Revis Going Through Concussion Tests

Last week Bucs stud cornerback Darrelle Revis messed up his shoulder against the Panthers and was knocked out of the game, the second time he had to leave the field for an injury in as many games.

Today, Revis revealed it wasn’t just his shoulder that was hurt in the loss to the Stinking Panthers. So too was his head, sort of.

Revis confessed he “banged” his head. In fact, it was more than a bang. Revis thought he was out cold, though briefly.

“I will be alright,” Revis said. “I also banged my head on the play so I have to go through the whole concussion testing and I am fine now. I passed the test. I guess they’re saying that I got knocked out for a second and then I came back. I am fine, though.”

Good thing for the Bucs. The Bucs need a win. Bucs commander Greg Schiano needs a win. One way for the Bucs to beat the bungling Bills is to have a savvy veteran like Revis expose Bills rookie quarterback EJ Manuel.

    He is pulling a Freeman.

    With “Freeman like symptoms.”

By next year the verdict should be known whether Revis is healed enough to warrant his salary. Until then the jury is out.

not to be callous, but if you’re going to suffer an injury or a series of injuries, this now-meaningless season is the time to do it. get it all out of your system this year boys, hopefully everyone is nice and fresh for training camp and has 19-20 healthy games in them for 2014. for what it’s worth, the key guys going on IR this year are dealing with much less severe injuries than what guys were trying to come back from last year. i imagine that guys like doug martin & mike williams will be ready in plenty of time for minicamps, and davin, revis, and clayborn will have gotten that problematic (for guys not named Adrian Peterson) first year post-ACL out of the way. looking forward to a fully healthy connor barth, carl nicks (?), and johnthan banks as well

1,000,000.00 per game has not been earned by the results seen on the field. Bucs have paid a great deal for free agents and it just hasn’t produced the results.

Is it just me or does it seem like V-Jax is running lazy routes lately. Dare I say the “Q’ word? Maybe he is getting frustrated, I get that, but he is getting paid a great deal of money to run good routes, not get caught from behind. He’s getting paid 11,000.000.00 this year if I’m not mistaken.

@seanymac – you do realize that he’s the only weapon we have right? They’re blanketing him and double covering him all the time because behind him we have scrubs in our receiving group
