“That’s Not A Blip, That’s A Trend”

October 26th, 2022

Sad about Bucs.

Sobering words difficult to argue with are coming from the mouth of popular national radio and TV sports personality Adam Schein.

The Bucs scoring 21, 18 and 3 points against losing teams in the last three consecutive games, with the opponents getting worse by the week is no accident, Schein says.

“That’s not a blip, that’s a trend,” Schein said.

Loaded though they may be, the Bucs are now one of the worst teams in the NFL, Schein said on his weekday CBS Sports Network show, “Time to Schein.” It’s getting ugly in Tampa Bay, Schein noted.

“Tom Brady and the Buccaneers are just a terrible football team right now. Tom Brady looks defeated,” Schein said.

It’s hard for Joe to disagree, despite it making Joe sick. How in the world can you have an offense with a healthy Tom Brady, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Playoff Lenny and only be able to score two touchdowns in the past 10 quarters against horrible teams?

Spin all day long with your non-answer, misleading answers, failing Bucs offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, but the simple fact is you were handed a state-of-the-art Ford Mustang (purchased from Bill Currie Ford) that only needed its alignment adjusted.

Now you have turned that rig into an AMC Pacer with a dying alternator.

Does anyone on the Bucs have any self respect? Are they going to let this continue?

The avocado tequila is tainted with Bowls and Leftwich’s weaksauce.

I`m sure Tom is as frustrated with BL as we are but will never admit it.

Brady got the woke poke ,he’s got reptillian nano tech running through his vanes now…Sad but true.

  8. Dooley Says:

The Bad News Bucs. Brady would be Kelly Leak minus the cigarettes and harley

  9. LOL Says:

Does Devin White have any trade value right now? Would be great if we could package him and picks for an all pro pass rusher or beast of an O-lineman…………….

  10. Caleb Says:

People who actually watch the film know Brady is not the problem here. But I doubt that Schein does. Just another national big mouth.

  11. SB~LV Says:

Playing like sheet has been a trend ALL YEAR
Katie bar the door if they lose Thursday night.

  12. Craig Says:

It is not just a trend, it is a downward trend.

They are horrid and I don’t see a way to turn it around, short of firing Leftie.

He still believes in everything that has gotten him this low; Fornette on first down is glaring, but not the only RB problem.

Brady needs to suck it up and motivate the team. The defense would play better if Brady ran the team downfield for a score on openers.

  13. douglas dallier Says:

Buc coaches and players just got put in a reality check. They are ready to put on their big boy pants and kick some ass.Bucs will win this week 24 to 17.

  14. Cobraboy Says:

The play has been poor all season.

Why would we expect a sudden 180?

The Bucs, right now, may be the worst team in the NFL.

Another curb-stomping by the Crows will drive a stake into the season.

    Which I fully expect.

Jackson may run for 150 yds. himself.

  15. Cobraboy Says:

Has there ever been a bigger “Must Win” game for the Bucs in their history?

  16. BucTooth Says:

  17. D Says:

Another knock on Leftwich and this stagnant offense that I’ve noticed is lack of awareness in situational football. Which I always thought was the antithesis during the Brady/Belicheck era. 3rd or 4th down and short and they go for the low percentage deep ball trying to outsmart the coverage. 3rd and medium to long, what do they do? They throw a screen(which is not their strength) or a dump off pass to the RB who gets tackled 2 yards short of the marker. I know other teams do it and have success but those other teams don’t seem to attempt it near as often as the Bucs, nor do they fail at it as often. Time to make some adjustments, Leftwich, if you want a glimmer of hope of saving your job and this season.

  18. CrackWise Says:

The “TREND” that is not mentioned is that we played DESPERATE teams 3 weeks in a row.

No shame in tipping your cap to the other teams WHO GET PAID as well.

I will be SHOCKED if the Bucs don’t play DESPERATE themselves Thursday.

