Outcoached

January 16th, 2023

Todd Bowles

Joe is stunned Todd Bowles’ defense got its ass handed to it tonight.

That’s the strength of the team and the strength of the head coach.

Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott went 25-for-33 for 305 yards and 4 touchdowns. There were more coverage breakdowns in the Bucs defense than Joe can remember seeing in one game, capped by the late touchdown throw to CeeDee Lamb. The closest Buccaneer appeared to be on Clearwater Beach.

The Bucs run defense needed to be special for Tampa Bay to win. It wasn’t.

Broken tackles were a common sight.

Joe was fired up with Tampa Bay opening strong forcing back-to-back 3-and-outs, but Dallas scored touchdowns on its next four possessions. Game over.

Dallas tight end Dalton Schultz had his best game of the season, and Bucs inside linebackers are supposed to be good at covering tight ends.

Joe keeps coming back to Bowles’ defense getting outcoached by the Dallas braintrust of Mike McCarthy (winner of 11 playoff games) and Kellen Moore.

It’s rare for a Bowles to be outfoxed and outplayed. And it happened at the absolute worst time tonight.

    All. Season. Long.

  2. LVMYBUCS Says:

I’m telling u they don’t want to play for Bowles anymore.

  3. Tyler904 Says:

It’s not rare at all. It has happened almost every single game since we lost to the rams in the playoffs.

  4. Jack Clark Says:

    Tampa Bay Buccaneers Head Coaches:

    Offensive Minded:
    Jon Gruden (SUPER BOWL!!!!!)
    Bruce Arians (SUPER BOWL!!!!!!!)
    Dirk Koetter (Top 5 Offense)

    Defensive Minded:
    Todd Bowels (Losing record)
    Lovie Smith (Losing record)
    Raheem Morris (Losing record)
    Greg Schiano (Losing record)
    Tony Dungy (No Super Bowls)

Do we see the obvious pattern here? 🤔

  5. Bucsbeast Says:

    BACK TO THE YUCS!
    BECAUSE BOWELS SUCKS!

  6. Bosch Says:

The defense shot their wad on the first two drives. They were gassed after that.

  7. Ben the GA Buc Says:

Need to make a change ASAP.

  8. Jack Sparrow Says:

Major incompetence !!! FIRE BOWLES !!! and bring Leftnut with him … embarassing

  9. Stormy Says:

Bowles was hired to check a box. Not because he’s a good coach.

  10. Shipwrecked Says:

    Garbage

  11. Bucsthis Says:

  12. Craig Wrolstad Fix Says:

#1. Officiating shaped this season. Bucs had to overcome huge momentum shifting ref jobs all year. It gets lost in the shuffle because the calls usually come early, shape the game and get forgotten.

#2. Bowles and Leftwich were atrocious. Absolutely atrocious. Too many times and moments but not going for it on 4th & 2, down 13-0 from the 50 said it all. Leftwich even ran the ball on the first play of the game, showing just how ignorant and selfish he is.

#3. Brady didn’t want to be in Tampa this year. He signed the 3rd year contract extension when it still looked like they had a chance to 3-peat and they needed contract space to bring in some hired guns to make #2 possible. There was a wink and nodded that if #2 didn’t happen, Glazers would allow him to pursue elsewhere. They didn’t keep their word. He was stuck with a subpar roster and then Arians’ ego gave him another eff you by sticking him with Bowles and Leftwich. This year was pure pain on top of personal struggles.

#4. Evans is a Bucs Legend. AND he is overrated. Too many drops and misses in key moments.

#5. Brady didn’t play well this year for all of the reasons noted above and maybe because of age. We’ll find out if the latter is true next year when he plays for either the Saints, Panthers, Titans, Dolphins or Raiders. My guess is the Raiders just because they might be the only team that take him. Unless Payton risks his legacy to coach the Panthers and Brady will follow.

  13. ReksTo Says:

PLEASE! I employ the Glazers to please fire this man. Please clean house! Licht is ok tho!

  14. Chris Says:

Team glazer needs to pull the plug get Sean Payton in here

  15. Shipwrecked Says:

    Rebuild

  16. Jack Sparrow Says:

Bucs looks like the Jets when Bowls was coaching them.

  17. Miller5252 Says:

They played the way they’ve played all year. Especially when they actually played a good team, they got destroyed. This years coaching experiment needs to be over tomorrow. If Arians ain’t coming back to be the head coach, they all need to go first thing. Change the locks and mail them their sh&$. No need to pick it up.

  18. DBS Says:

    Have they been fired yet??

  19. bucs4life Says:

It’s really simple, Joe. Mike McCarthy, Kellen Moore and Dan Quinn are ACTUAL coaches. Not some guys carried over by nepotism.

