Inside Tom Brady Practice Days

October 16th, 2021

“Don’t we get a break, Tom?”

Bucco Bruce Arians likes to say Tom Brady reminds him of an excited 12 year old when he comes to practice.

But what do Brady’s teammates see?

In many ways they see the same thing. But per veteran tight end Cameron Brate, they also experience a guy hungry to maximize every second possible.

“It’s really amazing what he’s doing, like every single day he’s out there excited to practice, throws extra practice before, after, during practice,” Brate told SiriusXM NFL Radio yesterday. “I mean he’s just incredible to watch. So all of us are just kind of like little sponges trying to soak up as much as we can from him, figure out the fountain of youth that he has somehow discovered.”

Brate added that while Bucs players were given Friday through Monday off following Thursday night’s 28-22 victory in Philadelphia, he expects Brady to be throwing and training on the break.

While Brate said he is eager to play with his dog and sit on his couch all day and night watching football, he’ll pick up the phone and oblige if it’s Brady calling for a set of hands and legs to catch balls and run routes.

I like it but got to keep him on a throwing count …practices/ workouts counto
We need him playing for a few more years

Doesnt matter young / old. Best shape / eat right
If you do same motion over and over again its wear and tear on that shoulder
Just like pro golfers usually have some back or hip issues as they age

Oh and being 44 years old. Cmon brady – stay in your lane bro
    Take it down a notch.

  2. RandsABucFan Says:

No doubt a consummate professional. He takes his position very seriously but understands how to lighten the mood at the same time where he’s not overbearing to others.

  3. Buc1987 Says:

orlbucfan has to be hating all this Brady worship today on JBF.

  4. Vinny from Vermont Says:

Just wondering how many HOF retired QB’s watching the reporting of TB’s focus and drive (exhibited by his daily regimen), have mused on the ‘what if’… had they utilized their opportunities presented while they still played?

I’m still in awe of both my newfound mass jersey ownership of Tom Brady in just a few years and the man himself. His presence and positive energy isn’t just felt on Gameday. Every day that he practices or competes is a day that his teammates can learn and prosper from his work ethic and success.

  6. Casual Observer Says:

    Good question Vinny.

No doubt about that. Orlbuc gets really sad when there is brady praise
    😂

  8. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

My only regret is that we do not have a young QB learning from him. When he retires, the biggest loss will be his dedication to the game. As hard as Winston worked (and he did), he was never like this.

I doubt very many NFL guys are.

    Kyle Trask.

    @bird

I don’t think Tom Brady needs your advice.

    You need his advice.

  11. PSL Bob Says:

I hope Brady retires before Father Time finally catches up. He should go out on top of his game. I’d hate to see him start losing arm strength or otherwise losing his edge. You know as well as I, a few interceptions, some injuries, or he repeatedly forgets what down it is, whatever, and the fans will start piling on the dump Brady bandwagon. We don’t need that. What he’s done for the Bucs deserves reverence. Please Tom, one, maybe two, more years and then hang it up.

  12. Rod Munch Says:

I love how people here think they know more about Tom Brady’s arm than he does. The guy eats lemongrass and eggplants for desert because he’s ‘in tune’ with his body — you don’t think he knows if his arm is good or not?

  13. Rod Munch Says:

PSL Bob – Father time only applies to humans, not robots.

Where did i give tom brady advice?
Im a huge brady fan now that he is a buc. We are witnessing greatness
That last part was a joke . You probably dont get sarcasm. Stay in your lane bro is from a commercial.

And tell tiger about overdoing it. Guy has like 4 back surgeries already cause he practiced and practiced and practiced to be the dominant golfer ever. Well him and jack.

    Thanks though dad

    Brady for Bucs RoH ?

  16. Swampbuc Says:

Bird — you are naive if you think Brady is going to let anyone put him on a count. You think he’s on a count? He has the most attempts in the league after six games. Sorry man, but that’s lame.

  17. Destinjohnny Says:

Wish we would have had him when we had our good defenses…

  18. Ben green Says:

Every time someone bets against him, he wins. That study Bill commissioned was**. Everyone is right to bet on daddy time. Problem is, people have been doing that to Brady since he was 36. He’s going to throw more TD’s in his 40’s than he did in his 20’s. maybe you can explain some of that through rules changes, or defensive disadvantage, but truthfully it’s all him. He always wanted this, to be the TB12 machine he is now. Steve Young talked about having all the answers, but being robbed by the physical side of the game. Ben has news for y’all. He can keep doing this until he’s 50. So long as he has weapons, and a decent defense

  19. David Says:

    A count???? 😂

This isn’t baseball. His mechanics are great. You’re not going to blow out a rotator cuff throwing a football like you do throwing some baseball pitches. He’s got his personal trainers and diet and exercise – he is good to go for another year or two.

  20. Todd Says:

Perhaps it’s simply Occam’s Razor, “The simplest solution is often the best.”

I think it’s simply this, “Giselle must be a real nag at home!”

Brady getting to work early, staying later than everyone else “prepping”…come on, good people. THINK!

    [Insert winking emoji here]

    Just kidding Giselle.

  21. Erik Says:

Brady is a born champion and his attitude is something everyone can appreciate. Plus his eating habits help him get the most energy and he recovers better from injury. It’s why at 44 he is better than all qb’s over 30. He truly perfected his quality of life and practice, practice, practice makes him better each game he plays. If the rest of the team can stay as healthy as he does no other team would stand a chance against us.

What is your expertise? I’m thinking it is in none of the fields you discussed above. Arm strength is built through throwing. Brady has some of the best doctors and advisors to assist him in maintaining his health. Stay in your lane, bro.
