Tanard Jackson In Disbelief

November 5th, 2011

If there’s anyone wondering whether Tanard Jackson has remained humble in the face of recently jumping off his couch after a year-long suspension, getting two interceptions in two games, and a new multimillion dollar contract, then his latest interview on the Buccaneers Radio Network should answer that question.

Justin “The Commish” Pawlowski interviewed Jackson for a segment that will air Sunday on the Bucs pregame show on WDAE-AM 620 and other network affiliates. But Joe heard a snippet on the radio yesterday.

Jackson was asked to share his feelings on his comeback and said he didn’t want to credit “luck” but he can’t rule it out.

“I’m still wondering how this is all happening,” Jackson said. “It’s a blessing.”

Count Joe among those still amazed by what T-Jax has accomplished. Sadly, though good for Jackson, he leads the Bucs with two interceptions. Five other Buccaneers have one.

However he got to this point, Joe’s damn glad the Bucs’ ball-hawk-in-chief is the secondary.

He should be in disbelief- he’s very lucky to have a job. That being said, I hope he keeps his head on straight, and continues to play at a pro-bowl level. The Bucs need him to stay clean. One more blown drug test, and he can kiss it all good bye…..

I love Coach Rah but CB/DB are his babies. He raves on Biggers and the like. I know he is just being his normal “very positive self” but besides Free (spoke bout it since the preseason Mab Douche) the CB/DB play has been not good enough; not turnin heads around, flags on hand placement/holding/pass interference. We need the DB’s and the QB to play better and then the LBs/DLs/WRs will make lots more plays. In turn Bucs fans will see the Ws.

    Face,
    Sambizle

He’s off the gunja but I’m starting to think takin is on it lol he gets more flags than an international vendor lol and his reaction to promised interceptions this year his reaction time looks like he’s high and playing. I’m a big talib fan but its cold outside and I’m tired of cover him up with excuses….so freeze like u do on pump fakes Mr. Talib :0)

    Talib* not takin…dumb smart phone…lol

We got him for a steal compared to other players at his position that are far inferior of T Jack… Win/win situation be Jackson’s still young enough to earn a one big contract if he stays clean and keeps ballin like this. If on the other hand he gets caught again the Bucs don’t lose very much money (which is very important to the Glazer’s).

Loved this guy since he laid out Dallas Clark.

  8. Captain Stagger Says:

TJax is probably the most talented instinctual player on our team. He’s one of our only pro bowl caliber players. (Penn would be a close second)

Apparently, the loss of Ruud, getting McCoy back from injury (only to be reinjured) and the additions of Bowers and Clay have made this defense worse.-Thomas 2.2 Hmm im starting think that thomas is a little racist. Considering hed rather have gruden than morris considering morris is a pretty good coach. And he still would rather have rudd over foster even though foster has been much better against the run than ruud. Hmmm…

  10. D-Rome Says:

I can’t believe there were still haters out there who felt the Bucs should not have brought him back.

  11. BecklesHeartsRuud Says:

D-Rome- I dont think anyone hated T-Jax. Just didnt trust him. Still way too early to trust him but I think we will all enjoy the ride with him as long as it lasts. I think all real fans hope that ride is very long. Really I have zero problem with pro athletes or anyone else smoking weed as long as they can do their job at the same time. Unfortunately for Tjax he has one of those jobs where they regularly test you. Hopefully he learned how to beat those damn tests cuz i know he aint the only one chiefing in the NFL.

I found it so ridiculous that he couldn’t figure out a way to pass these drug tests. I know that NFL tests are probably pretty accurate but I’ve passed some screens for the government before when I had no doubt in my mind I could be dirty. Strip XL I believe it was called was only $49.95 and worked multiple times for me.
