Tom Brady Hints At Deep Problems For Antonio Brown

January 2nd, 2022

Addresses Antonio Brown fit.

The man who recruited furniture-tossing, bicycle-winging, tantrum-throwing, quitting Antonio Brown to the Bucs struggled for words after the game to make sense of what had happened with his close friend in the third quarter.

Tom Brady all but said that Brown went mental today, leading to Brown being told to leave the field by Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians. Brady, in his postgame remarks, strongly hinted Brown is suffering from something that is going on away from the field and/or between Brown’s ears.

As is well known, Brady hounded Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht and Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians to bring Brown in last year.

And Licht and Arians did. The result? A Super Bowl, baby!

But today, Arians finally got fed up. When Brown refused repeated instructions to get back on the field, Arians told him to get the hell off the field and back to the locker room. Brown complied as he threw his undershirt and gloves into the stands, then did jumping jacks in the end zone at MetLife Stadium and waved goodbye to everyone — as well as a million bucks.

Oh, the Bucs won by outscoring the Jets 18-0 in the final 21 minutes for a come-from-behind win.

Brady stated everyone should have some sympathy for Brown. And Brady struggled for words when addressing the situation.

“That’s obviously a difficult situation,” said Brady when asked about Brown’s freakout. “I think we all want him to, you know, just, I think everybody should find, hopefully what they can to help him in ways that he really needs it.

“We all love him. We care about him deeply. We want to see him be his best. Unfortunately it won’t be with our team. But, you know, we have a lot of friendships that will last.

“I think everyone should be compassionate and empathetic toward some very difficult things that are happening.”

Now Brady did not suggest what may be going on with Brown that caused today’s tantrum. Could it be Brown has more outstanding debts? Is he struggling to find a new chef? Or did the FBI launch an investigation into Brown for him flashing a fake V-card?

None of us know Brown’s private life. But if you suit up for a game and are not injured, refusing orders to take the field is tantamount in Joe’s eyes to throwing a game.

Yesterday on social media, Brown sure had wide smiles as the team traveled to New Jersey. So it seemed like he wanted to play.

Joe will say this for Brown, putting up with his antics at least got the Bucs a Super Bowl win, unlike that cancer DeSean Jackson whose stunts only helped blow up the locker room and add to the losses.

Fact is the Bucs are better with him. And desperately need him for playoffs

  2. cmurda Says:

Different story with D Jax. That guy is just a walking, breathing spore of bacteria. AB has issues likely stemming from CTE. He has real brain issues. Looks a lot like Bipolar but I doubt that’s what it actually is.

  3. Dave in Fl Says:

He obviously has mental health issues and they came out gangbusters today. Brady is right that we should show some compassion and caring, but at the same time, AB is a grown man – hard to believe sometimes… – and if he isn’t willing to put in the work to address his issues, things are only going to get more difficult for him. A very unfortunate situation.

  4. Rod Munch Says:

Yeah, I just watched it myself, and this was my biggest concern, how Brady takes it. He sounded like he knows AB is a complete nutjob, sounded sad for him, but not angry at the team or Arians.

It stinks to lose AB, who is Brady’s favorite target, but at least he’s not blaming the team.

  5. geno711 Says:

Not sure whether AB has an innie or outtie VGA but he sure acted like one today.

  6. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Jesus Munch, you are such a conspiracy theorist! You’ve tried to make this so much more than it was. It was a mentally ill, 17 strike and you’re out guy who completely melted down and quit on his teammates!!!

  7. Francisco Guzman Says:

Unfortunately our super bowl hopes went down the drain when AB got loco!!!!

  8. Rod Munch Says:

cmurda – we literally don’t know that. I know plenty of people who never played a day of football in their lives, get a bad break, and suddenly everyone is out to get them, they’re the victim, nothing is their fault, etc. Some people are just a-holes, no excuses needed.

AB helped us win a SB, and is a really good player the team needs, but if he’s gone full insane and quit the game, like Arians said, if that is true, then he’s off the useable crazy meter.

  9. Stop@gmail.com Says:

“Is he struggling to find a new chef?”

