  1. Loyaltotheend Says:

He’s blind to Mike Smith being awful so he gets no confidence from this fan. Smitty will cost a lot of good people their jobs

  2. Ryan McGregor Says:

Well. That plummeted. How can you blame us?

  3. Robert Says:

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are working out former first round pick QB Paxton Lynch today.

    yeah baby

  4. Doctor Stroud Says:

I have voted “little confidence” from the very beginning. Unfortunately, I am glad that most have come around to my view.

  5. Dewey Selmon Says:

This whole franchise is at a crossroads, AGAIN!. it’s going to come down to Winston saving everyone’s job including his. 7-5 the next 12 games or blow it all up. I would rather see Winston with another coaching staff than Dirk with another QB.

  6. Buc believer Says:

I have always voted little cotand just changed to no confidence. When friendships are more of a priority than the team (Dirk denies it but it’s true) then there is a MAJOR problem.

  7. Bucsfan951 Says:

I went from little confidence to no confidence. Mentally weak team lead by a mentally weak head coach.

  8. D-Rome Says:

If you voted Totally Confident at this point, you’re a troll.

It’s still little confidence from me, and it’s been that way for a couple of years now. My vote would change if Mike Smith was relieved of his duties (which doesn’t necessarily mean fired).

The mouth breathers on this site ragged on Lovie for being loyal to his own son. I’m wondering where those same people are ragging on Dirk Koetter and his loyalty.

  9. Couch Fan Says:

Its funny how much people are swayed just by wins and losses instead of paying attention through out the tenure. I have voted little confidence since this thing started. Dirk is a good guy. I want him to succeed but it was very clear very early on, just like Lovie, that he just doesnt have the coaching “it”. Its great that the players love him but it means nothing if you cant get them to play for you and this thing between him and Smith is sickening. For him its ride or die with Smitty and now they are both flat lining. Good luck in your future endeavors. Bring on the next Bucs HC! If this makes me not a “real fan” then so be it.

  10. SchwiftyBuc Says:

Little confidence. Just like I’ve voted on every single one of these. And for the same reason. Dirk Koetter is too stubborn to do himself a huge favor and cut the cord from Mike Smith. And It will more than likely cost him his own job.

  11. SchwiftyBuc Says:

OMG ROBERT! You just outted yourself as an ignoramus. Paxton Lynch hasn’t even been 1/10th the QB Jameis has been in this league. In fact Lynch has been pure garbage. Yet you prefer him #3 and I’m fairly certain I know the real reason why…

  12. unbelievable Says:

I have voted “confident” on all of these since training camp. I know Koetter has the ability, but he needed to improve things to get up to very confident.

However today I have officially changed to “little confidence”. His loyalty to Mike Smith will be his undoing.

He is the head coach. That means the defense is his responsibility. They are dead last in the league right now, somehow looking even worse than last year, with much more talent then they had in 2017.

If something does not change immediately, this entire regime will be gone and we will be rebuilding for the 5th time in 11 years! Shameful!

  13. jjbucfan Says:

Here is why Dirk (or Licht) should be fired immediately, why are they bringing in a sh*tty QB instead of offensive linemen and defensive backs? Why is Jerel Worthy being cut and bringing in an unknown DT? smoke and mirrors!! Mike Smith should have been fired after the season last year, dirk almost did (Gruden talk), This is insane, I always defend the Glazers but this is just stupidity. The go through soccer managers left and right but they want to see more from this joker? seriously?

  14. Jmarkbuc Says:

Why in the world would we be working out Paxton Lynch?

First of all he ain’t good and second,

What’s wrong with the other two?

    Somethings up here…..

  15. Dlavid Says:

Couch Fan ; and to those of the same thought… after a bitch slap of a game we endured Sunday there has to be a change or sacrifice made to the justify fans continued support ! The D was hidden behind Fitzmagic for a couple of weeks getting by on a play or two . Enough to save their hide ! Having the offense on the field protecting a lead week one and two was the reason we preserved victory . D could not hold the Steelers at the end week three and sh*t their pants right at mid field week four . This has been an ongoing problem far to long . Last place D last year and stinking it up beyond at nauseas this year . Koetter has sealed his fate and lost the fan support . Glazers need to go ahead and spare the fans the agony of this season and give us all some crumb of hope .

  16. SchwiftyBuc Says:

    @jmark

Literally the only rational explanation I can think of that’s not dumb as hell, is that we may possibly be considering trading Fitzpatrick. Perhaps to someone like the 49er’s because their starter is down for the year. Sounds far fetched, but that’s the only reason I can think of as to why we’d be working out a garbage, nothing, 3rd string at best QB in Paxton Lynch.

  17. Couch Fan Says:

Who are the real losers here? Buc Fans who have to endure this crap game after game, season after season. At this point it amazes me this team has any fans whatsoever.

