Ryan Jensen Appreciation Video

October 16th, 2021

Enforcer.

One of the cool things from Thursday night’s game was Tom Brady’s pocket.

There was plenty of time to throw for salad-bar-hating, park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking, tequila-shooting, smartphone-phobic, waffle-grilling, trophy-throwing, roller-coaster-scared, numbers-rules-peeved, helmet-tossing, football-punting, Bucs-Super-Bowl-winning quarterback.

And how the pocket developed around Brady will no doubt be used in all sorts of offensive line film rooms throughout the country.

A big reason for that is Ryan Jensen. The Bucs center is sort of the soul of the offensive line. He’s nasty, mean, ornery and aggressive. Everything you want in a center.

The edge he plays with sets a tone. Don’t tell Joe that doesn’t rub off on Alex Cappa and the rest of the line.

Call Jensen Brady’s enforcer.

Brandon Thorn, who specializes in breaking down offensive line play, has always been a huge proponent of Jensen. Thorn reminds viewers in the video below why he believes Jensen is the game’s best center.

Jensen is a free agent in the offseason. No one has told Joe this but Joe just has a hunch if the Bucs cannot sign him to a new, short contract, Jensen will be franchise.

Who else would you trust to have Brady’s hands up his backside?

    Love it !

At one point on Thurs night they showed a close up of the infamous towels in his backside.

  2. geno711 Says:

Wow my favorite film ever on Jensen. The guy who put together the video should be his agent.
What was that about 12 plays of 60 in a game.

But good picking out the better plays for him.

  3. Bucamania Says:

Hargraves is no joke. Dude has been dominant. Well done Big Ginger!

  4. Chuckstutz Says:

Aikman noted during broadcast that Jensen is a 5th degree black belt in karate.

    A very bad mf.

  7. The Beer Whisperer Says:

Not that it means anything, but Jensen is my favorite.
Bucs have primo o-liners. All of them, as far as I’m concerned.
But Jensen is just a mean dude, on the football field, lol

  8. Ieatliverwurst Says:

It’s a shame we won’t be able to resign him

  9. JGhotier Says:

    Chuckstutz,

    It’s Taekwondo, not Karate

Jensen and Godwin are more important to bring back next year than JPP or Suh (w/ limited Salary Cap space and all being impending FA’s), IMO

  10. Chuckstutz Says:

    But I can’t spell taikwando
    ^^^^

  13. richbucsfan Says:

He is Brady’s protector in more ways than one. When he threw the interception one of the Eagles’ Dlineman was trying to rough up Brady. Jensen came over and got him away from Brady.

  14. Rob In Land O Lakes Says:

His enforcer hockey name would be Jensen McSorley

  15. Cainishere Says:

Hey Dolores Ill add the sound for ya. Down seeeet . . . . Hike “Grunt Punch Grunt Grunt OWW MY LEG!! Grunt Grunt Stupid mother father Grunt Grunt I’ll bust you . . . . Grunt Ow” I hope that enhanced your video pleasures.

Was looking for video of that and couldn’t find it! Jensen was ready to flatten the guy.

  19. Miller5252 Says:

Jensen is a guy you want on your team setting the tone and taking care of Brady. That play Joe was looking for us right here. Jensen has really gone above and beyond of what I thought was going to happen after that first year. Need him back and I’m sure Brady will do everything to get him back.

    [Thank you Miller5252! — Joe]

  20. SB Says:

    …………………….

I think you meant ‘offense’ Joe.

  21. B-Bro Says:

Jensen is no doubt the enforcer if there’s any crap going down he’ll be there to help/settle the situation if not already involved. Thursday when Brady threw that pic and the ahole D guy was trying to get shots on Brady and who showed up to protect his QB Sir Jensen. That D guy knew if he touch QB 12 again he’d be grass and Jensen would be the lawnmower 😉

  22. Kev@Inverness Says:

The anchor of the Bucs best o-line group ever. Look at how many times he’s blocking at the second level/downfield.

  23. Mike Says:

That was some good work by Jensen! Against the #3 pass defense no less…

  24. LakelandSteve Says:

I don’t know if he will get it but Jensen is playing at an all pro level

  25. Cobraboy Says:

Not sure I understand the “soul of the defense” remark. Typo?

  26. Buc Higgins Says:

“The Bucs center is sort of the soul of the defense.” Um, say what?
