Bucs Defense Shredded With Injuries

September 24th, 2017

Bucs LB Lavonte David on a cart headed towards Bucs locker room following the loss to Minnesota Sunday.

This is like some kind of hospital emergency room.

Joe was in the locker room and spoke to players and man, what a sad scene. Joe doesn’t think he’s ever seen something so depressing.

Joe noticed Lavonte David being carted into the locker room and unable to walk under his own power. He needed two trainers/stadium employees to get to the locker room.

Then, the cart David was on pulled back up to the locker room front door and was being cleaned off ass Joe noticed Gerald McCoy walking gingerly to the cart. He was hauled away to somewhere unknown. It appeared GMC has some sort of right ankle injury, as seen on TV, too, this is just eyeball speculation.

Then when Joe walked into the locker room he talked to Noah Spence who told Joe on the first play of the game his shoulder blew out on him, the same one he wrecked his season last year.

Even Vernon Hargraves had giant bandages all over his lower right leg. Geez.

And this isn’t even factoring in what’s wrong with Brent Grimes or about Kwon Alexander’s injury or Robert Ayers injury, which isn’t clear. Or T.J. Ward’s hip injury.

Who knows how long these guys will be out? And this is the meat of the Bucs defense.

And the Bucs play both the Giants and Belicheats in the next 11 days.

    But was Ryan Smith OK?

  2. Fartman Says:

    this team is cursed

  3. RayJameisStadium Says:

Boy do Martin has leverage now or what?!?!?!?

  4. JG Says:

Who cares if Ryan smith is ok? Cut him.

  5. DB55 Says:

I don’t know if you ever get better from noah’s injury I think that’s a lagging injury tht takes years to heal. It did for me

  6. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Darrelle Revis time.

And trust me…I hate saying that…

Same thing was said of GMC’s first two years. HE COULD get better. Or not. Either way, that guy is heading to IR. He’s done for the year.

  8. Rod Munch Says:

Bonzai – I agree with you on Reavis, but they would have had to do that in the preseason, which they should have done after seeing Ryan Smith get burned over and over and over again against Cincinnati.

  9. LifeOfABucFan Says:

Bonzai..I think it’s not a bad idea at this point..lol..

  10. DCBUCSFAN Says:

Well, the annual Bucs injury fest didn’t take long! All this underwear football and playing touch has ruined the game. As soon as they get contact, they’re hurt because they’re not used to it!

  11. Eric Says:

Let’s just admit it. We’re done already.

    We’re already way behind Atlanta.

A team destined to win the division wins this type of game.

Might as well tank and get a decent coach in here. This guy is an Atlanta retread. In way over his head.

And what happened to the super importance of resigning Smith? Another Falcons retread.

    Sickening sickening sickening.

  12. unbelievable Says:

8 starters / main contributing players…. not good for us.

  13. Dave Says:

I’m done with this. First you got to put up with the political crap before the game, then they put on that garbage show on the field. Now half the defense is already hurt.

Gonna be a very long year.

  14. Eric Says:

The only question is when the excuses start flowing. Hurricane. Kneeling controversy. Injuries.

    It’s all coming.

I’m getting my boat ready. Why to torture myself watching these losers.

  15. Capt. Blighe Says:

Hargraves is the one who pisses me off. Fastest backpeddler in the league.
The Vikes stopped throwing in front of VH3 at times because they didn’t want Koetter to catch on and pull him. Hargraves is always a free firstdown.
    And Strap your gloves assh#@$

  16. tnew Says:

The Bucs have to look harder at their off season program. I know Koetter likes them fresh, but is fresh and ready for contact one in the same? Its not a criticism, yet, but an observation.

  17. Jeagan1999 Says:

Time to raid a few practice squads for help.

  18. lurker Says:

has joe ever been in an emergency department?

  19. Bucfanbf Says:

The sky is falling, the sky is falling. It must be true, apparently the Christian math guru who predicted Planet X hitting the planet was way off when in fact Planet X hit the Bucs instead.
What a pitiful performance from a team that is not ready for prime time. With the defensive injuries we have now and the lack of depth we are in deep impact tough and it is truly Armageddon around here regardless of where Planet X is. The apocalypse has arrived at One Buc!!!

  20. SteelStudBuc Says:

At least Grimes, Swaggy and Kwon didn’t get hurt today. And the offense is relatively healthy. As long as Winston doesn’t turn the ball over next week they have a chance

The first positive comment all post long…this person deserves some sort of a prize, Joe.

  22. NFLNut Says:

    People are soooo dumb ….

  23. Wolfet Says:

Adversity reveals charachter and some of you have no ability to deal with adversity. We lost a game, we have injuries. We are a good team and there will be better teams. go Bucs!

  24. BigPoppaBuc Says:

I turned the game on and heard the final injury report…then the game happened. This defensive roster is getting wiped clean. It’s terrible and unlucky. Time for Winston to step up and carry this team. No way around it.

  25. Eric Says:

If any fan base has dealt with adversity it is ours…..

  26. I'm a Tandyman Bucs Fan Says:

    Suck

  27. I'm a Tandyman Bucs Fan Says:

Tandy hardly sees the field today. Wow after what he did last year. Guess Conte and Wards the answer. Looked like to me we are in for another long and disappointing season! Talk about loyalty… Think Smith and Kotter need to rethink even if they are in 8 million with the 2 safety’s that played today if they want to win!!! Defense looked very bad today against a Backup QB… Glad Bradford didn’t play!

  28. GhosofSchiano Says:

Have to admit, the vikes O-line and front 7 are one of the top 5 we will face all year. Like our chances next week vs the midgets and belicheats

  29. Greg Says:

With who playing defense, a bunch of practice squad retreads??? Ghosofschiano, you are a dumba$$!

  30. Pa Privateer Says:

Umm, the Bears were wrecked last week with injuries and they beat the Steelers today. I am not sure how many players they got back, but the Bears came out and played today.

we have used Elliot and Hey jude and other before, we can do it again. We still have Kwon, Beckwith, Bond, and Glanton at LB. Swaggy can play and hopefully Jac Smith will be ready. These guys will be asked to come in and play. We are no worse off than when they played before. I don’t like it, but there it is….

If the offense steps up to be exactly what the talent “can be” then we just become an offensive heavy team. Many of you do not want to hear it said, but Martin coming back soon may completely reinvigorate this offense.

  31. Clw JB Says:

It’s one game people calm the heck down!

  32. BoJim Says:

Man, the bye week can’t come soon enough. JK. O.K. backups, time to step up. Wouldn’t it be cool if our backups turned us around real quick? Nawwwwww. Seriously, we are only 1-1. Like Clw JB said, “calm the fxxk down”.

  33. Mike Johnson Says:

Wko caresif you are the walking wounded? Not the 31 other competitors! Next man up baby! Plug in the #2’s and let the chips fall where they may. Other teams do it and…WIN! Why can’t we? I know why…Because we are the…SOB’s (same ole Bucs)!!!! Ruck up Bucs..you got 15 consecutive games to play.
