Re: Jake Browniing-
The Bucs could possibly obtain Dillon Gabriel from Browns for a 6th round pick.

Me and old Junebug just listened to our favorite podcast. It will be football season before we get to listen to another one- together. Flying to Seattle in the morning, then a week in the Rocky Mountains watching my golf ball fly 10% further. Hitting a few of our National Parks and then St. Louis for my third annual grandson’s baseball camp for a week. Finishing our trip in Florida! Another 4 days of golf and be back home the 16th of August. I get to see the Florida heat you guys talk about- here in NE Oklahoma it’s about 103 today and tomorrow- 110 or so heat index. I don’t believe Florida has much on Oklahoma heat but we’ll see.
Can’t help but think we’ve got a better football team than most think. Winfield, yeah he’s talented and a playmaker, but call me old school when I see our defense getting burned for 6 long TDs last season. All I can think of is where is the secondary? Especially our safeties. Bucky did lose it on the sidelines last season- saw him barking at Wirfs. He was frustrated and injured. But man, the guy can rush for 1200 yards and he didn’t need many carries to do it. Would really help out if he’s healthy.
It’s not wrong thinking this season might be a turning point for some of these players and coaches. But it’s wrong to think that, the last 3 years this team hasn’t shown flashes of being a good team. 23 we were a quarter from the NFC championship game. 24 we got 45 plays and Washington had 70 plays, still had to rattle one off the goalposts with no time left to beat us. 25 some folks had us the most powerful team in the league through 8 games. Taking down Houston and Seattle on the road wasn’t smoke and mirrors. Myriad of reasons we didn’t keep it going, but we didn’t.
Could we be better than those 3 teams? We could. Absolutely. But for now it’s all conjecture. And I’m gonna spend the run up to this season conjecturing on how I’m gonna hit it further. And higher. And straighter. And I ain’t whistling Dixie!!

Teams Mayfield Might go to if not retained by Tampa
Carolina, (MAYBE) Bryce Young has not shown he’s worth the #1 overall pick, yet
ATL the combination of Penix and Tua proves they are going to be fighting for a top 10 pick in 2027
Vikings, good offensive mind in place and an elite WR but a bad QB situation
Dolphins, Jets, Steelers, and Cardinals. Mayfield has to ask himself are any of these scenarios better than what he has in Tampa?
Also those teams have to weigh is it worth over paying Baker or drafting a young QB. As a fan, I am not worried about Baker, if he balls out and the team plays well he is back if he doesn’t play well the Bucs are drafting high and starting over and Todd is GONE.

There’s about 15 teams Mayfield can go to. Let’s pay him and not let him do that. We need Mayfield and he’s in a great situation here. The defense will probably improve and the offense has a great O-Line and weapons. Pay him and let’s see how far we get this season hopefully with minimal or no major injuries.
I’ll bet pretty far if we can stay healthy!
