Rob Gronkowski: It’s January So Beware Of Playoff Lenny

Big fan of Playoff Lenny.
They don’t call him “Playoff Lenny” for nothing.
Yesterday, former (?) Bucs tight end, foot-rubbing Rob Gronkowski hopped on “Up and Adams” hosted by Kay Adams seen on FanDuelTV and was talking Bucs.
Specifically, Gronk was talking Playoff Lenny.
Adams asked Gronk why Playoff Lenny turns into a “monster” when the regular season is over. Gronk didn’t exactly answer the question directly but he agreed with Adams that Playoff Lenny transforms into a superhero then the playoffs begin.
Gronk said that Playoff Lenny carried the Bucs offense the past two years in the playoffs. Joe knows that Playoff Lenny kicked serious tail in the NFC Championship at Green Bay, in the Super Bowl and last year in the second half comeback the Bucs had.
Then Gronk noted, it’s not just running by Playoff Lenny that hurts defenses. Gronk said defenses better be prepared for Playoff Lenny to damage them in the passing game.
Joe recently had stats that back up what Gronk said. Only Christian McCaffrey and Austin Eckler have more receiving yards out of the backfield than Playoff Lenny does. And Playoff Lenny is averaging 7.2 yards a catch. Pretty solid.

OK Goat, I’ll play along.
I read a story yesterday that has since been redacted. The story went: Coach Todd told Lefty to go scout the Cowboys. So, on his trip to Dallas, he overshot by a few states and ended up near Area 51. Supposedly, he was led onto an alien spaceship. When asked why he went along willingly and offered no resistance, his supposed reply was, “Well, they do what they do and I do what I do.”
Not sure if it’s true or not, but that’s what I read. Hopefully they injected him with some football knowledge.

Gronk is the missing piece to this offense. No one was more effective on third down and in the red zone.
We were fine without AB. But losing AB and Gronk – plus Marpet, Cappa and Jenson… That is a too much to continue the domination we grew accustomed to.

My guess is I’m on probation for steadfastedly rooting for the Bucs IAW the name of this site. I’m not apologetic. I think the posters have overwhelmingly pushed a negative slant on the coaching to the detriment of the players. And so I say, Go Bucs! Those that aren’t with that sentiment….do you. go Bucs!
