Rob Gronkowski: If Given Choice Of Bucs Or Raiders, Tom Brady Signs With Bucs

January 28th, 2023

Gronk talks Tom Brady and the Bucs.

So where will Tom Brady go?

Barber-needy Las Vegas owner Mark Davis practically has made it clear he wants Brady as his next Raiders quarterback. Joe still thinks it is hilarious Davis allegedly had Brady three years ago but Chucky didn’t want him. LOL

And Joe still is convinced if Brady sends out bat signals that he’s interested in the Dolphins, Miami will drop Tua quicker than you can say “Super Bowl,” especially given the latest news about Tua.

In the mind foot-rubbing Rob Gronkowski the former Bucs tight end, if given the options of either the Bucs or the Raiders, Gronk said it’s the Bucs for Brady.

If those are his only options.

If he doesn’t retire.

Something called “Champa Bay TV” on Facebook got a hold of a Gronk video. In it Gronk was asked just one question, or at least that’s the only published question and answer.

Gronk explained Brady is already familiar with the Tampa Bay area and really likes the organization and the front office folks. So Gronk’s money is on the Bucs.

Provided Brady doesn’t retire. Provided the only other option is the Raiders.

Now, get Brady back. Get him to sweet-talk Gronk back and the Bucs will be cooking with gas.

Wait a minute. Is that still legal?

Don’t start with your looney bin talking points.

  2. Goatfarmer Says:

C’mon back too, Gronky. One last true rise, and bring Cammy with you.

  3. Aaron Says:

    Jesus…are you seriously that uneducated?

  4. catcard202 Says:

Do they allow gas ovens in Florida trailers?

Look, mid-life crisis TB12 is washed. Ira knows this deep down…& “Tommy” will be 46 next season…46!!! Father Time undefeated!

If he wants to stay in Tampa, maybe he should be on Bowles OC interview list.
He older than half the interviewees so far…Older than many a NFL HC.

Just because the franchise has a warehouse of unsold TB12 gear is not a great reason to keep rolling a guy out there that 100% doesn’t want to be hit. That would rather lose & keep playing. (His own words!) if that doesn’t say he knows he no longer has the “it”… I don’t know what does.

  5. teacherman777 Says:

Jensen, first round guard, plus Gronk?

    Great.

Tom had no time to throw.

He went through a painful divorce. (It’s as hard as losing your kids).

He needs another year to redeem himself.

  6. Bucs Guy Says:

I know people are thinking Defense, but if TB12 returns we need to be thinking WR and TE with our first 2 picks, I`m going to throw out what may be an unpopular idea, but trade Devin White for draft picks.Just think if you could get two picks for him between day 1 and 2 or maybe another player and a pick.

  7. Johnw1c5 Says:

I am so glad he is gone. He is beyond annoying.

  8. mg Says:

TB-12 should flip the Glazers the bird.

  12. Georger Says:

Is Brady the best option for the Bucs this year, Yes. But we are only going to tread water. I don’t think we can win a Super Bowl with him/the way he played this year. This team needs to get younger.

  13. richbucsfan Says:

It’s retirement or the Bucs. Who was there for TB12 when his world collapsed? His teammates; his coaches.

It has been interesting how media has either knowingly or unknowingly presented TB12 as nothing but a money-hungry mercenary. That’s insulting.

Who was it that helped him gain those 15 pounds back? His teammates and coaches.

He will retire or be back with the Bucs.

  14. NEfan Says:

Gronk knows. So it’s Miami. That’s the perfect place for TB12 and Gronk to ride off into the sunset, one last hoorah. Hmm, swim suit model, beach parties. 1+1= Gronk & Camille.

  19. NEfan Says:

Let’s see, his last season he breaks 5 ribs, punctures a lung and is put back in the game and again out back into action too early. Then helps battle back in the Rams playoff game only to be kicked in the sack by Turd Blows. Bucs didn’t want to pay him and doubt he wanted to play for Blows. Gronk is about fun and enjoying the game, he didn’t at NE that’s why he left and I assumes stick in the mud Blows does not fit his personality, BA did.

Joe. Knows his site is where all the weak links are in the bucs fan base. This is the only site I’ve seen that most of the people on here wants a 46 year old washed up quarterback to come back another year lol 🤣🤣🤣. Joe also knows he has more fake Patriots fans on here than other sites. Lol 🤣🤣🤣 Brady ain’t coming back here give it up and if he do we ain’t winning nothing and the new OC will be the scapegoat just like the last one who actually called the plays when we won the super bowl . If any team sign Brady it’s only for money purposes not to win a championship.

  21. TampaBayBucsFanSince1976 Says:

Brady will be back , but will Jason Licht make sure he gets a quality Oline in front of him instead of the rubbish Licht threw out there last year??

  22. mark2001 Says:

SF for one year. And if Purdy continues to develop, let his take over the following year. I have a feeling Rodgers will be traded to LV.