    LOL

  10. Francisco Guzman Says:

I have no doubts that AB has some type of CTE. Some bipolar as well.

  11. Buc4evr Says:

Something is profoundly wrong with AB, CTE? I dunno, but he needs professional help. I’m sure there is a lot more to this story. I’m also sure TB12 knows what is going on with AB…

  12. Sean Says:

And I bet Brown will interpret Brady’s measured statement as a betrayal or taking the team’s “side.” He’ll start talking about the GOAT pretty soon. Because that’s how AB’s mind works.
    It’s an equation:
Broken home + childhood poverty+ concussions + predilection for mental illness + low academic performance + fame + being enabled + being wealthy =
self-destructive stupidity (most of the time)

  13. Rod Munch Says:

Alvin Scissors – because I said let’s wait until we know some facts before lynching the guy, that makes me a conspiracy theorist? LOL!

  14. Francisco Guzman Says:

I hope Arians plays everybody next week. This team can’t let their foot off the gas pedal.

  15. JimmyJack Says:

Just read Joes moniker for Brown……and Im pretty sure thats the list of his “hassles” since he was signed by the Bucs.

Antinios career lust of “hassles” is much longer.

The point is if you didnt realize going in that Brown aren’t right in the head then the jokes on you. Brown was going to collapse at some point. It sucks he couldnt make it 2 more months but at least he didnt ruin our chanses last year.

This would of been less bad if Brown had spazzed out a few weeks ago then maybe we could found another reciever off the streets. I still think we have enough weapons but its gonna take a very gritty effort by a few players……not sure if we got the right guys.

But if Bucs fans know one thing very well its hope.

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  16. Francisco Guzman Says:

They need to find an identity really quickly on offense without no antonio brown.

  17. Zwak Says:

AB would have made one million in incentives. But by pulling this stunt it will cost him much more! His agent must be sh!t faced right now..

  18. Francisco Guzman Says:

JimmyJack you’re kidding yourself if you think they have enough weapons. Are these no name receivers gonna be on the same page as Brady? Idk. Anyway their offense took a tumble after today. My expectations have gone down with the brown news.

  19. Don_RyJo(e) Says:

Well… AB was always a High-Risk-High-Reward prospect. I’m really impressed with the rest of the guys for pushing that insane distraction aside to focus on winning (*stealing*) a game. A poorly coached team (which, for some reason, SO MANY commenters on the open thread accused the Bucs of being) would have absolutely imploded in such circumstances.

  20. Francisco Guzman Says:

The cowboys are losing. That means the 3rd seed for the bucs. Meaning a possible matchup with the rams in the second round. Yikes.

  21. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

No Munch, I read your other thread about AB mouthing off to Arians about the fact he had Covid and was vaccinated. Many others read that as well. Nice try though!

  22. geno711 Says:

So Guzman who do you think the Bucs can beat in the playoffs?

Or just say that you are off the band wagon.

We get it. You are doom and gloom from here on.

  23. Francisco Guzman Says:

Alvin Scissors just curious but what are your expectations for this team now?

  24. New England Patriots Fan Says:

AB was the best receiver left on this team, and there is zero chance, he rejected playing today and as a result took a mental breakdown. BA and AB clearly had a fight on the sideline and AB snapped. BA is a liar and a mediocre coach. AB is a superstar with brain damage and bipolar disorder. With or without AB, however this is a one and done playoff team as Brady started to fade Oct 31 v. Saints and has never looked right since.

  25. Francisco Guzman Says:

geno711 not doom and gloom but no super bowl. Maybe a playoff win. I just think our passing offense will suffer. Evans, Gronk and who else?

  26. 1Gr8Buc Says:

Alvin you are giving munch too much credit by calling him a conspiracy theorist. Guy has way too many mental misfires to really put a full theory together, let alone express it lol.

  27. JimmyJack Says:

    Guzman……..Im hoping man.

Brate stepped up today with a clutch TD.
Grayson stepped up with the clutchest TD we have seen in years.
    Can they keep it up?

I could see Bell get involved. That guy has got some hands.
    I puke a bit when I say O.J can step up…….or Tlyer Johnson….But I got hope man.