Sure, you can make the EXCUSE of Bad Coaching or Bad Effort but in reality. The other teams get the credit for winning because they WON.

In most situations, there is no shame in losing to a DESPERATE team. You just have to take your lumps and move on. AND PLAY WITH DESPERATION yourselves.

35-28 Bucs over Ravens. BET ON IT!!!

  19. Francisco Guzman Says:

Coaching matters in this league. Discipline. Bucs have none of that. Season is lost if they keep these clowns on the sideline.

  20. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Trading Devin White makes little sense……in particular now that we’ve lost KJ Britt….

  21. Bucfan Says:

Appears most Buc players do not respond very well to ‘low key’ coaching. At least BA could light a fire on both sides of the ball!

  22. macajubav Says:

Great review by Schein, no BS , Bowles sucks and Brady sucks (of course we all know BL sucks to). What would changing coaches now do, except perhaps letting Clyde take over , keep the offense the same but let Clyde and Tom game plan and call plays.
Perhaps Alex Guerrero can take over ????

  23. Winny Testaverde Says:

The Scheiner…a former junior varsity 98 lb. wrestler who quit after going 0/5…then joined cross country only to declare “asthmatic”…may be right here. The Revenge of the Nerds playing out in real time.

  24. Defense Rules Says:

TBBF … I was thinking the same thing about that suggestion to trade Devin White. Folks need to at least look behind Door #2 before they offer suggestions that’d make things dramatically worse.

Craig … ‘They are horrid and I don’t see a way to turn it around, short of firing Leftie.’ Same issue Craig; what’s behind Door #2? Personally I think Harold Goodwin could do as good a job, but I doubt that’d actually turn it around? Bucs desperately need to fix our OLine & Dline AND get healthier before we’ll see any major improvement.

  25. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Listen…..I am certainly down on Leftwich and blame him for most of the problem…..but, let’s be intellectually honest here……

A team that is 4-43 on 3rd and medium/long has a QB problem…..there is no way the playcalling on 39 plays caused the failure to convert.

I love TB and what he has done for this team…..but he doesn’t get a pass on this.

  26. HC Grover Says:

The coaches do not know what to do. It then rubs off on the whole team not knowing what to do when the ball is snapped.

  27. robert Says:

tbbf has always been stupid. when thos 43 plays are started with a zero run on 1st, small gain on second (does BL know a pass besides the screen to Godwin?) and third and long…and another $hitty play is called….what do you expect?

The old Pats, Chiefs, Packers etc….would all $suck under this coaching. hard to get a completion or runs for a gain when the other teams knows all 7 of BL’s plays!!

  28. Buc1987 Says:

CrackWise …I don’t think the Bucs are going to win another game this season.

    3-14.

  29. Defense Rules Says:

Cobraboy … ‘The play has been poor all season.’

No question about that. And yes Bucs could be the worst team in the NFL right now (Houston seems intent on giving us a run for that dishonor though).

Coaching certainly isn’t helping, and neither are injuries (watching McCollum & Delaney fill in last Sunday was truly painful). Biggest issue that I think I’m seeing though is that no one has stepped forward to fill leadership roles. On defense, Vea’s not a leader, and neither is LVD or Shaq. White talks a lot, but that’s it.

On offense, our OLine looks lost without Jensen to lead them. Brady’s just playing out his last year right now. He’s not doing terrible, but it looks like he’s just going through the motions right now (and his lack of mobility is making those ‘motions’ look mighty limited). Good chance this OLine has tuned him out to a degree at this point; the savior has unfortunately lost a lot of his sparkle so to speak.

BA didn’t do Bowles any favor handing off this mess to him. Of course Bowles didn’t do himself any favors by trying to hold the DC reins AND be a HC. He’ll figure that out soon enough.

  30. Faspro Says:

Brady does not suck…the coaching does.

