Hungry JPP

October 18th, 2018

Appetite for rookies.

To Joe, hands down the best move made in the offseason was trading a third-round pick to New York for Jason Pierre-Paul.

The guy has been everything the Bucs wanted and more. Dude is on pace for 16 sacks — 16! This team was so starved for a guy who could get sacks that if he reached eight, JPP may have been awarded a free dinner at Bern’s Steak House.

So with the Browns coming to Tampa this Sunday, JPP was asked yesterday about quarterback Baker Mayfield.

Let’s just say JPP is salivating.

“He’s a rookie quarterback, man. I love it,” JPP said. “Rookie quarterback and progressed into being in the NFL and I’ll be chasing him this Sunday.”

Joe hopes JPP gives Mayfield a very warm welcome two or three times.

Big game for the Bucs on Sunday. If the Bucs lose, they are no longer Cleveland South.

If the Bucs lose, they are the new Cleveland Browns.

They better be preparing for the Brown rushing attack

Bucs are already the Cleveland Browns. Those two fluke wins the defense tried to blow are clouding your judgement. They caught two teams off guard and still almost lost both.

    4-12. If they’re lucky.

It’ll be fun watching Vea try to fire out of his stance this week- he’s a very powerful man!

Lakeland right again, rookie qb against a historically bad defense, best thing is a great rushing attack led by nick chub, carlos hyde and duke johnson, and then easy throws for baker…and mark it down antonio callaway back in florida will have a 50-60 yd play for a TD, and duke johnson against one of the LBs on a wheel riute is going to be an easy throw for baker

    Thanks Dusthty

I don’t see why the Browns wouldn’t run against the Bucs
They have ran for 100+ yards in every game, except the Saints
They ran for 93 against the Saints
Todd Haley will mix it up

I hope the Bucs are preparing for it

“If the Bucs lose, they are no longer Cleveland South.” Come on Joe. The spelling and wrong words lately, have really been bad.

Extremely lucky to have JPP and his drive for excellence on this team. Would be great to see it rub off on the rest of the D line this week.

Lose to the Browns and it’s Don Meredith “Turn out the lights” time. Defense will continue to suck and JW will throw another 2 drive killing picks and sprinkle in a fumble as well. Matador Benenoch is gonna whiff a lot and Garrett is gonna have a day. 31-21 Browns. TB is on the clock. Another great year for us fans.

i just do not see the ship getting righted, she’s listing badly, and barely made port, too many holes to plug, hope i’m wrong, but the change in all honesty should’ve came in training camp, smith’s defense had a history of atrociousness going back to his stint in atlanta, and koetter just could not man up and do something bout it, so licht had to, but he waited to late, this whole season has been shipwrecked before it started with winstons suspension, and the illusion of the two wins by fitz, oh well here we go again, we should be used to it

Would like to see him get some help, maybe some game changing sacks, does no good if you sack the QB on 2nd down then we give up a 3rd and 17, ijs

  13. Season Is Over Says:

You lose to the Browns and the season is officially over. Dirk “We were done before Halloween” Koetter will be in the home stretch. A five game win streak seems implausible at this point. 2-4 with this schedule is disaster waiting to happen. Must-win game without a doubt.

Big man’s going to have to step up with some of his compadres missing. Go get ’em JPP! You da’ man!

  15. MadMax Says:

I know I made a comment last week that the Bucs players are just a bunch of rich guys posing as football players…bunch of posers…but this guy isnt one of them…JPP is a prime example of how most of the defense better be playing like, attitude and all, or they’re gone too, just like mike smith! Save your dancing skills for after a win, if we win!

  16. McBuc Says:

Most people thought we would be at 3-3 or 2-4 at this point before the season started. You guys are Debbie downers. Let’s see what happens with Duff before we simply give up. The Browns are better than they are getting credit for on this site, but they are beatable. The defense has to come to play though. You know how these rookie and noname QBs come in here and look like the greatest show on turf. I hope they figure it out before the third quarter this week.

1-10 against rookie quarterbacks since 2011…..make that 1-11 after Sunday.