Fournette could come back. He has been a key weapon all year!!

You can absolutrly feature Mike Evans for this offense or you can feature Gronk. Plenty of potency between those too.

Give me Brady and give me a probowl line protecting him. I still like me chance even with no AB.

Plenty of hope for this offense!!
    GO BUCS!!!

  28. Bucschamp Says:

AB said his ankle was sore and done for the day but BA wanted him to go in

  29. Ron says Says:

I am sure he was upset about having an outside chance in the last 2 games to obtaining his bonus of million dollars but as the game went and the flow went away from him it probably is what spark this melt down. This game and this team was about winning and having a chance at another championship and not about personal goals or agendas. Unfortunately, as great as AB is and has been this probably cost him a gold jacket and will always taint his legacy. The game is about unity and focus, he will look for a scapegoat but the one who betrayed him is the one in the mirror.

  30. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Guzman, I’m not positive there is a juggernaut in the NFC right now. I have no expectations. I would love them to repeat. Of course, AB is a tough guy to lose, but you cannot allow the man to take off his uniform, walk off the field in NY, wave to the fans and expect anything else other than he will be cut. Clearly, the dude is seriously disturbed.

  31. New England Patriots Fan Says:

Brady has not looked good since late October he is not on MVP form and has struggled with TO and fumbles and red zone for weeks. I’ve watched every Brady game his entire career he is retiring this year his play dropped off heavily middle of the season and he struggles now v. very weak quarterbacks and defences.

He is the best, but he’s finally reach the time for retirement.

  32. Francisco Guzman Says:

New England Patriots Fan you’re so wrong on Brady! The guy has thrown a million passes this year. He’s still pretty good.

  33. Francisco Guzman Says:

Alvin Scissors surely there’s no juggernaut but i just don’t see how this offense is good enough to go on the road and put up over 28 points.

  34. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

New England Patriots Fan……what was Brady’s stat line today? He’s no good? Really? Did you watch the last 2 minutes with no timeouts, receivers most people have never heard of and 93 yards to go? Yeah, he really stinks!

  35. Jerry Says:

Bucs will beat the Cards or 49ers at home in rd 1. Then get blasted by the Rams in LA in the divisional round.

The prevailing stat of the year that keeps coming up is the Bucs offense needs 30 pts a game to win. The defense is just not very good. They’ve not been good or consistent all year long. We don’t have the weapons to do 30 points a game anymore. AB is gone. Godwin is done. Evans has his annual end of the year hammy issues. Scotty Miller has been MIA all year. Tyler Johnson has been a disappointment. Perriman….I don’t know what happened to him. He’s disappeared. So all we got now is Gronk and Grayson? And that’s going to win us the Super Bowl?

  36. Listnfrmafar Says:

Did Brady confirm what BA said about not going back in? If so talk about a guy with mental issues. He went from hero to zero in one week, nobody will pick him up. Hey can you fire a person that’s mentally disabled? They may still be a chance.

  37. New England Patriots Fan Says:

I would love for Bucs to make it to a SB and win as NE wont be doing it this year as wild card team after Buffalo won this week. I just do not see it for Tampa as this offence has been struggling for weeks and has to get lucky or receive. referee help to beat average opponents.

  38. Bird Says:

How do we make these patriot fans go away ?
    Seriously

New england patriots fan – yes brady stinks . Thanks for jumping on bucs site to tell us

Back to back years of 40 tds to 12 ints is just terrible. When literally 20 starters have missed games this year. 😂

  39. Ben green Says:

Yeah the guy has deep problems. You don’t need to be Dr Phil to figure that out. The point is the enabling that has followed this guy. He’s one of the most gifted recievers I’ve ever seen, and it was up close, but he also demonstrates the behavior of a psychopath. Members of the dudes family knew he was no good. Apparently no amount of TB12 and concussion juice from Alex Guerrero could reign him in. It really is a testament to what happens when consequence goes unchecked. Teammates always liked him, he could mimic empathy, it was essentially a license for the guy to continue to hurt people, or himself. You imagine the scratch this guy has left to the wind

  40. Francisco Guzman Says:

Jerry the rams have looked like crap. We would need the defense to come up with a heck of a performance. The problem is this offense without a guy like AB.