Don’t forget what Goodell said a few weeks ago about firing 1st year head coaches. He was practically calling out the Glazers by name.

That’s stupid. Bucs have hired more black coaches than any NFL team even before Bowles was coach.

  22. Trask To The Future Says:

    JOE, WHAT???

BOWLES IS A *GENIUS* AND OUTSMARTED THE ENTIRE NFL BY KEEPING RYAN JENSEN’S MEANINGLESS PARTIAL ACL TEAR A SECRET!!!

  23. The Anomaly Says:

He is way over his head.

He doesn’t have the skill set to be head coach.

Licht, Arians and the Glazers were sold a LEMON

  24. Jack Sparrow Says:

Even a GOAT cannot overcome the idiocy of these coaches. What a shame !

  25. Dreambig Says:

Rare for Bowles to be outcoached and outplayed????? Joe, what in the world have you been watching all season?

  26. Frank Pillow Says:

Todd has to go. This was an abomination of coaching…but it was also reflective of what we’ve seen this entire season.

It’s really simple, Joe. Mike McCarthy, Kellen Moore and Dan Quinn are ACTUAL coaches. Not some guys carried over by nepotism.

I think you should look up what nepotism actually means.

  28. Bangkok Bucs Fan Says:

FIRE EVERY COACH, TRAINER, SCOUT, HOT DOG VENDOR

  29. CoryC Says:

They got embarrassed on both sides of the ball. A garbage TD won’t mask the drubbing they took tonight. Wow, just wow.

  30. SKBucsFan Says:

There are only 5 or 6 free agents worth signing. It’s doubtful Lavonte David will continue playing.

  31. AmauryGuzman Says:

This defense is overrated . They literally looked lost out there. They quit. Also evans was a complete no show in this game.

  32. DBS Says:

Old School Buc. How is that bandwagon?

  33. Rod Munch Says:

Oh well, they just would have lost by 45 next week in San Francisco.

  34. godlovesbucs Says:

I was on the fence with keeping bowles. This sealed it. Fire bowles and fire leftwich. That was one of the poorest coaching games I’ve seen in a while. Brady was bad too that’s for sure.

  35. LVMYBUCS Says:

I BLAME ARIES FOR RECOMMENDING THIS AS HAT FOR HEAD COACH!

  36. BucsFan81 Says:

The sad part is this will be a long rebuild. We have no cap space for years to come as so much of the money was pushed into the future on some of these contracts. Get ready to suck for a good while.

  37. Jack Sparrow Says:

They should have fured this idiot long time ago.

  38. AmauryGuzman Says:

Anyway the turning point for me was 4th and 3 and toilet bowles punting knowing the defense was trash all game.

  39. Tucker Says:

What a way to go looked like a team that didn’t deserve to be in the playoffs absolutely embarrassing.

  40. 661TampaFan Says:

    FIRE BOWLES.
    FIRE LEFTWICH.
    We want Sean Payton.

  41. Waterboy Says:

    Nothing new.

  42. Rod Munch Says:

So tell me if this sounds familiar. Early on, the Bucs are getting pressure and making plays blitzing — then on 3rd downs, they go to a soft zone and give up an easy 1st down. Over and over again. I turned it off early since I already knew the outcome. Just glad I didn’t pay $1200 for a couple of seats to watch that abortion.

Anywho, now that Brady is gone, the rebuild begins, and another two decades of losing. Thanks Todd, thanks Leftwich, you two idiots did a hell of a job.

  43. AmauryGuzman Says:

Brady was bad but where on earth was evans? Was he double teamed? Dude didn’t show up.

  44. Dale Grant Says:

That was AWFUL !! Bowles has to go , I would imagine a deal is in the works for Payton to come in with Brady and he stays

  45. Bosch Says:

Bowel movement is only slightly better as a DC Than he is as a HC. He is very poor in both roles. And BTW Joe. Enough of you defense of LT Smith. The dude lacks character. He needs to be cut loose in the coming rebuild. And I wouldn’t be surprised if this ended his career.

  46. Fire the Gannons! Says:

#1. Officiating shaped this season. Bucs had to overcome huge momentum shifting ref jobs all year. It gets lost in the shuffle because the calls usually come early, shape the game and get forgotten. Wrolstadt’s roughing the passer early on when game was scoreless, failure to call offensive and defensive holding in moments that mattered were just further evidence. NFL cannot have Brady create any more separation from the future of the NFL they needed tuned it. Only game I watched in 3 years with Tampa that got a fair whistle was Super Bowl 55. Carl Cheffers gave a middle finger to the NFL and thus wasn’t allowed back much to ref games. Shawn Hochuli, on the hand, officiated both Bucs-Rams game by design.

