Mike Evans Needs To Grow Up

January 3rd, 2016
Knock it off!

Knock it off!

Gee, mouthy Stinking Panthers stud cornerback Josh Norman got into Mike Evans’ head today. And as a result, Evans got run out of the game.

Gee, who could have guessed that? Why, Joe did on Friday.

And Evans, after seeing how Odell Beckham mentally got taken out of his game by Norman, actually wished for Norman to come after him. And look at what happened.

Look, Evans is a gifted receiver. Excellent. But he has two missions he needs to accomplish this offseason in no particular order: Work on catching the ball, and for crying out loud, get your friggin’ head in the game!

Quit whining at refs! Quit crying for flags!

Quit pretending you are being penalized on each and every play. And damn it to hell, grow the ‘eff up!

Evans can be a superstar if he gets his head out of his rear end and just worries about one thing and one thing only: catch the friggin’ ball!

This team is so undisciplined.

Lovie Smith Needs To Be Fired should be a headline as well.

    Fire the clown

He’s as immature as they come.

But to be honest, lots of players whine to the refs and I’ve never seen 2 different penalties enforced for mouthing off to a ref before. They hate the Bucs, always have and always will.

If he was gonna get ejected, I wish he would have punched the ref in the face first! A little payback for years of being shafted by the zebras.

Wait, I thought showing passion made you a leader and a competitor, right?

difference between passion and stupidity, troll

    Amen Joe

Who’s fault is it that Evans and the team is undisiplined? Why, that would be Lovie Dovie! A good coach would not let a cancer to continue to grow. Lovie has seen this since week one. Have you noticed any change? Nope Lovie needs to go for this team to ever amount to anything.

I ain’t mad at Mike at least he showed some fight in him. Everybody else kinda just layer down acept LVD

  9. Lovie Is Dog Poo Says:

Dope. Another mentally soft player from a mentally soft team culture.

  10. Clodhopper Says:

We don’t have to worry about him getting NFL man of the year award. That for damn sure. First you have to be a man. That guy doesn’t have a clue on what it takes to be a man.

  11. NotHappyToday Says:

Mike Evans is a thug, punk that blew up because Norman was beating him. Mike needs to understand what a classless child he looked like. On a positive note, we should go after Norman in FA. The guy is clearly the best DB in the game.

  12. BrianBucs Says:

This is what happens when your team is so bad that you draft and sign lots of 20-21 year olds and play them immediately.
NFL football is a man’s game and you’re playing with a bunch of kids

  13. Vincente Says:

They might be kids now but give them time and they will grow up. Patience is required here.

  14. Rrsrq Says:

Losing does that. These guys will get together this offseason and realize what it takes to become professionals

  15. Sentimentalist Says:

I’m veeeerrryy disappointed in Mike Evans.

  16. Sentimentalist Says:

Patience? The writing is on the wall. Was (past tense) a big fan of Evans, but this year, wow! What a disappointment.

  17. Deminion Says:

I’m not mad at mike he is frustrated and wants to win!!! Plus he doesn’t get any calls… Seem like the young guys wanna win everyone is just ok with getting a check

  18. lurker Says:

    lol, joe

your definition of excellent is waaayyy different than mine!

  19. Sentimentalist Says:

Mike couldn’t catch the ball this year and resorted to whining. The refs have been in his head all year and he never could shake them. Sorry but u can’t accept that.

  20. PhillyBuc Says:

    Fire Lovie

  21. Tim Says:

Agree with pretty much everything you said Joe. The dude has the potential to be a great player. Really I think he’s already a great player. But this off-season I hope he can put it all together and take that next step. Will be fun watching him and Winston . But he needs to start catching the ball more consistently. And stop with the crying.

  22. Trubucfan22 Says:

Mike put up 99 yards on Norman. And he would have had a TD is Norman didn’t hold him on the play Evans got kicked out of game. I have no problems with this. Evans is a young passionate guy. He will mature over time. Winston is mostly the same way. He is always yacking at the refs. Evans obviously crossed a line with what he said. But he’s young and passionate. Don’t ever lose your Passion Mike. It’s what drives players. Sometimes it can be focused in bad areas. But you can’t just stop being passionate.

  23. godzilla13 Says:

Trubucfan22 Says: Well said. Evans will mature and be an All-Pro someday. He has 11 passes dropped while Demaryius Thomas and Ted Gin Jr have 10 so its not the end of the world. If this team is going to be great we need players like Evans to play to their full potential. He has no mentor and the coaching sure isn’t helping.

  24. Johncurtis Says:

Discipline starts with coaching. He would never have gotten away with that under Schiano. We need a real head coach in there!
