But he doesn’t say “I” Lee, everything is a “We” or “the players”. There’s no personal accountability in either of those two. Practically every other coach out there gives a “it’s on me as HC”, “it’s my responsibility”, etc response when dealing with a loss or tough stretch of games. Completely absent from Todd. He WILL throw his hand-picked OC & coaching staff under the bus first chance he gets though…

The “other teams seem to be more excited to play/come with more effort” issue has been a Tampa trait since Todd took over. This isn’t just a last year thing. Even with Brady this team showed inconsistent effort week-in & week-out under Todd. Understand it’s common to have the short term memory happening, but go back and watch the last 4 years & you’ll see a distinct pattern & trend. There’s a reason Todd is a below .500 career win% as an 8 year HC, it’s not just a coincidence.

To add to that first comment, Todd certainly had no problem using “I” though when pressed why he should stay HC… “I’ve won three straight division titles, so that says a lot as far as I’m concerned”. Can’t think of any other instance he’s used that “I” term. Strange it wasn’t “We”, right? Not really if you think about.