  18. Brandon Says:

I have such a hard time understanding what the main problem with team is. Is it coaching, is it the players, the owners, or maybe a little all combined together. The first two weeks were great, but still we had the same issues from last year carry right over into this year, no running game and horrid defense. The Bears exposed us and used our weaknesses to their advantage. Apply pressure taking away our only offense, passing the ball, because we have no run game. Defensively, were way to predictable and not good at adjusting on the fly. I scratch my head because I can’t believe Koetter is literally risking his job because of loyalty to Smith. Either they fix this thing and finish strong or the offseason will be very interesting to follow.

  19. PlayAction Interactive Says:

The problem is both Smith and Koetter. They have outdated coaching styles that is evidenced by the much higher output when Todd Monken took over play calling duties.

I believe the same thing would happen if Buckner took over on defense.

  20. T REX Says:

He can take his BFF and haul ass. The guy is a terrible head coach. Another Glazer bust. I am so glad we did not renew our seats. Go Bolts!

  21. Robert Says:

I never said he’s better than Jameis, FHITP, crabby patty, it wasn’t me, Winston.

It does say they are ready to move on from Winston though.

If A LOT of the fans can be happy to see the coaching staff get fired for JW to get another shot, why can I not be happy if the reverse is true?

    Oh I know………shhhhhhhh though, right?

  22. Couch Fan Says:

Nobody said you cant, its just idiotic. And that is your right.

  23. SchwiftyBuc Says:

    @Robert

It doesn’t mean that at all. You only think it does because you’re a dummy.

  24. Buc1987 Says:

    Couch Fan….remember robert6? That’s this idiot.

    The Mayor of Idiotville.

  25. SchwiftyBuc Says:

Also, the only thing that’s going to get this coaching staff fired is this inept, incompetent, awful, foul, stinking, wretch of a defensive scheme and coordinator.

  26. Buc1987 Says:

I went from not going below confident in all previous polls to no confidence for the first time.

They have 2 weeks. Fix it. Good luck!

If Smitty’s still here…. if they get blown out defensively at Atlanta…..then I vote Absolutely No Confidence.

  27. Wausa Says:

    Robert:

No it does not say they are moving on from Winston(not even close)

@SchwiftyBuc is way more accurate in his analysis of you than you are of the Bucs intentions.

  28. Walter Seidel Says:

I’ve been a staunch “NO COFIDENCE” from the very first. And now others are joining the bandwagon.

  29. Walter Seidel Says:

    “NO CONFIDENCE” typo….

  30. Tampabaybucfan Says:

The significant drop in Koetter’s confidence is because of the blowout in Chicago coupled with his inability/refusal to do anything regarding Mike Smith…..

I support Koetter and wish him well….I hope Mike Smith is able to turn things around but I fear if he does it….that will be the end of both of them.

Somehow, I think Licht gets a pass because I don’t think he will receive the blame for the Bucs on-field performance. He got the FAs and drafted primarily defensive players and the entire defense including proven veterans are failing.

  31. GhostofSchiano Says:

Couch Fan Says: Bring on the next Bucs HC! If this makes me not a “real fan” then so be it.

Your not a real fan, your a passionate fan. Like so many of us we are sick of this garbage. Raheem Morris was unprepared to be a head coach, Greg Schiano was not ready for it either, Lovie Smith it appears the game just passed him by, and Dirk Koetter like Couch said does not have “IT”.

Bring in a proven commodity that will demand the respect of the players.

Whether it be a Rex Ryan, Jack Del Rio or Chuck Pagano because this losing, ( getting blown out) year after year after year has gotten old.

    ENOUGH. #FIXITGLAZERS

  32. Ugandan Knuckles Says:

It’s fun how these fluctuate. But it’s hard to be confident when the defense is so bad and he won’t do anything to fix it.

  33. jjbucfan Says:

Schwifty-I think that is definitely what is going on and I think you are right about it being SF, but we have RG4 that Koetter seems to love (and he has shown potential) but why show your hand? Were we worried that Paxton freaking Lynch would have to give his boss at Sonic 2 weeks notice? If they do bring him in and I’m RG4, I’m outta here, Lynch couldn’t cup RG4’s balls

  34. GhostofSchiano Says:

Buc1987 Says: If Smitty’s still here…. if they get blown out defensively at Atlanta…..then I vote Absolutely No Confidence.

Which means in two weeks to prepare for a team they will have failed miserably.

They have two weeks to study film and game plan, rest players, re-boot and recharge.

IF they get curb stomped like before, then I agree with Koetter post game comments, fire him and smitty

  35. Jameis Almighty! Says:

About time people started wising up about Koetter. last week there were less than a handful of No Confidence at all votes. I was proudly one of them. Love this poll. Can you put one up for Jason’s licht? Or is that too much of a risk to get your press credentials revoked?