#2. Bowles and Leftwich were atrocious. Absolutely atrocious. Too many times and moments but not going for it on 4th & 2, down 13-0 from the 50 said it all. Leftwich even ran the ball on the first play of the game, showing just how ignorant and selfish he is.

    Eric Bieniemy for HC!!!!

  48. Tye Says:

Kellen Moore bested Bowles on national TV!…
the game has passed him by….
Bring in a OC as our new HC….

  49. J Dubb Says:

Where was Jamel Dean? He’s been the best, most consistent corner all year yet this game he only gets special teams duties. Davis is crazy overpaid, can’t catch a cold.

  50. ChrisBuc23 Says:

Complete trash coaching and game plan. Out coaches, defense and a Brady looked like horse maneuver. Yea we need to move on at Qb and get us a young talented one. It’s been all year long smh 💩💩🚽

  51. gp Says:

I think I might have counted 5 or 6 plays that the Dallas O-line didn’t hold.
Who pays these damn Refs anyways

  52. 1#bucsfan Says:

Defense hasn’t looked terrible this year but a few games which a offense consistently going 3 n out all game will kill your defense but tonight Bowles didn’t make any adjustments and the offense has bin terrible all year which is criminal. Fire bowels n leftwhich. Keep some of the position coaches. I hope I read a article tomorrow when I wake up that bowels n leftwhich are fired

  53. ElioT Says:

Are there even five players under contract for 2023 that are untouchable?

    Wirfs

    Vea

    ???

This team is about to begin a very long rebuild and there’s no way Todd Bowles can lead it.

It would be a crime to bring him back.

Screw the optics of what color a HC is, Todd ain’t the guy.

I’d be happy to see Jason Licht go too. He’s average at best.

  54. Usfbuc Says:

In part the defense was bad because our offense can’t move the ball and so they were tired. You can see they come out with more intensity at the start of the game and after halftime.

    Coaches have to go.

  55. ChrisBuc23 Says:

    Our**

  56. Wild Bill Says:

Prayers for the injured Buc player. Adios to a sheity game and sheity season. They did not belong in the playoffs. Don’t give a dam where Brady goes next season.

  57. HC Grover Says:

An SUV has been spotted speeding to the Tampa Airport with a football player in uniform!!!

  58. BigMacAttack Says:

Seriously, the entire coaching staff needs to be fired tonight, starting with Todd Bowles. This team has progressively gotten worse all season and there is no future moving forward unless major changes are made. Jason Licht should stay but that’s about it. Many old veterans need to clear out too.

  59. Redeemer Says:

When Mike McCarthy out coaches you, it’s a horrible sign. The defense had no answers. I almost puked when they completed that third and 8. Dallas has two weapons. A good reciever in CD, and a decent TE. They ate our lunches. Brady had nowhere to go all night long. Same story. I’m sad.

  60. BigMacAttack Says:

Clean house and start fresh. No future with Bowles

  61. William Walls Says:

I was done when Bowles decided to go for 2 after the touchdown, knowing that we’d have convert two more two-point conversions for that plan to work. When you’re still in the game (and we still were), take the easy points, idiot!

  62. Aceofaerospace Says:

Fire them all. Tomorrow! No, do it tonight.

  63. Rob Says:

“It’s rare for a Bowles to be outfoxed and outplayed. And it happened at the absolute worst time tonight.”

Here’s where you lost me. It’s completely normal for Bowels to be outfoxed and outplayed. In five seasons as a head coach, he’s only had a winning record once.

  64. August 1976 Buc Says:

If they trot out Todd Bowles for next season, you just crush any hopes of even being competitive.

Forget winning a game, they were not even competitive for so many games this year.

Lets see, Leeman Bennett, Ray Perkins, Lovie Smith………

    “Come on man”

  65. Kentucky Buc Says:

I told you Shultz was going to be dangerous. Bowles thought he was going to play another low scoring game. It hasn’t changed all year. It’s who he is.

  66. AmauryGuzman Says:

The bucs’s worse mistake was made in the offseason when they hired Bowles as a head coach and BL is not an OC. He rode BA’s cocktails.

  67. The Anomaly Says:

Trade Evans…guy doesn’t want to be here

  68. Rod Munch Says:

Bowles went into a shell this year. On all those easy 3rd downs he was giving up all night, it was mostly because he went to soft zones. I have no idea why you think soft zones would work when they haven’t worked all season, outside of one half of football vs the Ravens.

  69. GumboIsForWinner Says:

He has one move. A-gap blitz. That’s it. Blown coverages all over the place. No discipline. Bowles needs to go.

  70. AmauryGuzman Says:

The 49ers will make Dallas look average next year because they play defense.

  71. bucs4life Says:

Ben the GA Buc, no offense buddy, but if you actually look it up, it also means propping up friends, not only relatives.

  72. Bosch Says:

What Rob said. What say you Joe?