  41. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

Whatever AB is, it’s not “bipolar”.

  42. sasquatch Says:

Clearly, he has mental health problems. I can have compassion for someone like that, but that doesn’t mean I want him on my football team. Good riddance.

  43. Buccaneric Says:

Comments are hilarious! Gronk had what, 120 yards? Immortal Grayson is blowing up, and the offense clicked as soon as AB left the field. But we are sunk without AB? Makes no sense.

But @Joe got the best laugh. AB would’ve been fine if he just had a new chef. Lmao!

  44. Buccaneric Says:

Also, Brady is a class act. Great way to handle this situation. Wonder if he knew it was coming.

  45. freadity Says:

Wwel, i mean not going into the game, what can be your reason, once you refuse, you are not a player anymore, who are you? still, i wish we can leave this behind had this not have happened or happened for a random reason for example had AB refused to drink the bleu gatorade and wanted the yellow instead and left the stadium this could be remedied but refusing to play who are you if you are not playing get out

  46. geno711 Says:

Watched as much as I could sidelines of the Bucs drive when they were down 24 to 10 with 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. I do not see AB standing up ready to go in with the rest of the offensive players. I see OJ, Perriman and others but no 81. He should be standing with the rest of his offensive team.

What do the coaches have to go find him?

Pretty sure Evans was in on every play of that drive until he went out to try to talk AB off his cliff.

  47. Bradinator Says:

One the Broncos radio made a good point that AB hasn’t been the same guy since that vicious Vontae Burfict hit in the playoffs a couple of years ago. It was brutal. Might be something to that

  48. Christos Says:

Sure with Godwin out and now Brown gone the Playoffs chances are way down. But you cant let go of what happened today, you cant keep him. It is what it is. The team has many issues. We are not going into the Playoffs hot and playing good and we miss a lot of players. The team is up and down all year. Hell is up and down even between halves in the same game. Last year going into the Playoffs i was cautious optimistic. This year will be in a wait and see mode. Go Bucs

  49. Eric Says:

    40 tds
    leads league in yardage
    likely mvp

    6-1 in this “bad spell”

  50. WalkdaPlank Says:

Y’all continuing to credit AB with the Super Bowl win when he had 8 catches in the postseason, didn’t play the NFC Championship, and caught a TD in a defensive rout of the Chiefs is absolutely wild to me.

Especially when guys like Brady, Lombardi Lenny, and Godwin contributed far more.

  51. Francisco Guzman Says:

Christos this team would have made the super bowl with AB. Unfortunately it’s not happening anymore. I see so many weak teams including the cowboys but the lack of firepower is gonna come back to bite them.

  52. Mike Johnson Says:

Brady like the guy because he is so reliable. But Brady probably knows better than anybody AB has some very lose synapsis upstairs. He won’t say anything bad about AB. Its unfortunate some people you just gotta kick to the curb after giving them multiple chances. Hell, I’ve even done that with…. Family members.

  53. Francisco Guzman Says:

Mike Johnson if he was indeed released he will be picked up shortly. Just hope it’s the chiefs.

  54. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Francisco

Our defense has more holes than a golf course.

AB being or not being here is not our biggest problem.

  55. Listnfrmafar Says:

Newenglandpatriotsfan, seriously? Belichick let’s Jones run up the score to make his choke QB feel better. Didn’t see that against Indy and Buffalo games, yes games, he let him throw 3 times in one of them. If Brady was still there Pat’s would be SB favorites. Dbag

  56. PassingThru Says:

Going into the postseason without a quality slot receiver is going to bite this team in ass.

  57. New England Patriots Fan Says:

I’ve been using this site since Tom joined two years ago nearly everyday during the seasons. I read and listen to the podcast and write ups. I just rarely comment. I’ve followed Tom and Gronks entire careers and continue to do it. I enjoy reading the comments from the regulars are lots are funny. I’m just providing my context as a person who watched every Brady game for 20y and a person who wants him to succeed. There are like 10 players ready to retire on this roster including JPP, Brady and Gronk and formerly AB. Tom is had something going on since the Saints Oct31 game, his TO and placement have been off and losing Godwin and AB, is massive. Only player left he trust is RG.

