Talib Roasted Today By Mike Williams

August 13th, 2013

The fun has started in New England, where the Bucs are practicing with the Patriots. Finally, the teams have squared off against each other after typical non-fun stuff at practice.

Veteran Tampa Tribune Bucs beat scribe Woody Cummings is there and Twittered news that will bring smiles to Bucs fans. A certain helmet-wielding, cabbie-slugging, Adderrall-popping, coach-cussing, referee-charging, pistol-friendly, granny-hassling cornerback got roasted.

@RCummingsTBO – Bucs WR Mike Williams also won a battle very handily with former Buc Aqib Talib, leaving him on the ground with a nice juke

Oh, the trash talk that must have ensued. Actually, Williams gives a lot of credit to Talib for his development as a receiver.

Joe will bring you more reports out of Foxborough throughout the day.

Ha! lol good stuff. Get me Mike will!

  2. mpmalloy Says:

I know the stories behind all of Talib’s surnames
    except “Granny-Hassling”.
What’s the story behind that one?

    Thanks!

  3. Mitch Says:

I think its a reference to when Talib got into a minor car accident with an older woman driver and later she tried to sue him in civil court because he allegedly threatened her saying, something along the lines of, “ill bust a cap in yo’ ass.”

  4. Joe Says:

Well done, Mitch. You know your Bucs history.

  5. ShutTheBucUp Says:

Most of his other tweets aren’t too encouraging so far…

  6. Jeff Says:

Bucs will go 4-12 and games will be blacked out, and like the Rays they will bolt from Tampa, Tampa is a horrible sports market

  7. Buc'n Junkie Says:

With as many ex-patriots on our team and a few ex-Bucs on their team it’s starting to look like the Tampa Bay Patriots or the New England Buccaneers. lol..

It sure seems there is more to this Schiano/Belicheat friendship. Do they secretly have an agreement to unilaterally share developing players amongst each-other. A collaboration to keep their own top prospects to themselves.
    Nah… it’s just a coincidence!

After going over his tweets myself. Perhaps your comment should read like this.

SOME (not most) of his other tweets aren’t too encouraging so far…

  9. bucrightoff Says:

We talking bout practice…with no hitting even.

  10. BucFanInArkansas Says:

Jeff, you need to have your crystal ball calibrated (preferably at a shop in another state, and presumably the one from whence you came). While we all await your exit (which will certainly come before that of either of the aforementioned teams), maybe you can do some research and read some of Joe’s previous posts on exactly WHY the very notion that the Bucs would leave is “patently absurd.”

  11. Sneedy16 Says:

Who is the Jeff guy anyways?

  12. Buc1987 Says:

I don’t know sneedy…the other day he predicted a 5-11 season so he’s going backwards now. Could be Mean D or Realist in disguise. That would make sense.

  13. Sneedy16 Says:

That wouldn’t shock me Buc1987. A few people have made multiple accounts on here just to make their opinions sound legit. This Jeff claim that the Rays left Tampa. When have they been in Tampa? Do your research before making statements.

  14. Jeff Says:

Why would they leave lol, lets review shall we…. First of all no one cares about them other then you 20 or so losers with no job who follow your savior Joe.. Also, they are looking at 6 more home games blacked out at least, they will be playing either in LA or London by 2017

  15. Buc1987 Says:

Sneedy I’ve been saying for 10 years now that they need to move to Tampa.

  16. Buc1987 Says:

@ Jeff why are you such a f ((Edited for foul language))) hole?

  17. McBuc Says:

Sneedy is right. The Rays are not bolting from Tampa, they are looking at moving to Tampa.

  18. Sneedy16 Says:

I would be great if they moved to Tampa. I’m tired of the question “If they are the Tampa Bay Rays. Why are they in St. Pete?” They would need a retractable dome like the Astros have. Too many random rainy days would cause a lot of delayed and canceled games.

  19. Tim Says:

Guys jus ignore this Jeff guy, he is nothing more than an ignorant troll crying out for attention. His parents likely did not hug him enough when he was a child.

On topic I will just quote A.I. “We’re talking about practice, man. Practice.”

    P.S.

A.I. is Allen Iverson, Jeff and P.S. stands for post script. I didn’t want you to hurt your little mind trying to google those.

  20. Buc1987 Says:

I predict 5-6 televised home games. Easy. Going by what RJS looked like on Thursday nights pre-season game. It was damned near close to the 85% they needed and it was only pre-season. I think ticket sales have been going very well.

  21. chipbuc Says:

Hey Jeff like John Tortorella would say, shut yer yap!!!!!!!

  22. scubog Says:

Don’t ya just love these people? Joe, your site is becoming the wall in the junior high Boys Room.