  36. Jameis Almighty! Says:

Jason Licht is so bad at picking players through the draft and most of his FA signings are no good. It’s almost impossible for someone to miss on so many draft picks and signings. Trying to make a case for him being good at something, but the only thing that comes to mind is how good he is at loving AC/DC.

  37. unbelievable Says:

    @87,

I thought it might be Robert9 as well, except I remember all his posts being even dumber. And a lot angrier.

@Jameis Almighty! – What in the h3ll are you talking about? He’s had more hits than misses.

    M Evans
    J Winston
    A Marpet
    D Smith
    K Alexander (maybe)
    OJ Howard
    Chris Godwin
C Sims (people hate the pick, but he was productive and effective when used properly. That’s more on the coaching staff IMO)
    J Evans
    J Whitehead
    Carlton Davis
    J Watson
    Kendall Beckwith
Even Noah Spence looked like a beast before he got injured
Plus a bunch of rookies from this year that’s it too early to tell on.

2016 is really the only bad draft.

  38. Jameis Almighty! Says:

There should be more names on that list. Like Derwin James Jr. Mike Evans, Jameis are stars. The rest of that list are serviceable NFL players, not stars. He doesn’t draft stars! How can you not see this. He’s a whiffer when it comes to the rounds where the bulk of the stars come from. I’m not satisfied with a GM who specializes in 4th round and above talent.

  39. Jameis Almighty! Says:

Godwin has shown great hands and looks like a really good player. Justin Evans hasn’t been great. Sims was not good at all. Below average at best with no chance to be a franchise q.b. Kwon was a good pick, injuries have derailed his career. I liked the Spence pick. it’s unfortunate he didn’t work out and has been a bust.

Just so many players that I was screaming at the TV for him to pick and he didn’t pick any of them. Tarik Cohen, Derwin James… I should get the list out one day and show u how bad Licht’s been and what he’s missed. Inexcusable. Brutal. Fireable.

This doesn’t even include his terrible free agent money giveaways and panic hiring Koetter. Koetter is the worst pick. His whole body of work is bad. Im a huge Jameis fan. But since fans keep piling on jameis and this fan base is divided on him, that’s a bad pick too.

To recap. Bad drafts. Bad free agents. Bad coaching hires. Dividing the fan base. Plus the Bucs aren’t winning. That’s a bunch of bad stuff.

I’d be a better GM. Matter of fact, I’m submitting my resume.

  40. Gene Deckerhoff is my hero Says:

    ATTN: One Buc Place
My name is Jerome Blarter. Please review the attached resume for your soon to be vacant GM job. Your organization will succeed with my proven success in management and hiring. My background includes coaching and management jobs in the Atlanta Braves organization and as a former player for the 4 time state champions UNC-Greensboro club football team. I was the quarterback, defensive end, and punter. I also played in the XFL as a full back under the name of Dick Rambone. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Kind Regards,
    -Jerome Blarter

  41. Gene Deckerhoff is my hero Says:

There’s your cover letter Jameis Almighty’s cover letter!

  42. Boogie-Nightz Says:

Maybe he should be fired too??!! Just sick and tired of being sick and tired. Sigh

  43. Brandon Says:

That’s funny, i have had LITTLE CONFIDENCE in Koetter every week except for after week 2… when i was CONFIDENT…. it’s funny how after NOW we’ve got 65% of everybody lacking confidence in him… either you do or you don’t, not much should change that. He’s the same crappy coach that hangs onto the even crappier defensive coordinator. That much will always be true.

  44. Jameis Almighty! Says:

When the Bucs went 2-0 and the Vegas offs didn’t move from 40-1 that was a big enough tell that Vegas confidence level is still NO CONFIDENCE

  45. Jameis Almighty! Says:

Very Funny Gene is my Hero… I would try to come up with something witty but you nailed me being the the QB, Punter and d-end on a school that doesn’t have a football team.

  46. Rod Munch Says:

The swings in this poll crack me up, however I will say I upped my vote from No Confidence to Little Confidence after the Saints and Eagles game since I said Dirk appears to not be getting in the way Monken calling plays – and if he just gets his nose out of Monken’s business and allows the team to continue to attack deep and forget about the dumb worthless run up the middle, then that will be by far Dirk’s best decision since becoming head coach.

Then what happens? The Bucs come out against the Steelers and on literally the first offensive play of the game, they run up the middle for 1.8 yards, and then that picks up more and more as the game goes along.

So the one week blip to ‘Little Confidence’ is back to where it belongs as Dirk takes back control of the offense and runs the offense into the ground, at 1.8 ypc.