  58. Francisco Guzman Says:

PassingThru that’s the problem. Their super bowl chances went out the window with the cutting of AB. I think Brady even knows this. They will try and get there but they will likely come up short in the divisional round.

  59. JR Says:

    BYE…. BYE…
AB No longer needed. You Are a Cancer!!! No one should ever let you play again and pay you.

  60. Francisco Guzman Says:

Jmarkbuc their defense can still make some plays. They where missing some guys today. Come on now! Missing one of their best pass rushers.

  61. Francisco Guzman Says:

JR so are the bucs super bowl hopes. Who are we kidding?

  62. SB~LV Says:

Ran in the heat of battle!
Don’t look back, that is what the off-season is for.
He can NOT be counted on as a teammate

  63. Buc You Says:

I think “New England Patriots Fan” is actually Antonio Brown in disguise! di🥸

  64. Kaimaru Says:

To the conspiracy theorists out there. Why would Arians ever ask a player to go out there if injured. Do you think Brady would be okay with that? Do you think Antonio Brown would stop following Tom Brady on social media for that? GTFO!

  65. rriddler Says:

They should suspend him, not cut him, saves the money and keeps him from another NFC playoff team and him giving them our playbook.

  66. D-Rome Says:

Cutting him is absolutely the correct decision. I’d feel the same way if Brady did anything like what Brown did today. It’ll likely cost the Bucs a Super Bowl but unlike the Rona nonsense this absolutely can be damaging to a locker room.

  67. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

rriddler. Dude, relax. No one is going to sign AB this year. Not a chance. He quit on his team. Why don’t you tell me how many times you’ve seen a guy take off his shoulder pads, take off his shirt and gloves, throw them to the fans, walk around the end zone waving to the opposing fans before he goes into the tunnel?
I’ll save you the brainpower and tell you the answer is “never.”

  68. SC. Bucs Fanqq Says:

I’m amazed, a year after winning the Super Bowl, how many Buc “fans” troll this site rooting for bad news. What a sad life that must be.

  69. Jmarkbuc Says:

Antonio Brown does not equal a Super Bowl.

Our Defense couldn’t stop the Jets for most of the day.. we’ve got bigger problems.

  70. Jmarkbuc Says:

AB was suspended without pay for three games. There can’t be that much owed to him, especially now with no incentives.

He won’t be “cut”. He’ll be deactivated.

  71. Cchead Says:

Mental health issues are real and are not given enough awareness in our society.
    Go Bucs!

  72. Jerry Says:

Brady knows what a Super Bowl team looks like. When you win 7 times. You know. Last year he saw something. He knew the team could do it. This year is very different. He knows it won’t happen. He will try 150% but knows what’s going to happen. And I think the first Saints game is when he knew the magic was gone. He hasn’t really looked comfortable or right since that game.

  73. David Says:

Everyone saying they NEED him to win the Super Bowl is wrong. Having him definitely improves the odds, especially since there will be no Godwin, but not having him does not mean they won’t win.
Not having Shaq and JPP and LVD on defense or having them less than 85% will be the main reason they don’t win. If they don’t get the pass rush that they had last year in the playoffs they’re not winning it.

As for AB, he walked off and quit on the team. I don’t care what transpired prior to that or what was said or done, it is the worst thing you can possibly do in a team game. You should be off the team immediately

  74. Bobby M. Says:

I really believe the dude is bipolar and that goes back to his high school days. He was a top talent in the Miami area that couldn’t get a sniff from a D1 program.

  75. David Says:

I am just curious as to why he would not go in and play.
He needed 8 catches, 50 yards, 1 TD before the end of the season to get $1 million. Plus playoff incentives were close to another million.
Plus he just screwed himself in a contract with the Bucs or another team. It sure could not have been the ankle or an injury because he jogged off the field doing jumping jacks and look just fine.
I don’t get it, other than saying he’s mentally unstable.