  73. Rod Munch Says:

Again, there’s no reason or need to fire Bowles or Leftwich. Brady is gone, there is no chance he’s back, and that means next year you’re Tanking with Trask(tm). You want a loser coach and an idiot OC in place because you want to lose and get the top pick in 2024. Next season is legit cap hell, so you might as well hold onto these two dopes running the team since the goal should be to lose, and these two morons give you the best chance at losing.

  74. Jack Sparrow Says:

This game was astrocious. Players came in and seems like they did not practice the whole week. There was no fire. FIRE BOWLES AND LEFTNUT ASAP!!!

  75. AmauryGuzman Says:

Rod Munch Bowles is overrated as an dc. When he doesn’t have a pass rush he looks clueless.

  76. AmauryGuzman Says:

The worse game of the weekend brought to you by toilet bowles.

  77. Bosch Says:

This just in. Bucs won the second half 14 – 13. RETAIN THE COACHING STAFF!!!!
    (Not)

  78. Tucker Says:

    Fire everyone that was embarrassing.

  79. Red86 Says:

Yeah let’s make linebackers, whom coverage skills aren’t the best, cover wide receivers. I been saying this for three year so far. Too stubborn to adapt.

  80. Rod Munch Says:

AmauryGuzman – The Bucs did get pressure when they blitzed, at least early on, but then on 3rd and 7 or 3rd and 8, after blitzing on 1st and 2nd down, he just has everyone drop back 10 yards and give up an easy 1st down. It’s just stupid, cowarderly coaching. The end of the Rams game last year ruined this season, at least on defense. Bowles was flat out scared to blitz and it’s why the blitz percentage dropped tremendously.

  81. Goatfarmer Says:

Bowles is the genius…..in his own mind. Sadly in the most important games his players don’t know what they’re supposed to do. Blown coverages a plenty as I predicted. It means he doesn’t measure his players comprehension of their assignments and Toad holds none accountable, especially Diva White, a complete no show. Again.

Time to clean house in the coaching staff. Get busy tomorrow, Glazerettes. Too bad Malcolm weren’t still here .

  82. Another J Says:

He was losing the third string quarterbacks. Tonight he got lit up by Dak!
    Fire this fool.

  83. Bucswin Says:

Painful. Time to blow it up. Brady is done.

  84. AmauryGuzman Says:

Rod Munch it’s suicide. Dak did everything to his defense. Again bowles is not a head coach in this league. Coaching matters in this league. This team always looks lost to start games it’s embarrassing.

  85. Rod Munch Says:

    Red86 Says:

Yeah let’s make linebackers, whom coverage skills aren’t the best, cover wide receivers. I been saying this for three year so far. Too stubborn to adapt.

    ——–

Yep, it’s beyond stupid. White is one of the best interior pass rushers in the NFL, and makes a huge difference when he’s just rushing up the guy, either blowing up the other teams run game, or getting penetration on passing plays.

But instead of having him rush, rush and rush again, Bowles has him back playing in a soft zone where he’s a below average player.

Why not use your All-Pro pass rusher as, you know, a pass rusher. Bowles is just not a very smart guy.

  86. HC Grover Says:

When will we find out if they fire Bowzo and Lefty?

  87. Redeemer Says:

Rod is right. Keep the dopes in place. Let the tank begin. If Brady comes back, he’s completely crazy. Either take the 300 million from Fox, or go to a team you can put over the hump. Kinda like why he came here. I’m blasted and tired. Sleepy.

  88. ElioT Says:

I don’t think anyone wants to be here without Tom.

It was a good three year lease.

It was a good few seasons, but it’s over now.

This franchise is in bad shape.

They must blow this thing up and start the rebuild.

  89. AmauryGuzman Says:

49ers will make the cowboys their bitch next week. That team plays defense. Mentally tough.

  90. DBS Says:

When he Blitz Dan saw it . Give the man credit and his online. He still completed passes.

If the Bucs keep Bowles, I won’t be paying much attention next year.

But they better not trade for Sean Payton.

  93. DBS Says:

    Dak

  94. ClwJB Says:

If they don’t fire this idiot and his band of fools pretending to be an NFL staff, expect about 20k season ticket cancellations

    He has got to GO!!!!

  95. Wild Bill Says:

Truth: No team in our division deserved to be in the playoffs. Brady sucked all year except for a couple games and his passing was terrible most of the time. Given the players that left and the injuries early on and Brady’s obvious decline and the weak coaching staff it isn’t all that surprising they sucked all season.

