You guys are having audio issues on Lee’s microphone. I know this because on a show he walked out on it went away. If you can’t hear it on your device, put in ear buds and it’s consistent. Don’t get upset just a fan trying to help! Go Bucs.

Great conversation!
I wish we could go back to the Washington game too.
Really liking Nate from McVay’s group as the new OC.
Yes, extend Mike Evans before the season begins. Lock him in for another season or two. He is the heart and soul. Along with Godwin coming back we will have the experienced duo helping with all the rookies.

Sunny day today and me and the old hound just finished listening to our favorite podcast. And we got 4 for the price of 3 today. Who knew a car dealer could be such a fan. But Ira is right that 28 teams would have taken 3 points to tie late against Washington. Maybe 29 or 30. And Lee, we both can dream Lincoln Riley may show up here to run this offense, but I wish we would get the hire made. Doesn’t matter to me if it’s the McVay tree or in house I don’t believe this offense will slow down a bit. It’s the Johnny and Joes and we need a few more on defense. Maybe a playmaker who can knock a ball loose after we tie a game up late in the game?

Can’t disagree. And as always, thanks for listening. Ira appreciates it too!

Awesome podcast as always and it’s great to hear prospect talk! Definitely liking the options at 19 with a corner or ILB. Porter from Iowa St looks destined to have a great career and could be there for us at 19. I am a little skeptical on Greene and Pearce. I’ve seen Pearce enough being in Knoxville to know he faded away to is past year on a legit defense. The man has elite athleticism but im intrigued to see where his head is at in the interviews as Tennessee kept him away from the majority of press conferences and player interviews in 2024. As Mr. Sullivan stated Greene is hit and miss in the run game.

Love the Pod. Agree about the weird audio issues; usually though, it’s either Lee’s channel being gained up too much (causing distortion) or The Sage’s mix (his high frequency registers are ridiculously grating if he gets about 10% more animated than normal).
As a former sound guy, I know the challenge to be an engineer while also directing the production of the show and weighing in enough that you aren’t just the ad guy. My hope is that “Joe” (I’d say “Steve,” but I was censored once for naming a Joe in the comments, in spite of the declaration of names at the start of every podcast, so whatever/eye-roll) re-listens to every pod and keeps striving to improve. I don’t expect Journalists to be amazing sound engineers out of the gate, the way Sean Sullivan somehow manages a family-owned car dealership as a side gig to being a JoeBucsFan.com Draft Guru!
Appreciate your level of caring. Wow! In this scenario, one guy was putting a hot handheld mic down on other surfaces, including one with a level of vibration. Other guy has a habit of adjusting a headset far to often, and the visitor had a couple of other bad habits. The wild register swings are always a challenge, and using all four inputs on this Zoom H6 tends to lower output on one of the inputs. Yes, there’s a multitasking sound man. –Joe

Hey just a thought maybe y’all can utilize the BRONCO STUDIOS and have a show with much better sound quality. 🙂 I have been listening since the Ira Caddy ads, and I promise I have heard every Ira podcast. I used to be late for work to buy the Trib for 25 cents to get my Bucs news and read Iras collums

JBF, I always enjoy it when Sean is on, smart guy, knows his football.
That being said, I’m siding with Ira for most of the discussion, I was little disappointed in some of Sean and Steve’s critiques that we are still talking about from the Washington playoff game.
1. Regarding the Washington playoff game… saying we never forced a punt makes NO SENSE. Saying we didn’t force a 4th down makes more sense, vs not forcing a punt that was never going to happen. Think about it like this. If they went for it on 4th down 7 times, and we stopped them 5 times, WE STILL DIDN’T FORCE A PUNT. I don’t understand that statement. Quinn was NEVER going to punt, so how do you force a punt. Smh.
2. The 4th and 3rd call. So, context is important at this point in the game, Bucs don’t get the conversion on 4th down, game over right there. But at 4:41 left in the game, Bucs had all 3 time outs and 2 min warning. You’re not facing Patrick Mahomes, just watching the ATL game the week before, this kid still makes rookie mistakes, you have to play it straight. I think from Bowles perspective, the worst that would happen is they score 3, and we have enough time to counter. And yet, by at least tying the game, we had the other rare possibility for a turnover and/or a stop. What Bowles was banking on was being able to stop them on a 3rd down while in field goal range, make it or miss, it would allow us to get the ball back, with enough time to counter. Unfortunately, we could not get a 3rd down stop, and yes, contrary to the defensive struggles, we had several 3rd down stops. I don’t see Quinn going for it on 4th down if they were in field goal range.
3. Kansas City game, 1:49 left in the game, regular season, AFC opponent, not everything on the line, yeah take your chances and go for 2. Agreed. Different scenario. And given how it ended a lot easier to armchair it.

Agree 100% in SVD and on Dean.
SVD has the skills and ability but simply cannot be counted on to stay healthy. Especially in a SB or bust year.
Dean also has health issues but the bigger issue- as I’ve been saying for years, is that he’s a man coverage CB. Yet Bowles forces him to play zone, which is not his skillset.
Also agree completely on Bowles! Great guy and decent coach – but he still can’t manage a clock, and still doesn’t understand / coach up critical game moments and momentum. And he’s clearly not improving those issues.