  76. David Says:

    Bobby M.

That is probably the most likely reason, or CTE issues over the years.
Terrell Owens, Antonio Brown, Moss & Chad Johnson to a lesser extent…
There’s been a lot of receivers over the last 2 decades with some serious issues

  77. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

I want to hear AB’s side of things, why he did what he did.

  78. Greg Says:

@ Francisco You are not a Bucs fan obviously. With no AB no SB hopes? Perhaps this galvanizes the team and the kick butt! Put the keyboard down and get a grip.

  79. Anonymous Says:

To all those implying the team should overlook the classless insubordination of Brown to increase their chances of winning more games try this…. Go to work tomorrow and refuse repeated directives from your boss and see if they ignore because you are good at your job? Fact is he has been given way too many chances and should of been cut when he broke the law and forged a government document, got teammates to do so as well and then lied about it when asked. Those willing to look the other way in exchange for wins have no moral compass and even if you win a game or two you are still a loser.

  80. Pewter Power Says:

Someone is desperate enough to sign him but this should be a wrap on his nfl career

  81. Buc You Says:

Chris… if you had a roofer yank off his shirt and throw it in a tree and then storm off on you in front of all of your customers….. would you want to really hear his side of the story?

    🤣

  82. captivajim Says:

agree –his ankle looked fine -doing jumping jacks as he left… I don’t think BA is telling the Whole truth..

That fake vax card really piised off BA… AB was so close to offsetting the lost 3 game pay by achieveing those incentives–makes me wonder what was really said .

someday it might come out …But ,,Hope this dosen’t create tension, etc in locker room.. We have enough trouble with injuries, game planning, and execution..

  83. Buc You Says:

    AB also quit in Oakland

  84. Wild Bill Says:

@NE Patriots fan. I have been saying since mid season that Brady is off his game. Still an excellent QB but too many missed throws the second half of this season. And fewer deep throws like the game winner today. I think he is his own toughest critic and it would not surprise me if he retires this year. We were very lucky to have him and he deserves to quit on his own terms if he chooses to.

  85. Craig Says:

If Brady is his friend, I hope he steps up and gets AB to a psychiatrist. Something has gotten out of balance.

We do not need AB to win another Stupor Bowl. We need an offensive coordinator that can use the team to its best advantages.

AB’s routes were miles off all day, but Grayson and Perriman ran theirs fine. If Leftwich can use them properly, we will score a lot.

If Bowles can find the top of his game the defense will be fine, if injuries or COVID doesn’t barge the door.

  86. Ben green Says:

Brady has been using most of his powers to keep these yahoos in check all season. From the derelict coaching staff, to the insane wide receiver, no freaking wonder he’s off a little. I’ve noticed more arrant passes also, but when you’ve gotta play head coach, team psychologist and offensive coordinator, the QB play suffers

  87. Buczilla Says:

Antonio needs some serious help. He’s not living in our world, but his own. Something is seriously broke with this dude and I hope that he finds a way to fix it.

  88. Ben green Says:

If Brady plays next year, which I think he will, he’s going to want real coaches.

  89. Lesko_Brandon Says:

So, how is AB going home tonight ? does he need to buy own plane ticket to Tampa ? 😄

  90. Steven Says:

    Early signs CTE= compassion

  91. Bucs Win Says:

    Ben green is stupid.

  92. JimBuc2 Says:

Hope AB don’t make more news, ie police report..
    Gone from Bucs!

  93. Adrnagy Says:

Stop it. ! AB is a grown man.

  94. Bob in valrico Says:

I don’t think his ankle was hurt by the way he danced off the field.
That said it would be a classy thing for he Bucs organization
to reach out and offer assistance
to AB if he is willing to get help. They have some bonus money left over.

What an awful take. Were your takes this bad after the Patriots’ games as well?

  96. Jmarkbuc Says:

    geno

Unfortunately I think you’re exactly right about all the hats TB is wearing. It’s a shame that he’s been so taken advantage of.

