The outcome of a preseason game my not count, but it all matters. I did not get to see the game (hoping to catch a replay on NFL Network), but not sure I needed to see it to know there were some major issues.

While it does matter, let’s not all overact. They have some time to coach these guys up. Let’s not forget that there was a lockout. We’re going to see some rough football out of a young team like this. Hopefully they use it as a learning experience and go back to work.

If anyone believes we are ready to dethrone the leagues elite, you are a year or two early. What we are ready to do is get in the playoffs, and start learning what it takes to be an Elite team.

What still bothers me is that we went backwards this year. It was obvious last night, that Graham is NOT the blocker/ pass protector that Caddy was. Quincy Black, in addition to being unable to stop a running back, also cannot reset the defense in a timely fashion. And while I like Foster’s ability to hit, that’s not his most important job in this defense. He was bad in pass coverage. He always has been.

Black should move to the middle. He’ll still be pretty much useless, but at least then Foster can smash RBs at the Sam position. At least one spot will then be doing it’s job!

I would rather a good old fashioned tail kicking happen in preseason…big wakeup for the ‘youngry’! Coach will use this as a teaching moment and chew out these pups…all things that need to happen as the team matures. Looking forward to a great season GO BUCS!

Preseason is close to meaningless. I remember a Pats fan sitting next to me last night saying that in the season the Pats went 16-0, he thinks they went 0-4 in the preseason and the prediction for the regular season was doom and gloom.

I answered “NO”. Because I don’t view the Bucs as anymore than a 5-11 team at best. Where are the improvements??? I see the NFL’s youngest team just get younger aka less experienced. There is a solid reason for Bowers being passed over by every team in the league, yet Mark Dominick thinks he & One-Arm Clayborne is the pass rush answer. The Bucs Defense is a JOKE and not resigning Carnell Williams was a mistake. Josh Freeman might be out by week 4. Blount is clueless about blitz pickup and Graham just dives at rushers instead of puttin his pads on em. I AM EXTREMLY DISAPPOINTED

    I answered “NO!” also.

It is about what I expected. If the Lions do that to the Bucs in week 1 then the Bucs will likely be in for a rough season.