  96. Nprbuc Says:

Bowels sucks as a head coach and is highly overrated as DC too! Did he ever tell his secondary that that playing zone includes coverage of anyone entering that zone? If so, they didn’t hear him. That’s why it’s called Zone Coverage. Damn near every pass, Db’s looking at each other pointing fingers! These guys have been playing together for a while now and I think there may have been 2 contested passes all night. Every reception was made by a receiver wide open it seemed. Didn’t see that from their secondary. Totally overwhelmed. Hon, BL and Armstrong need to go. Not a bad idea on OL coaches who can’t seem to coach up professionals on opening holes for RBs. What a disgusting way to end a pitiful year. We were had by BA and his selling this crap to Glazers. Dumpster fire.

  97. PassingThru Says:

As I mentioned in the game thread, the Bucs were out-coached by Mike McCarthy.

    Let that sink in.

  98. Goatfarmer Says:

A nuke is about to detonate under OBP. Bruce Arians thought he was doing his people and the organization a solid. Turns out that was the root cause of the ‘rrhea we haszn here.

Thanks BA for getting Tom and the SB. Enjoy your golf and keep quiet when Leftbowels are rapidly relieved of their duties.

  99. NEfan Says:

Usf@ the D was tired because they couldn’t get off the field back to back 80 & 90 yd drive and ready for.it? 27 first downs. That’s hard to do. Joe you are wrong this D is smoke & mirrors they keep shat arse teams under 20 but give up 30+ to every decent team. 27 first downs, Defensive genius.

  100. BucsFan81 Says:

So pewter report is reporting that Bowles is to be retained and Leftwhich is getting fired. Bowles will get to hand pick a new OC since he inherited this staff.

  101. tbbucs3 Says:

“Even a GOAT cannot overcome the idiocy of these coaches”

Brady throwing directly to a wide open Cowboys player in the redzone was the main turning point in this game….But #blameleftwhich

One of the worst plays of his career

  102. Bobby M. Says:

It’s rare? Literally every team with a back up or rookie QB starting out coached Bowles all season. He calls blitzes/schemes like he’s playing Madden. Blitz White middle , blitz White off the end, blitz Winfield, blitz White again….High statistical probability White….and only White was going to blitz.

  103. Rod Munch Says:

Brady had never lose to the Falcons, never lost the Cowboys, never had a losing season.

Bowles and Leftwich were able to change all those things in just a single season.

  104. fwfan Says:

8-10. As I stated earlier the voice of reason among the many fans that thought that Brady and Jensen would lead this team to a superbowl. It’s talent that wins out. Yes anyone on the NFC is beatable. But a sub 500 8-9 team is the most beatable of them all. None of you saw it coming. 31 fan bases saw this but not this one. Don’t be fooled by the score. It wasn’t even that close.

  105. Tucker Says:

Payton to Tampa is not even an option no one has to worry about that.

  106. tbbucs3 Says:

    NEFan

Your boy was pretty terrible tonight…..as hes been all season. Take the L Brady truthers….

  107. BomTrady Says:

Joe might be shocked by this but most of us are not.

We knew Todd Bowels was awful as a head coach before they handed him this job. Just ask the NY Jets fanbase, now, they know suck when they see it.

  108. PassingThru Says:

The front 7 played well at the beginning of the game, though the Buc defense is a one trick pony. They can only rush the passer; they do not do an adequate job on the edge in terms of sealing it off for outside runs, nor do the OLBs have the sense to process the game and drop into coverage when necessary. The pass coverage absolutely stinks, which is why Dak lit them up like the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree.

  109. LastDance Says:

Redeemer… NEfan, Jack Sparrow, any other TB12 fans.

Lets keep up wherever Brady moves on. Im sure you’re like me and very sad that this showing may have been his last. He didn’t deserve this coaching sh!tsh@w and I hope he plays next year. Honestly not even for a SB. I have 6 to remember with infinite joy (I was a Warner fan when Brady won his first!). I just want to enjoy football. For the first time in 22 years, these cooking coaches have crushed my enjoyment of the game. I just want to watch TB12 on a competent team with competent coaches… with a fighting chance to win.

The reason I enjoy football is because it shows us what TEAMWORK can accomplish. A sh!&y coach will show you how dysfunctional it can be. I just really wanna watch the GOAT play with a good team for one LAST DANCE!

  110. DBS Says:

    Have your fun Jameis fan.

  111. NEfan Says:

Goatflogger@ thanks BA for shoving these two unqualified shat arse wannabe coaches down the Bucs throat so you can prove how open minded you are about a.diverse coaching staff. Wrong reasons relic.

  112. Pewter Power Says:

Outcoached we’ve said that for about 15 games. This team wouldn’t even be in the playoffs if not for Brady’s last second heroics. Can’t imagine he wants to come back to tampa after losing like that

  113. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

If I were a team owner, the last person I would want involved in making picks is Todd Bowles.

