Classic 2nd round pants crapping from Licht.

  2. Dewey Selmon Says:

Yeah! we got an extra 4th round pick. guess what? we gave up a second round pick. doesn’t seem even does it? Bill fleeced us again.

  3. JimmyJack Says:

I gave him a B just based on track record. I know next to nothing about these picks.

  4. JimmyJack Says:

We didn5 give up a 2nd round pick? We swapped

  5. Buc_Lightning Says:

F’s really? Some people must live some miserable lives.

  6. Licht’s Out Says:

Sleeping on 2 second rounders last night wasn’t a good thing. Licht did his best impression of Tommy Boy tearing apart the dinner rolls like jojo the indian circus boy…

  7. NJBUC Says:

Akrum Wadley RB from Iowa still on the board grab him in the 4th… much better than Charles Sims…. i think Alabama’s Safety Harrison is also on the board… i’d double up on RBs

  8. Eric Says:

I’d say Best Player available was not in play today. Unlike yesterday.

Weird draft if you ask me. May be great but sort of odd the way it unfolded.

  9. Blake_Bucsfan Says:

I gave him a D for passing on 2 players with 1st round talent.

I can see the appeal for Ronald Jones, home-run hitters are always appealing. Guice as a player is a superior prospect.

But this MJ Stewart over Isiah Oliver? Wtf is Licht thinking?

  10. JimmyJack Says:

Guice is tough to argue BPA. There Obvisously big risk issuses involved there. Did you see how many other teams passed on him and chose RB?

  11. JabooBuc Says:

so many dummies here… Stewart pick might be questionable but everything else has been dead on. We now have depth on the DL and in the Secondary. Jones is a great pick (Guice will be out of the league in 3 years).

Could use a SS and then grab as many OLine as you can.

  12. SOEbuc Says:

A–/B++. Really like the Jones II pick to go along with Barber. Stewart came out of left field but Jason’s a good scout and he’s All-ACC and I am not gonna hate till I see him play. Like Carlton Davis pick while getting another 4th. If anything we added good secondary depth with one of these guys gonna be starting #2 CB this year.

  13. JimmyJack Says:

And I think risk is a factor in that B that stands for Best.

  14. BlogTalkFootball Says:

There were better players at all the poditions that we picked when we picked, but time will tell.

  15. Tampabaybucfan Says:

If we had chosen 2 punters instead of 2 CB as Joe has suggested….I would have given it an F…..otherwise…..a B.

  16. Bucs Guy Says:

I trust Licht but he has a problem in the 2nd round. Jones was a terrible pick. Soft, can’the block or catch anything except a bubble screen. Played poor in the biggest games. Stewart seems questionable as a CB. Maybe we use him as a Safety. Carter I’m OK with. Wish we would have taken any other RB (Carryon), DB Oliver and Bates III.

  17. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    STEWART WILL PLAY SAFETY!

  18. ChanEpic Says:

B- wish we’d have gotten Tyrell Crosby instead of a project CB.

  19. Dreambig Says:

I think Jason got a little too ahead of himself here. Most of the picks between where we were and where we picked were DBs. That potentially means we gave up better potential starters for another middle of the road player.

  20. JimmyJack Says:

Do a third round poll now bro!

  21. SpaceCoastJustin Says:

by now Joe should be on his way to light candles for the 2 DBs drafted by the Bucs.

  22. Eric Says:

Might be a dummy but before the ticker tape parade I’d like to see some winning football out of the team Licht assembles.

I do like the running back with all his explosive plays. Hope it translates.

As for these secondary guys, meet Mr. Brees gentleman. Good luck.

  23. Bucs Guy Says:

Giving Licht an A for 1st Rd and a C- for round 2. Only thing keeping it from being a D is at least he addressed the positions needed.

  24. BlogTalkFootball Says:

Tampa traded up into the 3rd round and they immediately went to commercial.

  25. ChanEpic Says:

    Test

  26. Bucs Guy Says:

Hate the Jones pick. It’ll soon be realized he’s soft, can’t catch or block.

  27. JabooBuc Says:

    Alex Cappa

  28. SB Says:

    LOL @ the Debbie Downers.
It is fun to pretend you could have done better with the info you are equipped with isn’t it. 🙂

  29. SB Says:

Just In Alex Cappa the newest Buc!

  30. BoJim Says:

    Back into the round.

  31. Blake_Bucsfan Says:

Jones wasn’t my guy but I get the pick. Davis and Cappa are both Good. But I despise the MJ Stewart pick.

    Overall I’d give Licht a B minus.

  32. JimmyJack Says:

300 pounder!! We just got big baby!!

  33. BlogTalkFootball Says:

Nice pick for the guard… a mauler! Changed my grade to A!

  34. BushidoEvans Says:

Licht came into the draft with 1 2nd and no 3rd, ends up with 3 2nds and a third and still has a 4th and 5th. He’s trash at his job though?

  35. BucFanInNc Says:

MJ Stewart can ball ladies, you’ll be eating your words soon.

  36. Mike in LOL Says:

Voted b at first but change it to an A for the OG in the 3rd. I’m optimistic about the CBs, they are both nasty from what I heard, our defense just went from pillowy soft to nasty as hell with all these offseason additions

  37. Rod Munch Says:

I’d give Licht a D, not impressed with these 2nd rounders, no value picks, seems like a lot of reaches, no complete players, lots of boom or bust guys, still has Chris Conte as a starter.

Then again getting the two 2nd rounders got the Bucs extra picks so they could move around, so that’s good.

Maybe it’s more of a C-, but I have no idea how you’d give any higher than that right now. But Licht has earned some benefit of the doubt, so hopefully it works out.

  38. Doctor Stroud Says:

Grading how the Bucs drafted at this point is premature at best. What we can say for certain is that Licht has checked all the boxes for need. So far, he has overhauled the defensive line (with the help of free agency) and secondary, solidified the offensive line, and chose the running back of the future. These were problem areas, and he addressed them. So, he should get an A/B for that. However, we won’t know for a while (1-3 years) whether he chose the right players.
