“Tough Meeting” Worked

October 25th, 2026

Bucs OC Zac Robinson.

Look, Joe is happy as can be that the Bucs won. The Bucs are alive! They are still in the playoff hunt by pounding the Stinking Panthers.

It’s still an uphill climb, no doubt. A loss today, and it would have been time for players to reserve the U-Hauls and for the WAGs to start booking their mid-January flights to Barbados.

Last week, Bucs offensive coordinator Zac Robinson admitted in his weekly press conference that he had a “tough meeting” with his offense, basically telling them they had to take their craft seriously and start worrying about the little things.

Baker Mayfield said it was needed.

It sure sounded like Robinson chewed some asses. Big time.

As the great Silvio Dante might say, “Words were spoken.”

To which Joe will add, “About damn time!” By the looks of things today, as the Bucs came out and blew out Carolina in the first half, Joe can only wonder what took Robinson so long to act. Was he waiting for Christmas? Was he waiting on a 1-10 record? Was he waiting to get fired?

Whatever Robinson said, it was way, way, way overdue. And needed.

And, by the looks of things today, very effective.

Said what Todd Bowels couldn’t say or get across

Start of the “Save Todd Bowles” campaign??

  3. The Big Sombrero Says:

About 1 game behind first place…

  4. MadMax Says:

Too little too late….unless you boys are ready to set a record??? Are you?!?!? You really think you’re ready for that?!?!

I say go for it!! LETS GO!!!

If the offense can keep rolling it will be hard to stop them when the defense plays the way it’s bin this season. Defense didn’t just look good they looked great. Huge diff when your defense isn’t on the field the whole time and the offense can put points on the board and sustain drives

    All facets were humming today!

  7. Scott McKirahan Says:

Still absolutely no passing game. That’s the real worry.

  8. SkunkApe Says:

Imagine, if you will, Todd Bowles returning as head coach next year… because that is exactly what will happen if we win the division, even if it’s a cesspool division.

None of us want that. We’re not going anywhere this year, but if we win the division we can count on the same frustrations again next year.

When you can easily run, there’s no reason to pass

64 yards passing, so no, not really.

I can almost hear it now: “What are your post-NFL career plans? How much will they pay? Would you like to get started on that next chapter +really+ soon?”

  12. Scott McKirahan Says:

So tired hearing about this being the worst division. Two divisions had worse collective records than the NFC South last year and two this season have worse collective records.

How’s this for a fun fact? The NFC South has, BY FAR, scored more points than any other division in football this season.

  13. 1bucforu Says:

If the run game would have stopped working you would have more passing yards. But if you cant stop the run keep running !!

  14. Gipper Says:

How about the idiot Scott Mck above saying “still no passing game.” Hey genius why do you need to pass the ball when you are up 30 points? A sensible thing to do is to continue to dominate on the ground to run the clock. Once, again, is there ever an end to the stupidity on these pages? Joe needs to require IQ proof greater than 75 to allow comments here. Some of these people couldn’t be helped with remedial education. Hard to fix stupid.

  15. McBay Says:

This was not a Todd Bowles game. So many points are against his philosophy. The defense can get tired. Next week there will be more punts and better field position management.

So, we are paying $300 plus for tickets and these guys are making millions…
…and they were not taking their craft seriously? Isn’t that the real story?

I never understood all these midseason meetings.
Playres meetings, Coaches and team meetings etc etc.
We are talikng about proffessional coaches and players that are in the NFL for years and you are telling me they need a meeting after 2 months of football to talk and realise that they need to take their craft seriously.
Is this a joke? Now at late October they realised they need to be serious and work hard.
Unbelievable. That shows me that this coaching staff and these players dont have the desire and the drive to win. They only like to talk.