    Lavante Davide : retire
    Mike Evans: trade
Godwin : Keep, he’ll address the fumbles this off season
Tom Brady : He’s officially gone now…and it would take and all-star coach to convince him to come back. An offensive-minded coach!

As to those saying we need a young, talented QB?

I don’t give a flip about his age…just finish rebuilding that offensive line, Jason.

  114. LastDance Says:

HAHAHA tbbucs3: Ive had 22 years of watching unmatched excellence. You simply want to get back to losing. Here you go. You can have this thread and your decade of losing. I hope it brings you great agony.

  115. DrunkinYbor Says:

Bruce Arians 31pts. a game 3 seasons. Todd and bone head Byron with essentially the same roster 18 pts. a game 1 miserable, wierd, head slapping, maddening, weak minded, 1 season.

  116. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I don’t even know of a good option out there, if I’m honest.

  117. Bosch Says:

Rod Munch, you make a great point. I am so angry with bowels an leftdork that I want to see them punished. But next year is rebuild and salary cap repair year . Wwhat better punishment than subjecting them to a losing season that further diminishes their their credibility. But then agin, is diminishing their credibility even possible?

  118. Izod Says:

The game went exactly as I predicted (except for the missed XPs): Bucs never had a chance.

Bowles is Top 5 worst HC in the league and the Glazers seem to like him. Bucs won’t win more than 4 games next year. Book it.

    Off season steps-
1- demand an apology from BA
    2- fire BL
    3- fire Bowles
4- before Brady leaves tonight tell him he can choose the OC & HC
    In no particular order….
5- sign a free agent DE
    6- draft DL
7- sign a free agent LG
    8- draft OL
9- draft a young, fast, quick receiver
    10- draft DB
    11- draft LB

  121. tbbucs3 Says:

“I don’t even know of a good option out there, if I’m honest”

    Heres a few good options…..
    Derrick Carr
    Lamar Jackson
    Not Tom Brady
    Not Kyle Trask
    Someone in the Draft

  123. LastDance Says:

tbbucs3 – hey Beetch… I am a nurse practitioner and a touring musician. You think your cheeky beetch-azz can hang… Lets talk logic and science… Oh… and I teach MMA… want some beetch

  124. PassingThru Says:

Well the coaching was bad, but this team was quite flawed. I mentioned the flaws repeatedly over the summer: They lost 3 red zone threats: Gronk, AB, and Godwin (never 100%) and replaced them with a variety of non red zone threats (Gage, Jones, and Randolph). But the biggest head-scratcher was not improving the O Line. Licht did a good job replacing Cappa with Shaq Mason, but it was obvious during the preseason there were problems at C and LG… and that is not accounting for the unexpected regression at LT. Licht should have fixed this O Line, he had plenty of time.

  125. Your Mom Says:

He relies too much on the blitz. That works against junky teams, but against a good quarterback with a serviceable line and receivers (good playoff teams), it gets you caught with your pants down over and over. See: tonight.

  126. NEfan Says:

Ttsuc, my boy didn’t give up 27 first downs and scores on 5 straight drives or 2 80 and 1 90yd drives. That’s on your boy Bowels.

  127. LastDance Says:

NE – man… they will never learn. Losers be losers as their boi likes to say

  128. NEfan Says:

Your Mom@ he blitzed against the QB with the most ints in the league. He’s a moron.

  129. Bosch Says:

Arians played the Glazers for fools. He got the cushy job he wanted. Saddled them with a horrendous coaching staff. And they put him in the ring of honor. Remember what Gruden said in an email to Allen the got him expelled from the ROH? We’ll the Glazers are swinging from Arians’.

  130. gp Says:

Dallas will get destroyed by the 49ers because John Lynch learned from his time here that it is imperative to PAY THE REFS!

  131. Bosch Says:

Gotta tank for high draft choice next season. Go ahead and make bowel movement and leftfailure suffer for it.

  132. tbbucs3 Says:

Brady literary threw to a wide open Cowboys player in the endzone with the playoffs on the line…..

Maybe Brady will have some interest in the Houston Roughriders for the upcoming USFL season?? Cause the NFL has passed him by

  133. HC Grover Says:

This staff and team is now a total clunker. Junk it and start over. New GM too. Out with the whole bunch. I would keep only the Punter and build a new team around him.

  134. NEfan Says:

Pop Warner 101, goaline D watch for the bootleg. Defensive genius, hah. Last Dance no need to get worked up, ttsuc was invisible after the Panther game. Not worth the effort.

  135. Bosch Says:

David, item 7. Move Wirfs to LT. Release Smith (of course) due to lack of character and salary cap. Sign free agent RT. Othewise, what you said.

  136. Sbucs Says:

Anyone who thinks retaining a head coach with a 32-50 record is nuts. Time to clean house. Start with Jason, he really lucked into Brady.