  31. BucRodgersBDBDBD Says:

This team has mental issues right now from the lack of leadership. A boy named Sue could have helped. No Jensen JPP or Gronk. These are all leaders in some for. Whether it’s on or off field we lost our great leaders This includes BA. Brady is trying to lead but missing all the time he may have also lost some of the team. Football teams struggle like this when there is no leadership and PLAYERS REALIZE THE TEAM THEY ARE ON SUCKS. The tunnel is dark in all directions for this team. Go Buc lets get that number one pick.

  32. Adrnagy Says:

I said it acouple time. Brady is playing safe. He doesn’t want to get hit. Wont step up and Take the hit. Pocket passer must do that. All those miss throws down, up , behind say everything. Hold on 1 sec more set up and throw. Too fast in release.
    Having goedeke affects the run.

What we are seeing is the Tom Brady offense. Thats why GM, HEad coaches and owners should allow a super star make the calls. Look at lebron james and the lakers. That’s the team / roster James build.
Same with Brady / rodgers. Imo Bruce and brady had some disconnect bcuz Bruce wanted the offense his way.

  33. Adrnagy Says:

    *should not allow

  34. Redeemer Says:

The offense has struggled all season. Even when they were 2-0, they scored 19 and 20 points respectively. After 7 weeks, you kind of are what are. On a positive note, the Raven defense is about as screwed up as our offense. Show some pride.

  35. Pelsbuc61 Says:

Simple. No heart, no pride, no smarts, no motivation. Downright shameful. The entire team and coaches. GM light also shares a ton of blame for signing so many wasted vets. I don’t care if the division sucks. Bucs won’t make it to the playoffs. Glazers need to make a move and at least fire Leftwich immediately after the game tomorrow. Brady or no Brady, the fans have seen enough. Time to dump a lot of the loafers on this team.

  36. Adrnagy Says:

Geno smith is outperforming Brady and rodgers. Never would I thought I see that.

It starts with the QB. Most pay person/player/coach in the league. To drop 3 succop point all game. Vs pj and panthers. Interim coach. Lol.

  37. Dooley Says:

    @Redeemer

    Jinx

  38. Redeemer Says:

Dooley, lol. I already submitted my resignation after the Carolina game. I serve at the pleasure of the Joes.

  39. Alanbucsfan Says:

Where does this “loaded” with talent narrative come from?
Below average OLine, below average TE’s, average slot receiver (Gage), less than 100% Godwin, double teamed Evans and no where to run tippytoe Fournette.
Brady is still good, but immobile, which is not a good fit with a below average OLine.

  40. The Beer Whisperer Says:

Byron Leftwich needs to call plays, designed for poor blocking, and no time for Brady to function. Then the offense will be better.

  41. Redeemer Says:

Alan, the narrative was pushed by many on this site, including the Joes. Maybe they just aren’t that good. Before they even played a game, this was heralded as the best receiving corps in NFL history. The writing was on the wall after the Dallas game.

  42. I’m not tired anymore we just won the Super Bowl!! Says:

I’ll be at the game and if this stink continues the boos and fire bowels will be in full force. With this kind of talent no reason they should be performing this bad. You are a coach for a reason so fix it! Go Bucs!

  43. JimmyfromNY Says:

I don’t know what some of you guys are watching every week. Lol blaming Brady, that is absolutely ludicrous. Does he miss some throws a game he absolutely does, every quarterback in football does. But he’s the same guy that threw two game changing passes that were dropped by your receivers last week everyone tells me Mike Evans is a Hall of Famer, well that Hall of Fame quit last week after that embarrassing drop. How about the one by Russell gage the week before. Those two guys make those plays and the Bucs are sitting at five and two right now we’re not having this conversation. How about the pathetic running game, on pace to be one of the worst of all time, or the O line that is hottie , the secondary WR that can’t break a tackle or drop easy throws. Again on a list of 20 problems Brady is number 21.

  44. Redeemer Says:

I’m not tired, give em hell !!!!!