  23. mark2001 Says:

TampaBayBucsFanSince1976 Why not? Take about 20 million of our salary cap space and sign a couple O line studs. What? We are in salary cap hell already? Oh well. Frankly, if we can keep the D pretty much intact, I think Licht will have done well, all things considered.

  24. NEfan Says:

Oneilsuckyall, that scapegoat that CAN’T get a job? It appears the NFL was watching. Hey clown, if not for Brady the team stores at One Buc Place would still be selling game shirts for $12.99 and Glazers would be offering buy one seat get 3 more for free and comes with free hotdog, fries and a large soda. Wait for it, by 2024 the biggest event at Ray Jay will be the national 8 to 11 year old cheerleader competition!!

  25. Joe Swanson Says:

What are we going to do sign Brady to a long term contract next years cap space will be minus 100 mil and Bowles will ensure another losing record.

  29. TampaBayBucsFanSince1976 Says:

When Brady returns , it is all about winning it all and the future be damned , so whatever it takes to put together a quality line in front of Brady and improve on the most IMPOTENT running game in the last 50 years…….

  30. NYbucsfan Says:

I am sorry, Joe Brady is not a championship-caliber QB anymore. He is afraid to get hit and will no longer stand in the pocket and deliver the ball. You keep mentioning how he is still better than Trask. Thanks for that tip caption obvious. The problem is that the problem is neither one of them are a Super Bowl caliber quarterback, and we sure as hell don’t have a Super Bowl caliber coach. I’m with the Sage. I’m ready for a 10-year fix. It is time to find the franchise guy that makes us relevant for the next 10 or 15 years. #Bowles Suck!!

  31. stpetebucfan Says:

AGAIN…Brady was the sixth least sacked starting QB in the league. 26 other teams had QB’s sacked far more often..in some cases like Burrows more than twice as often. Are we suggesting the Bengals offensive line sucks?

Brady has his famous quick release…THAT’S IT. He’s obviously shell shocked after two decades of his subconsious remembering what it feels like to get blasted by 275lb freakish athletes hoping to hurt him. His only mobility is now his happy feet. His quick release now hurls lots of balls at receivers feet, behind them, over their heads. The OL didn’t block for squat on the running game. They weren’t abysmal in pass blocking however.

I like Tom Brady. He can be arrogant and smug at times but overall I believe him to be a kind generous human being. Because I like him, I hope he hangs them up and preserves his noggin for his kids and hopefully grandkids! It only takes ONE hit and WTF does Brady have left to prove?

I love the Bucs but I’m not that freaking selfish. I hope Brady joins Gronk in retirement and they both have happy productive lives for the remainder of their time here on the planet.

  32. stpetebucfan Says:

    @NYBucsfan

Agree with your post until…”that makes us relevant for the next 10 or 15 years”

How old are you? LMAO Literally the odds are against me being here in 10-15 years. I live in the now…realizing with the wisdom that comes from age I should have ALWAYS lived in the now.

I’ve magically survived a war zone, an airplane crash and a head on motorcycle crash with a car. I shouldn’t even be here and in case you guys don’t know where I’m headed…get a clue…NONE of you are even guaranteed tomorrow.

I get planning for the future…I tend to look at five years due to my real estate investing training. But I also believe in risk reward.

The #1 pick in the entire draft is no sure thing. Can we say Fameis Jameis?

Close to 60% of the starting QB’s in the NFL were 1st round picks. Balance that against the fact that 40% of QB’s drafted in the first round are BUSTS!

And again look at the Bucs history. Two SB’s. And did the QB’s of those teams have something in common? Yep…They BOTH played for other teams before coming to the Bucs! They were NOT DRAFTED BY THE BUCS! Brad Johnson a 9th round pick…that’s a freaking FA in today’s world and Tom Brady a 6th round pick.

If we get to draft “Caleb” to walk across water on Tampa Bay I shall be severely disappointed! Because we will have to SUCK to even get the opportunity. And then we’ll have to hope we’re in the 60% not the 40%.

  33. TampaBayBucsFanSince1976 Says:

Donovan Smith gave up the most sacks in the NFL at LT-Donovan Smith committed the most penalties in the NFL at LT-LT is your most important Oline position-yes the Bucs Oline SUCKED and in EPIC FASHION.

  34. NEfan Says:

stp@ I will say it AGAIN, Joe Burrow has a running game, did you miss last weeks game? ALL the remaining teams can run the ball. What don’t you idiots get? He had to throw the ball almost 200 more times than that the other QB’s and had the same or very close completion percentage. What QB wants to get hit 800-850 times? Also NYbucsfan, have you EVER played in a NFL game at QB?
If not, how do you k ow what Brady is or isn’t thinking? There is also falling to protect yourself, Brady learned this from Manning.

