Koetter Reveals Where His Godfather Painting Is

September 30th, 2017

Dirk Koetter talks Stick Carriers gift

In the world of the Stick Carriers fan group, winning head coach Dirk Koetter is known only as “The Godfather.”

That’s why he was presented with a stunning painting of him in a Godfather pose at Training Camp Takeover Day in August. Koetter loved it, as he should have, and the painting was a big hit with many fans. It even was passed around on that day.

So where the hell is the painting now? Koetter was asked this week on the Buccaneers Radio Network. He explained that he keeps it in a special place.

“As we speak right now, that painting is sitting on a chair in my office at home. And when I walk in that office, I usually have the lights off, and it usually scares the crap out of me,” Koetter said. “‘I’m goin’, ‘What’s that guy doing here?'”

You what Joe would like to see? Joe would like to see that painting on the Bucs’ sideline for every home game. And if Tampa Bay wins, then Koetter would march over to Section 119, gameday home to many (but nowhere near all) of the Stick Carriers, and lift the painting over his head in a victory stance. The fans would go nuts.

Put that thing to good use, Coach!

Good at least he knows where it is when the Glazers show him the door. Take that with you and Licht too.

    !!!!!!THIS!!!!!!!

  5. cmurda Says:

Not happening Buddy. Keep hating but Koetter and Licht are here to stay. He’s a great coach. Love that dude.

  6. SB Says:

We have to WIN before he is able to do this I think.

  7. JonBuc Says:

Licht’s out and DK too if they finish less than 8-8…

  8. cmurda Says:

We are 2 games in to the season. Forget who will be on the hot seat. Dirk’s a great coach and you will all be riding the bandwagon soon enough.

  9. JonBuc Says:

There’s one bandwagon I’m already on…the CMurda bookkeeping/tax return extraordinaire!

  10. cmurda Says:

Huh. Ok, I’ll take it I guess.

Some Bucs fans are incredibly stupid. Buddy

Cmurda, Maze… If Winston doesn’t progress this season, with the money that was diverted to the offensive side of the football, Koetter and Licht need to worry. Facts are the Glazers are minimally two years away from stroking a $100 mil+ contract. Franchise QB’s are really tough to find and the #1 reason Koetter was retained was to develop Winston. Winston will see a second coach before Koetter gets another QB. Koetter is playing a dangerous game with him.

Remember before the year when Ira/Joe had talked about the possibility of a Chucky return? I thought it was utter nonsense when I heard them talking about this. Now, well, I think there is about a 15% chance of Chucky returning.

There are some tendencies I wonder about with Jameis. Is he focusing on his favorite receivers and not seeing the OJ’s and Godwins that are open and can extend plays even with short passes. Pass blocking has to be better for Jameis, to
give him time for plays to develope and go through his progressions. One thing that concerns me is defensive players are busting through the line and preventing rollouts which could add some wrinkles to our offense.

I would not look for Chuckie to develope a young QB,he likes veteran quarterbacks.

Where did you come up with “winning head coach Dirk Koetter” Joe? What has he won? we haven’t even won our division yet?? Explain please!

  15. JimBuc2 Says:

JonBuc and Buddy, you guys are clueless dolts. In Licht we trust. The Godfather walks on water, heals the lame and gives sight to the blind. You guys should kneel, kiss his hand and grovel backwards from the room.

    @ JimBuc2:

Not bad…not bad at all. I like Koetter as an OC and Licht as a scout. The jury remains out in their current gigs…especially on Licht’s Out. His repeat of a 2nd round flop may be his undoing in Tampa. Now he probably has to pay Martin “full freight” by not addressing the RB position in free agency, the draft or a trade ( yet ).

Fair weather fans omg…. yall need to be beat with a bmfs…

  18. JonBuc Says:

A decade of mostly disasterous football ( not to mention the 80’s & early 90’s ) makes many fans sick…big sticks/limp noodles or not.

    @JonBuc
Thanks man, I respect the props. Allegorical reference can paint a large picture with a small brush. I think we will be fine this year, barring injury to Fameis. Playoff talk is premature IMO, but I’m still all in for a great season. Thanks again.
