “It’s a shame so many of my fellow americans died for 15 million of your illegal brothers and sisters.”

    this is just ignorant to the situation. sorry, 1987.

  29. Buc-A-New Says:

    One of the few times I have agreed with lurker. Out of bounds bro.

  30. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @ 87

    Americans die for their country….their brothers…their family….fellow Americans….if anyone else benefits….and many do….then that is purely bonus.
    America is so great….everybody wants in. I’m sure you were simply trying to be humorous and just missed the mark. (Jersey Grief)

  31. Buc-A-New Says:

    Truth as usual TBBF. I want to start up a fund for 87’s jersey. I will donate $ 10 for Erik’s welching.

  32. Strider #FamousJameis Says:

    Evan Mathis I hope we can get a hold of that man beast!!!

  33. Stanglassman Says:

    He’s most likely studying ATL film from the last couple of years not the Bucs.

    It very well could be K.Bell and Jameis is smart enough to realize he is filming him and other people will see it too.

  34. Stanglassman Says:

    Erik acting like his computer was crashing every time he enters JBF was too funny. We have all seen him on here since the draft. I guess he doesn’t have public library card to use their computer? But really what’s the likelihood of only having one devise to get on to JBF in 2015 and then waiting 3 1/2 weeks to get it repaired?

  35. BLITZ Says:

    Caught on tape listening to Beats headphones. Aren’t players only allowed to listen to Bose?

  36. Ray Rice Says:

    @BLITZ

    LMFAO good one. The commish should be handing him a fine here shortly… I can tell you’re an old school cat. You said “caught on tape.” Tape is old school as FUK! LOL!

    Read your statement, and tell me why you do not understand me typing that you are STUPID!

  38. Jim Says:

    We have the next Andrew Luck. Be thankful Tampa, good things are coming.

  39. lurker Says:

    sorry, silly person, if you do not understand what i typed…despite your poor attempt at humor.

  40. pick6 Says:

    jamarcus manziel, obviously. when will this kid start taking football seriously?

  41. pick6 Says:

    ok, i watched the video. my wife and i will be purchasing winston jerseys at the first home preseason game, and we are all in, but even i have to say that looks pretty staged. i don’t think it was “hey look i work hard!” propoganda, but i wonder if his sponsorship with Beats involves a certain number of appearances in his social media postings, since he can’t promote them “on the job” due to the NFL\Bose sponsorship. based on the way he is dressed, i doubt he spent all day Monday inside looking at film. still admirable to put extra time in…i can only imagine what our last “franchise QB” looked like by day 3 of a 3-day weekend in the offseason