This is all irrelevant because he won’t be back and when your team is 4-13 or 5-12 you can go back to praying you hit the lottery on a 1st round pick. FYI, your hero ME13 is starting to play like a 40 yr old man that doesn’t help and I like the player.

  35. stpetebucfan Says:

    NEFan

    We are in agreement!

  36. stpetebucfan Says:

    TBBF ’76

“yes the Bucs Oline SUCKED and in EPIC FASHION.”

Really? Why don’t the stats back up EPIC fashion. You mentioned Donavan who played hurt the entire season…Wirfs also had to play through injuries however

AGAIN…can you explain why 26 NFL QB’s were sacked more often, many more than twice as often as Brady? Yes his quick release…yadda yadda…I’ve seen Brady have time this past year. That stats do NOT back you up nor do our eyes and the yes of many NFL insiders/players who have observed the same thing.

  37. TampaBayBucsFanSince1976 Says:

Name the insiders please-bet you cant

  38. stpetebucfan Says:

Ronde Barber has gone as far as he can in that suggestion and just go back through JBF yourself and read the “experts” like Tim Brown and other players who believe Brady is over the hill.

Over the hill doesn’t mean he can’t play at all, it means he’ll never again experience the peak performances of his past. He got to do it several times this season and that’s about all that’s left. Maybe a couple more times but he no longer is a franchise QB.

  39. TampaBayBucsFanSince1976 Says:

Brady is still far better than any alternative the Bucs have and when the defense does not have to respect the running game even a little bit , their job gets much easier.

  40. NYbucsfan Says:

@stpetebucfan, 10 or 15 years is a reference to Ira’s podcast. @NEfan, I have never played quarterback in the NFL, but I know what it looks like when one doesn’t want to get hit. Did you watch the Bucs this season?

  41. NEfan Says:

NYbucsfan, yes I did. Can you name to Qb’s that want to get hit? FYI if Burrows keeps getting popped like he’s been over the last few years his career will shorten up pretty quickly. The Wr’s were #1 in dropped balls and bottom 3rd in separation. I guess your answer is hang in there eventually someone gets open or fling it and take the hit, who cares if it gets intercepted.
How many times has he had time yet no one was open. Releasing the ball prevents the sack and int. Look at Allen, he takes the hit, he is a turnover machine, same with Dak. Learn the game bud, it ain’t Madden, when players get hit unnecessarily, it still hurts.

  42. Buc You Says:

He will sign with the 49ers after they get beat by the Eagles tomorrow

  43. BelleGladeBuc Says:

    @NEfan

    Honest question.

The Bucs faced a ton of variations in Cover 3 this year, with 3 safeties and CB’s locked in man coverage and LB’s playing their zone with their heels at 7.

You played defense, the only way to attack that defense is to run them out of it or to attack them quick in the flats or the seams with your slot and TE depending on LB alignment.

But you must run them out of that defensive coverage.

Separation against that defense is near impossible on the numbers for your outside X or Z, that’s the reality, so sighting the accurate stat of worst WR separation is pointless. Mike Evans ran a ton of fly routes or posts on the outside numbers. He’s covered all the time in Man Cover 3. Slants work for the X and Z on the numbers against man cover 3, but how many slants for the X or Z did the Bucs call? TB12 would be stupid to throw it to him.

If you can’t run on them, then that means the quick shot up the seam to your TE is out, and now all that you are left is to attack the flat on an option route with your slot receiver.

Separation of a WR is dependent on coverage. Man Cover 3 or Zone Cover 3 by defensive design doesn’t allow for separation.

They should have used ME13 in the slot running Gronk’s seam route against that coverage, Godwin on the opposite side running the slot option route.

Unfortunately, Leftwich, Bowles and TB12 never figured out Cover 3 and how to attack it with their personal. Sad thing is, that the answer to it was right n front of them and doesn’t require needed all day for protection.

Send out a Scotty Miller as an X or a Z and have him be the rabbit running the post or fly from the numbers and pair him with either ME13 running the seam up the hash or Godwin running the option route from the slot.

Coaching and schemes are what cause separation vs defensive schemes more so than players. Unless you’re Randy Moss or Megatron, then it doesn’t matter.

We know that you love TB12, but knocking our area with comments like the biggest event that will happen at Ray Jay shows how uniformed about Tampa and Florida you are.

People are fleeing the New England area to Florida because of how horrible it is to live in the New England area.

Second, Taylor Swift, one of the biggest stars in all of the entertainment industry crashed Ticketmaster with her 3 concert dates at Ray Jay.

For some reason mega stars like Taylor Swift don’t book a whole lot of concerts at Foxborro Stadium in New England.

When Citi Bank signs you to a 9 figure contract like
Taylor Swift you can talk trash against Tampa and Swift all you want.

Tampa is much better place than NE to live. All the New Englanders fleeing that tax and politicaly created mess agree with me.

Tampa football starting at the Pop Warner is infinitely better than NE.

    Go Tampa, Go Bucs!!!
