Benjamin Morrison Is Injured

June 11th, 2026

Brittle Ben?

Second-year cornerback Benjamin Morrison is injured, Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said after practice today. Morrison did not practice and Bowles said he has a “leg injury” but offerered no further details.

The first NFL injury report of the season is not required to be released until four days prior to the Week 1 kickoff.

Bowles not sharing more about Morrison’s injury probably means it’s something more than just an annoying toe tweak.

It’s June 11, but the injury is somewhat alarming since Morrison entered last offseason healing from surgery, and then was injured during his rookie season. NFL coaches always say players need to learn out to play and practice when they’re hurting — not injured, hurt.

Is Rasul Douglas’ agent in Jason Licht’s phone?

This guy is more paper-mache than Kancey. FFS I thought these guys were supposed to be the “Gladiators” of our culture. These sissy azz divas can’t play 3 games in a row.

  2. Kgh4life Says:

Jason Licht loves his draft picks, thus is what happens when hope for things to happen.

  3. MelvinJunior Says:

I’ll just say exactly what I said the last time… Well, of course he is! The “Godson” LoL.

  4. Dano407 Says:

    Oh man. Here we go!

  5. Badbucs Says:

Rasul, Akuda, Diggs and a few others still out there. We’re already short a couple of vets. JL is waiting for the good ones to get picked up so he can go dumpster diving like always. There will be guys at the cut downs, but unknown quality and quantity.

  6. Hodad Says:

This is a good thing. It should be painfully obvious by now this kid is damaged goods. Licht thought he was getting a steal in the 2nd round , when I doubt he was even on any team’s draft board. He was injured in high school, college, and now as a pro. Time for Licht to look outside for a real corner. Don’t count on Morrison.

  7. 813bucboi Says:

    discouraging lol…

lets hope its an ankle sprain and not a hammy…

    GO BUCS!!!

  8. ModHairKen Says:

Just like Dean, a history of injuries and Licht still took him.

    And now it’s a problem.

Gets injured in pajama football! Can’t wait to see how long he lasts when they play for real. Wasted pick!!! Time to get a veteran.

Hodad … ‘He was injured in high school, college, and now as a pro. Time for Licht to look outside for a real corner. Don’t count on Morrison.’

Don’t like counting on him as a starter Hodad, but as a backup I think he’d be fine.

  12. Scotty Mack Says:

The Bucs have a bad history with their 2nd round draft picks lately. Hopefully, that trend doesn’t continues with Trotter.

  13. Chris Says:

Wild that people who couldn’t make it out of high school sports would call some of the greatest athletes on the planet, who worked hard enough to make it to the highest level of one of the toughest sports in the world a “sissy azz diva” because they got an injury severe enough to keep them off the field. Some of these guys play with injuries that would keep your normal person out of work for a month. But they’re a “sissy azz diva” for literally getting injured lol. Would love to see how hard you cry after attempting to tackle an NFL player. You would end up in the hospital for months lol “sissy azz diva” 🤣

  14. Mveal2006 Says:

Ouch. Plan so that If he ever contributes its a pleasant surprise

  15. The Fighting Schianoes Says:

What Christ said. Bunch of pathetic trolls on here.

  16. Bee Says:

If we were in August it would concern me more but for now its still very early. Honestly, at his healthiest I’m not sure how good he really is. I wish Licht would’ve gotten another vet CB but he’s not allowed to spend money. Lets see how he feel around training camp.

  17. Football 1 Says:

Many of us including you Joe have been saying it. Morrison and NcColumn are huge gambles, which apparently Licht and Bowles are in denial or can’t see the forest for the trees. Anyway the good news I have been saying , Go get a vet who can play the position let Morrison and McColumn sit on the bench as depth pieces.
That way less time on the field for Morison the the better as far as injuries.
I don’t know how much more of a wake up call you need. Any kind of injury with flag football given his history is not good

  19. Mobucs Says:

Was Morrison the guy Goodell saw on the ground that cost us a practice?

  20. infomeplease Says:

He missed last season’s pre season training. He was getting a pass on production because of that with hopes of producing this season. Now this… Doesn’t look good.

  21. infomeplease Says:

Should be time to acquire a durable vet. As insurance.

  22. Kenton Smith Says:

I wish we knew what it was. Last year it was the hamstring, but the guy had both hips operated on before we got him- which had me plenty worried. Trotter had about as many surgeries before the draft as Morrison. Yep, that’s my next worry. Management downplaying the risks both those guys presented is gonna kick us directly in the teeth, although we’re gonna “hope” for the best. Inside linebacker and cornerback. If those 2 guys don’t turn out for us, we’ll maybe have learned that most valuable of predictors- your past is the best predictor of your success. Someone better tell Baker we’re gonna have to spend some money on inside linebacker and corner, so he may want to hold back on those prime steaks for a minute or two.

  23. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Hopefully it’s not serious

  24. Lt. Dan Says:

I saw Morrison on a video a few minutes ago. He was standing by a coach or trainer. Looked to me like he was slightly uncomfortable and was maybe trying to loosen up the upper thigh or groin area. hard to tell but it didn’t look too bad.

  25. Tony Says:

This is why I was iffy on drafting him from the beginning. Being injury prone.

  26. Ash Says:

Easy the sky isn’t falling he is supposed to be back by mandatory mincamp good gracious lol

  27. Teacherman Says:

    Bowles God-son.

    Nepotism at its finest.

Bowles should be under scrutiny simply for wasting a 2nd round pick on a nephew.

    3rd round? Okay.

But Morrison had 2 hip surgeries. Not worth a 2nd round pick. I’m sorry.

    Parrish was an amazing pick.

But I’m really tired of wasting 2nd round picks.

Trask, Braswell, Aguayo, MJ Stewart, Logan Hall.

2nd round should always be BPA at high value positions.

The 2nd round is rich with guards, right tackles, safeties, middle linebackers, running backs, and tight ends.

The 2nd round is for great players at undervalued positions. Period!

  28. Steve V. Says: Says:

    Next man up! Still early…

  29. LynchMob50 Says:

Another second round bust for Bud Licht. Same old song and dance.

I’m sure Bowles demanded he get picked because he’s Morrison’s Godfather.

The best ability is availability. Not just another broken toy.

Bowles defense will be an absolute dumpster fire in 2026.

Joe Burrow will have 8 TD’s and 600 yards passing.

  30. Bucscoott Says:

    Cut him

  31. Pickgrin Says:

Bowles also used the term “knicked up” – which implies that its not a serious injury. Surprised Joseph didn’t mention that part….

  32. Kenton Smith Says:

Pickgrin, I don’t remember the term Coach used for JMac’s supposed neck contusion. But it sure wasn’t “the dude has a broken neck”.

  33. Stallworth Says:

Typical Licht 2nd round pick. This guy is a bust. Our secondary is going to poop the bed this year and will get Bowles fired so I’m ok with it.