  137. Your Mom Says:

The scroller said Jim Harbaugh will be staying at Michigan, which the Glazers hear as Let’s make him an offer he can’t refuse….

  138. PassingThru Says:

    tbbuc3:

There were two questionable Brady passes into the endzone. The interception though was questionable, but it remains to be seen if it was Brady’s fault. He was in retreat due to the pass rush in his face, and it looked like he may not have gotten enough on that ball to throw it out of bounds. But then it may also have been miscommunication with his intended receiver (Godwin I believe) who broke to the outside instead of to the inside. There has been lots of miscommunication all season. You’d have to be in that huddle to make a judgement on that call, tbbucs3.

The other questionable pass was definitely Brady’s fault. He was trying to throw a pass to the slow and unathletic Brate, who was surrounded by three Dallas defenders. I have no idea why he made that decision, that was clearly on him.

  139. Sbucs Says:

Anyone who thinks retaining a head coach with a 32-50 record is crazy. This business is about selling tickets. Todd doesn’t sell the fan bae. Time to clean house. Start with Jason, he really lucked into Brady.

  140. RustyRhinos Says:

Hey Lastdance you sure are a busy person. Time to move on from QB’s closer to 50 than 40. I want a young QB and take our lumps as they grow. We have a lot of holes to fill next season. Color me not impressed with your MMA talk about teaching. I’ve been a Bucs can since 1975 when I moved to St. Pete. I’ve been on Joebucsfan almost from the beginning. You have not. You sound like a grumpy old fart. I am 57 and 6’4 230. Yeah as the song goes I aint as good as I once was. But as my daddy told me those who talk sh!t are usually full of it.

  141. tbbucs3 Says:

“who was surrounded by three Dallas defenders”

*4 defenders….it was FOUR, I was at the game Brady threw into quadruple coverage

  142. LastDance Says:

Hey Rusty… Your daddy sounds like he ke=new what he was talking about. But as everyone knows size doesn’t matter unless its in a weighing contest. Im just telling an idiot to shut his hole because he’s a fool. Now I will tell you the same. I have said I am a TB12 fan. I am a player fan period. Always have been. Why would I follow a sh!tty team for decades? Thats truly dumbaZZ stuff there. However, my words about what I do are true. It is not a brag. I appreciate TB12 because he works so hard at excelling… so I try to do the same. What do you do besides be tall and heavy?

  143. LastDance Says:

Also… I apologize and I would buy you a beer if I could. I do let emotion get the better of me after a bad loss… especially one that was no fun to watch. I said what I said because some people should know that there are smart people who work hard at being great and sometimes come up short. But to constantly pick fights man… just is not cool. The pats fans weren’t this bad and they are total doooshes

  144. NEfan Says:

Ttsucs 66 passes 1 int. That’s 2 games for most QB’s. Ttsucs your team is on the 5 1st down , NOT one running play. 1 play doesn’t lose a game ask Trevor Lawrence and Josh Allen.

  145. Bosch Says:

Hey lastdance. If or want to make a point, why don’t you 1) back it up and 2) use at least some level of English that doesn’t come across as an uneducated retard.

  146. LastDance Says:

NE – right dude. 4 ints… but the team played for one another and the coach. This team QUIT after that. Loser mentality. And ME13 dropping another TD… typical

  147. Lander D Dunbar Says:

The coaches and the quarterback has to go,let’s stop being afraid to place blame where it belongs, Brady has stunk up Raymond James all season long. Leftwich doesn’t throw uncontested interceptions Brady did. Brady was incapable of running offense all season long, but people love Brady so much their blind to his faults, example he throws uncontested interceptions and everybody who loves him will ignore the truth and blame the receivers. Is anyone on this blogs willing to accept and tell the truth….C’mon Man….truth is Brady has stunk this year…he c couldnt the throw, run, scramble, Improvise, bc he has no legs, which I needed in today’s NFL to be successful…… Brady lovers keep on ignoring the truth

  148. Cchead Says:

Todd Blowes has tp goes. Total embarrassment.

  149. LastDance Says:

hey lander… sounds a lot like you like the smell of Bowels stink.. .you perv

  150. bob Says:

ok tb12 is going to go….now go back to being a last place team

  151. DrunkinYbor Says:

Without A premiere pass rusher we were toast. Our pressure on Dak was horrendous. I was really surprised after Shaq went down we didn’t try to find at least a 6 to 8 sack replacement vet. A few wierd non moved this season that really cost us. We should have got better o line help on and on. I don’t think with Evans hea got 2 to 4 good seasons left and Godwin signed. Rachad white ia the future at R.B. but Davis is getting old. Please get rid of Bowlea it’s time for a change. A good 4 season run but it’s over. We can’t win with scared Bowls and drink and dunk up chuck little nut Left Biotch

