Well, apparently Mike Evans is great until the playoffs start this year. This is atrocious. I don’t know what’s happened to Evans but he all too often doesn’t go up and catch footballs. Sometimes he’s jogging when the ball is next to him. I don’t get it. He’s much better than this. Here’s hoping he remembers how to play football this game.

Playing for FG’s and playing good defense was prudent in the 80’s and 90’s when the rules were different and you intimidate players with hits to the head and basically assault receivers during their pass route. Bowles brand of football is archaic and unsustainable. If the Bucs extend his contract, hopefully he can change and excel as a well rounded football coach who understands that you need to have an aggressive, dynamic passing game and an opportunistic defensive in that order. He would have been a good coach in 1994.

Hallelujah, we’ve got some momentum now. Kancey’s sack was the BIG PLAY that lit the fire. Four more BIG PLAYS on that last drive … 2 nice runs to start it (11 yarder by White; the other 14 yarder by Mayfield), then those 2 long passes to Evans to get us to the 2-yard line (27 & 29 yds). Over 90 yds in less than a minute & a half. Otton’s TD put the cherry on the top. Awesome!
