    I love the pick

  2. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I like it very much. I like the next one too

  3. Steven007 Says:

I voted yes. I think baldy’s profile has swung some people, haha.

  4. Capt ahab Says:

Terrible pick with Lee Hunter, CJ Allen, Jake Golday on the board

  5. Capt ahab Says:

    KJ Britt clone

  6. TampaBayBucFan Says:

The player is OK but selected too early

  7. DiamondAces Says:

I’m happy we finally got an ILB, but I do worry time will show we should’ve taken Jake Golday in that spot instead.

  8. Tye Says:

I would have voted – Meh! – but not available…

  9. Steven007 Says:

Captain, magic 8 Ball says try again.

  10. Capt ahab Says:

CJ Allen, Jake Golday, and Lee Hunter available and we take a down hill linebacker that has zero coverage skills.

  12. Capt ahab Says:

    Trotter was a huge reach

  13. Fred McNeil Says:

I personally wanted Rodriguez, but when he was taken I thought we would take CJ Allen. I had read about Trotter, but I imagined him below Allen based on the breeze. I dare to say the Joes seemed to favor Allen over Trotter too. Just my impression. If I didn’t love the Joes and their opinions i wouldn’t be here. Love for DR and his friends too. Here I am. But don’t ask me. Buc times are nuttier than squirrel turds these days. We shall see.

Just reminding us all that a no brainer doesn’t happen every round and this one took exactly no brain. Jason Lite way to go.

  15. LFGBucs Says:

If Licht if taught us anything it’s that any Round two pick of his is likely going to be a a waste. I hope that I am wrong.

  16. Simeon4HOF Says:

    D

  17. 3.28.Evans Says:

    Should have drafted a kicker

  18. Usfbucs Says:

I don’t understand the Trotter pick. We needed a LB but Hill seems like a better pick. We wanted to get big and one of our obvious areas we lacked was coverage in the middle of the field. From the experts Hill is both bigger and better in pass coverage while still a good run defender and blitzer. Hill also put up better stats that Trotter.

  19. Simeon4HOF Says:

JL ain’t done nothing in this draft. Bain fell to him it surprised him so much he didnt know what to say

  20. Rod Munch Says:

I think Trotter will be a good MLB in the NFL, but I just don’t see how he fits this scheme. But I do like the player. If Bowles is out after next year, and they switch to a 4-3, I think he’ll be a much better fit (or even a more traditional 3-4 where ILB have less coverage duties).

  21. Bucfan1988 Says:

Love the position addressed for ILB, but is Trotter the right one…
I question choosing him over Cj Allen, and Anthony Hill Jr…

    Guess we will see…
    Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

  22. WillJ Says:

I think there’s an issue with Bowels picking too many former player’s kids. The only one that has worked was Winfield and that was early on. He hasn’t been anything special since he got paid. Trotter was a reach and he has an injury history. I hope I’m wrong.

  23. WillJ Says:

    Test

  24. WillJ Says:

Sorry didn’t see my initial post. Then just typed test to see if it would go through

  25. Lakeland Says:

Josiah Trotter was projected as 2-3 round, mid 2nd round isn’t much of a reach

  26. MadMax Says:

Nice! And really nice to wake up to this….i missed the whole thing (3rd shifter)….i tried to stay awake but just couldnt. You usually dont go wrong with a great bloodline which he represents.

Correct, those who think he was overdrafted are wrong – I saw him going around the middle of the 2nd in a lot of drafts, early 3rd at the very latest. But mostly I’d say middle to late 2nd round.

The value is fine, it’s really only a question about the fit. I just don’t trust the Bucs to know what they want in a LB since they constantly want to fire whoever they put in that spot because they can’t cover, and then they draft a guy who can’t cover (or at least hasn’t shown that yet).
