Will Kareem Huggins Get A Shot?

Joe knows many Bucs fans think Kareem Huggins could be a sleeper, that lightning quick change-of-pace back that could add an exciting dimension to the Bucs offense.
Of course, it’s all just speculation, since Huggins only has a handful of impressive preseason NFL carries on his resume and was Division 1-AA standout in 2007.
On Saturday, Huggins looked sharp, unlike Clifton Smith who put the ball on the ground. Joe expects Huggins to carry the load for the Bucs in the second half of every preseason game. Maybe he’ll show enough to stay off the practice squad?

Repeat after me -Kareem Huggins! Lol. Nah, it’s gonna be Caddy and Ward running, Graham catching short passes, and Pressley and Taylor knocking people around. It would be fun ta see Huggins scampering around though!

I think we have a pretty nice stable of backs. Maybe not great (yet), but better looking than alot of other teams. Hope Huggins gets plenty of reps.

I really don’t expect Huggins to have much of a chance to get on the field this year. But who Knows, wierder things have indeed happend.

Huggins and Graham should be in our backfield as much as possible!

Remember Graham used to be called Mr. August. Who knows what the kid might do with an opportunity.
If Ward doesn’t exhibit more drive and desire I say give his carries to those guys.

There’s always an injury possibility with Cadilac’s knees.Might be a good idea to keep Huggins around.Speed is a component missing from our run game.

At some point they’ll have to take a look at him in some real game situations because our stable of backs are all either getting long in the tooth or have a laundry list of injuries in their past. If not I guess they’ll be looking hard for a back in this next years draft.

I like Huggins better than Clifton Smith as a RB . All Smith does is fumble.
I think they should cut Peanut , because Sammy Stroughter is a better return man than him anyways …so , really , what other purpose does he serve on this roster?

Hmmm, after futher review and consultation, I may be wrong about this one! Sounds like Huggins is raising quite a few eyebrows around One Buc Place! Would be another nice, and unexpected, surprise!

i dont get it. he is a big play back.. he is an OBVIOUS choice to me. I am not a bucs fan.. but as a football fan looking at this situation.. the only battle going on here is “names”
not talent!
hes a big play potential. if you get him on a good screen. its OVER. he should be a HUGE part of this offense.. and instead the debate is if he should even make the team.
let that man run with the first team.