  97. Buccos Says:

Someone said it already. AB is a cancer. It is addition by subtraction. Next man up. Perriman was a legit number one a couple of years ago with Jaymiss throwing the ball. Imagine what he can do with Brady. These guys are the champs already. That is for a reason. They are mentally strong. This team has the heart of a champion. If we get our defense healthy I would never count them out.

  98. geno711 Says:

Larry Moss Jr., the former stepfather of Antonio Brown, said he is not surprised the NFL wide receiver is facing a civil lawsuit in which Brown stands accused of rape, sexual assault and sexual harassment.

“I can’t tell you that he did what they said he did,’’ Moss told USA TODAY Sports. “But I know he’s very abusive to women.

“As far as just raping somebody, (Brown) just feels like he can have whatever he wants. He’s just empowered that way. So it doesn’t surprise me that this kind of allegation came out about him.’’

“A lot of things that Tony’s doing, nothing surprises me,’’ Moss said. “I’m surprised that it took them this long to figure him out. Because he’s been this way since he’s been 12 years old.’’

Disagree on cutting AB. The dude obviously has issues. Treat them like medical issues. Try to get him help. Put him on meds, etc. and see if he can be brought back. Punishing him for him not being in his right mind does not seem right.

    maybe CTE?

  102. Larry Says:

Brown has serious issues that need to be addressed. This is not new. Unfortunately one team after another signs him full well knowing his serious issues yet ignoring them. In my opinion what these teams are doing is abusive and done entirely out of self interest. While Brady said the right things as he always does, he is as guilty of abusing Brown because Brady knows better than anyone how ill Brown is. But rather than get him help, Brady encourages brown to play. Out of self interest. Very sad.

As for the game it’s the old ‘never count Brady out’. He finds ways to win even when his team is having a subpar day. And Brady did it again! An amazing athlete!!

    maybe CTE?

Won’t know until he’s pushing up daisies. Possible.

  104. Rod Munch Says:

More info from The Athletic that I read. Arians told him to go into the game, AB said he couldn’t because of his ankle, Arians said if you can’t go in, you’re done for the game. That is what set off AB.

It doesn’t say the tone of Arians comments, and that’s probably the most important thing — it does however say the Bucs player said Arians set him off, which to me says Arians was being an a-hole, basically casting doubt on if he was really injured or not (Brown was on the injury report all week because of his ankle).

The tone is literally everything there. If you want to read it as Arians being an a-hole you can, but you can also read it as Arians looking out for one of the best players on his team, saying if you’re not good to go, you’re out, because we can’t get you hurt with the playoffs in a couple of weeks.

If you’ve followed Arians at all, knowing he’s from the Ray Perkins coaching tree, then I think you know the tone that was used.

Still it’s stupid for AB to let that trigger him, if he’s really injured, then he should be fine with sitting out the game. But if the coach showed him up in front of people, basically calling him a p-word for sitting out, then that’s a different story. I guess we wait for more leaks on the drama.

With that said, the big thing, as before, it doesn’t seem like Brady is bashing Arians or the Bucs, he seems to know that Brown went full nuthouse.

In any case, Brown played a big part in winning a SB, anyone that says the Bucs were stupid for signing him or resigning him is literally a loser idiot, with a loser idiot mentality. We rode this horse for as long as we could, but the horse died, now he goes to the glue factory. That’s how it goes in the NFL.

  105. Rod Munch Says:

Apparently Brady and Brown met up after the game, someone leaked a transcript…

Brown: [sniveling] Brady, I am really sorry.

Brady: You f***ed up good. You looked me in the eye and treated me like sh*t; like I was nobody.

Brown: I couldn’t come to you; not after what you said to me. I was ashamed then; I am ashamed now. I swear on my kids, I am clean. But I got nowhere else to go. I could really use some help now.

    Brady: Take this.

[Brady transfers 17750 shares of Dogecoin to Brown]

    Brown: Thank you.

Brady: And now I have to turn my back on you. There is no other way.

Brown: [narrating] My reward for a lifetime of service to Brady: $3,200. It was not even enough to pay for my ankle cast.

Cleanhouse – you’ve never seen Goodfellas? Wow. It’s pretty brilliant on my behalf, even getting the crypto currency rate to match-up with the movie.
