Photos From Bucs OTA

Here are photos Joe took at Bucs practice today during the opening 30-minute window that permits photography. Joe was using a Galaxy 4. Most photos are cropped. Joe can only get so close to the fields (yes, the Bucs use up to four fields at a time during practice) without violating boundaries.

People who say the NFL doesn’t have full-time referees are conning you. Referees are a common sight at Bucs practices.

Pablo is curios if those are real refs ? Where is Ed Hocculi? Also Pablo is curious what was the number of flags thrown today ?

Why would we need refs there….Goldson is out?

    Thank you, Joe!

For the Glennon Mob, Josh still looked better than MG8, but MG8 was better on his accuracy so someone is working on his footwork. He next needs to speed up his pass release. If he keeps improving maybe Houston will offer a high pick without waiting for Preseason where his lack of mobility will stick out like a sore thumb! Liked the pictures Joe!

    Thanks Joe!

Was that orange jersey McCown was wearing the new Bucs orange style jersey or was that just a throwback? Didn’t see the whole thing.

Fantastic. No one else offers us this kind of insight. Thanks Joe(s)

    None of the above.

Quarterbacks often wear different colored jerseys in practice (all teams, NFL and college, not just the Bucs) as a reminder to defenders not to touch them. Same quarterback practice jerseys were worn under Schiano. If memory serves Joe correctly, with Raheem quarterbacks wore green jerseys.

Oh ok sweet Thanks Joe, I saw a pic the other day that was the new style but orange, do you know if that’s a real thing or was that just a photoshop?

Quarterbacks are wearing orange practice jerseys. Again, same as last couple of years. This is a common practice throughout football, NFL and college. Teams always have quarterbacks wear a different colored jersey in practice to remind defenders not to touch them. Could be red, orange, green, purple, yellow. Just depends on the team’s normal jersey colors.

Yea I understand, It was not a pic of a QB it was specifically a pic showing one of the new uni’s but in orange that a fan posted somewhere. I’m guessing from your response that it was definitely a photoshop job just trying to show what the “new style throwback” could be lol.

    They are real officials.

Joe – curious as to why you’re taking pictures with the smartphone. Does the organization have a rule against media carrying DSLRs or CSCs at these practices and walk-throughs?

No. There is a 30-minute window where photos/video can be shot.

Joe has an SLR camera but doesn’t feel like dragging that, and binoculars, and sun screen, and a notebook and a laptop outside with him each practice.

Not sure what a “CSC” is.

  15. CA_BucsFan Says:

CSC = Compact System Camera. Sometimes called “mirrorless cameras”.

Significantly smaller bodies and lenses (which you can still swap) than DSLRs, but no traditional viewfinder since it’s missing the mirror. Everything is done on the rear LCD screen. Kind of the best of both worlds.

Worth a look if you’re considering upgrading your gear for training camp.
