To the people with little or no confidence, I don’t understand.

  2. Saskbucs Says:

@ModHairKen… they just don’t let go of the past.

There are numerous times in the past 3 years I would have voted that way but every year is a new year. Bowles relationships with the players is enough for me to give him the benefit of the doubt when he drops offseason quotes about learning or improving.

So far this year it seems he has improved, sought help, made another good OC hire. I would like to see some better pass D but as long as the Bucs stay winning, Im confident in the job he’s doing. I am fearing a big letdown game still, that can’t be pinned on Bowles, so far with the injuries this season just doesn’t feel real, everyone getting knocked back to earth at some point.

The haters gonna hate. I swear Bowles could win 3 Super Bowls and there would still be some who say “we’d have 5 with a better coach!”.

Much of the hate for Bowles has absolutely nothing to do with football. Fortunately many of the cockroaches who engage in it have gone into hiding. For now.

    Great job Todd Bowles

    6-1!!!!!

    GO BUCS

  6. GoneGator Says:

8.96 % little or no confidence

    Hmmm 🤔

Todd, keep the boys focused and grounded….Let’s go Bucs 👍🏼

  7. El hefe Says:

    Confident

  8. Bosch Says:

Bowles has improved as a head coach. But he remains a liability as def coordinator. That said, the 49ers game was the best defensive performance thus far. The got better as the game went on because they absolutely pummeled Mac Jones.

  9. Boge Says:

Why? Because he’s supposed to be a defensive guru and his defense is terrible.

I don’t understand how you can say totally confident after watching Baker win games with 0’s on the clock.

It’s clearly a talented team given how many players are saying the current version has more talent than the last SB team.

  10. Obvious One Says:

After the coaching job he executed against the 49ers…. “Flowers”

    An upgrade as promised. “Confident”.

Keep it up coach Bowles and Please, DON’T BE A FLASH IN THE PAN! Or Else it’s back to the (Non Confident) dungeon..

  11. SlyPirate Says:

    >5-1
    >Best record in the NFL
    >Best start in team history
    >#1 Power Ranking
    >MVP

This team is 1-5 without his amazing coaching job. This isn’t Bowles of the last few years. You may not know this but he spent the offseason leveling up to be a better coach. He’s killing it.

    COTY

  12. JReel Buc Says:

    Fire Bowles!

  13. Rod Munch Says:

I’m not down on Bowles, but I’d very a lot more confident if his gameplans didn’t include sitting back in soft zone for 3 quarters in order to ‘surprise’ opposing QBs in the 4th quarter when suddenly the Bucs decide to show up and play defense. You know if you didn’t sit back in the soft zone for three quarters, or like in Seattle for 59 minutes, then perhaps the games wouldn’t be close in the 4th quarter.

  14. Buc1987 Says:

    Confident.

  15. Oxycondomns Says:

bowles is blessed having baker and the coordinators that baker brings to the bucs . reminds me of gruden having kiffen and dungy having manning. bowles doesnt have to touch the offense. how far this team will go will depend on how good of a job he does with the defense and special teams. hes guided the bucs to a great start but its still a bit of an unknown till he pulls it off in the playoffs vs the mcvays, shannahans, and sirianis

  16. Steven007 Says:

Why was aqualung allowed to vote 10 times?

  17. heyjude Says:

    Confident.

  18. D-Rok Says:

My confidence in Bowles has slowly been rising this year. If he notches another few wins against quality opponents (get a win against Detroit) it will rise to very confident.

He’s changed a LOT this year and I’m here for the positive changes! It seems like the collective team, as a whole, has rallied around him and his vision of the identity of this team.

    Go Bucs ! ! !

  19. Tye Says:

Much like the Offense, get a quality DC and many of us will have confidence in that guy…. Really couldn’t care LESS who the HC is as long as the 2 coordinators are calling great games… Bowles is just hurting the Bucs with his scheme so easily passed on for BIG plays, few forced 3 and outs, allowing so many points!

  20. Geno711 Says:

I rate the Bucs defense as average this year.

Off the top of my head, I will compare them to other NFL teams with some of these metrics.

    1. Points scored against.
    2. Turnovers created.
    3. 4th quarter points allowed compared to league average.
    4. 3rd and 4th down conversion rate or lack of conversion rate.
    5. Yards per rush play.
    6. Yards per pass play drop backs.

Now yards per pass play drop backs is my 6th highest off the top of my head — but to me that clearly is more important than the total passing yardage against that so many folks on this site like to quote.