  152. tbbucs3 Says:

    Hey Pats dummys

Id rather have Trevor Lawerences 4 TD 4 INT performance ANY DAY over Bradys measly 1 int with nothing to show for it

  153. Bosch Says:

The championship season of two years ago was sweet. The following year, was torpedoed by the horrendous job of our DC in the Rams game. Hope followed when TB decided not to retire. Then BA said pay me not to be HC And the consummate suckers, the Glazers who were handed their wealth (they could have never earned it ob their own) said thank you sir, may I have another? So they were stuck with the worst HC ( the DC Responsible for the Rams loss) OC combination in the league and honored BA with on ROH induction. And the season end with an outrageously fortuitously division championship followed by an embarrassing blowout loss in the first playoff game. I ask you, can there be a greater failure than the Glazers?

Tampa is my home, but I have no respect for the Glazers. I love Chris Godwin and Tristen Wirfs, but thourgly disappointed with LT Smith and totally disgusted with the two leading coaches. So, am I a fan or not a fan? Is it time for me to go?

  154. LastDance Says:

tbbucs3- what you will get is 15 years of irrelevance… You dumbazz

  155. steele Says:

Defense has been bad all season, collectively and individually, overrated and mediocre at best.

The same Bowles mess that lost the playoff game vs. the Rams face planted this entire game. Pitiful.

The only reason the defense was better during that Super Bowl run was the presence of guys like JPP, Suh, etc. and the initial hunger and inspiration of Brady. And Arians, though not a great coach by any stretch, was far better than Bowles.

That novelty wore off, everyone got lazy, never got disciplined or smarter, and those veteran losses piled up and were never filled. Rooks have had little impact, while the veterans never got better and got even more jaded and confused along the rest of the team.

  156. BucU Says:

Glazers do the right thing and FIRE EVERYBODY.

  157. Go Bucs Go Says:

    Steele nailed it!

For that reason, Brady will be most likely headed to 49ers after Cowboys knock them off next week.

You see, Brady is unlike others who are satisfied with just one ring and happy to ride along. Because when you think the first championship was hard, the second one is harder. And no one wants to commit to such dedication with a ring already in your pocket. But Brady keeps seeking “the next ring” like religion. He grinds and grind. It will tire and turn off many people. I get the impression that this team wasn’t up to that level commitment. Pretty understandable. Brady is an odd man out here.

I think he’s gone for a team that is as hungry for his next ring.

    Go Bucs!

  158. Manny Says:

Someone please explain to me why in the f**k it matters if u fire a black coach after a first year of midway thru the year or whatever. If they aint doing their job rigjt, u get a new coach. Its just how it is. God dAmn. So it isnt about winninng anymore, its about politics. BS

  159. Kenny Says:

NOT the best feeling after the Bucs lose bad to the cowboys, but it wasn’t there year, they need some coaching changes FAST and if i was a betting man, I don’t think you will see TB12 in Tampa next season, I say take that 10yr FOX DEAL worth over 300 million plus and do that.

  160. Ok Says:

Brady trolls – 2003-2019-worst franchise in football 2020-22 Super Bowl MVP all pro five playoff wins 28 points more and four of them a Super Bowl playoff ever years 2023-2030- Playing in half fill stadiums back to pre-Brady, 3 to 7 wins for the next 2 decades. He stuck it to you guys for three years. All you haters. You’ll never take away what he did here. Enjoy your night last night. You’ll have an athletic quarterback, next year, enjoy it !! Lol

  161. BucU Says:

Blow this MoFu up! Todd Bowles is the worst NFL coach I have ever seen. These old brittle players need to be gone.
We go 2-15 next season with Trask then we get a franchise QB in the draft.
Blow this joke of a team up TODAY.

  162. FrankFooter Says:

As far as Brady goes, I have seen anything that bad since the onita brian concert

  163. Brandon Says:

Why was our BEST, yes our best, CB only playing special teams? Was Dean too injured to play D?

  164. RustyRhinos Says:

Hey Lastdance, you sound like you’re telling us all how short and thin you are. I am a land surveyor I’ve worked on building 75 south from Ft. Myers the impovements to highway 41 to Miami, worked Tropican field and Mercedes-Benz stadium. I have worked in HI, AZ, NC, GA, VA, AL. Built multiple subdivisions multiple beach front 12+ story building, laid miles and miles of water&sewer lines. Yeah I am not a MMA trainer, or a Nurse Practitioner, I do play a mean Mandolin though. If the Buccaneers means that little to you why are you on every post? See ya in the next post and the next post and the next post, talking the same stuff. For the record I am a dark rum man myself. Beer is not my thing. Cheers to the hope you head out to the next player you follow team blog and fill its posts with all your positive vibes. Good luck.
