Spence is done. Career over. Licht definitely whiffed on that draft

  2. GreG Says:

To think we could’ve had Guice

  3. Rob Says:

An awful lot of draft picks not suiting up…

  4. LakeLand Says:

I have been begging for answers all week long about Noah Spence. Not one reporter in the Bay Area has an answer. Joe has plenty of answers but not provided for sharing publicly. Don’t count on the guy. That should have been obvious after Week 1. –Joe

    Ronald Jones
    38th draft pick
    Noah Spence
    39th draft pick

  5. LakeLand Says:

    Thanks Joe

  6. BuccaneEric75 Says:

The best thing for us and Spence is for him to slim back down to around 245-250 and be trade bait for a 3-4 team. If we could get a 4th for him I’d pull the trigger immediately. I’m sure he knows that his best fit is at 3-4 OLB. His career is far from over, it’s just over in a 4-3. He tried his ass off to do what the staff has asked of him, lose weight, gain weight, he just didn’t fit. I wish him luck wherever he ends up, just not when he plays us.

  7. webster Says:

Yea guice would have been so much better on ir. Smdh

  8. GoBux Says:

Spence is a bust, Vea is looking like a wasted pick, and Jones can’t play the pro game apparently. Licht might want to find a good realtor to put his home up for sale.

  9. Doctor Stroud Says:

It might be too late, but they just need to get creative with Noah Spence. The coaches don’t think that he can play the DE position in the NFL, so turn him into a strong side OLB.

  10. Bird Says:

    Webster

    That’s pretty funny

  11. BuccaneEric75 Says:

GreG, you mean the same Guice that is out for the year and wouldn’t help us either. Nothing towards you, but the people who complain about Vea being out and that we could have had Derwin are the same ones who complain about RoJo and wish we had the guy who won’t play at all this season. Just make up your minds and stay consistent. SMH

  12. passthebuc Says:

we do very good on 3rd, 4&5th picks. so we trade all our 1s and 2s for a host full of 3s. We save a lot of money and end up with players trying to prove something

  13. Bird Says:

    Apparently ROJO has no MOJO

  14. passthebuc Says:

Ernie, I believe that was tongue and cheek.

  15. cmurda Says:

ROJO being inactive ticks me off. Everybody rushing to judgment on a guy that has run behind an offensive line in the preseason which is mainly comprised of men that aren’t in the NFL anymore. The 65 year old slow-footed Quiz is active though. Whew.

  16. LakeLand Says:

After Saquon Barkley, Sony Michel, Nick Chubb, I thought the rest of the running backs in the draft was 3rd or 4th round talent at best.

  17. Gambelero Says:

I think they were planning to work RoJo in, but Quizz and Barber are playing too well. And Wilson is returning kicks (and to be truthful, he way outplayed Jones in camp).

Clarke over Spence is a different story. A guy is cut, 31 other teams pass on him, but he’s re-signed and active over Spence? It may be that we see Philly’s run game as more problematic than Foles’ pass game, and the stouter Clarke is pretty good against the run. Still, Spence only played four snaps against a team that threw 85% of the time last week.

  18. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I hear that Vita Vea wanted to play this week, and was mad that they told him no. Apparently, he got the go from doctors but it came late in the week, so they want to see him in practice first.

Vea was extremely mad over it.

If you can find video of him arriving for the game, you can see the anger in his face. The man is going to unleash fury when he does play, probably week 3, but definitely week 4 at latest.

  19. Gambelero Says:

Also, on RoJo, if Wilson and Barber become stars as UDFA free agents, a tandem like Freeman and Coleman, who cares if we whiffed on McPlaybook and RoJo?

  20. Bucamania Says:

Nassib is far better than Spence. Good pickup by Licht. At last the GM isn’y afraid to correct mistakes.

  21. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

As to a lot of rookies sitting, that’s to be expected since all the draft picks made the team. Especially this early.

  22. Kobe Faker Says:

“2 words for the Nowhere Spence dreamers(Lord Cornelius)”

    “Derek Barnett”

    Kobe Faker

  23. The Buc Realist Says:

While having NS57 inactive is dissappointing!!!!! It is not a surprise, as he has been struggling, and Philly might be bringing in a heavy dose of the run game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#trust the coaches!!!!!!!! Fix the “real” problem!!!! The roster!!!!!!!!!!!

    GO Bucs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  24. LakeLand Says:

Ronald Jones could still be dealing with his hamstring injury. We don’t know the facts of his injury.

  25. SB Says:

So our No1 pick AND our No2 pick are both inactive.
    It’s a Bucs life.

  26. Bucamania Says:

Man I hope Vita is ready to come back.

  27. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

How do you draft a kid in the 2nd round and then make him inactive the first two weeks of the season. It’s a Bucs life!

  28. LakeLand Says:

    Kobe Faker

Everyone know I was mad when they drafted Noah Spence. I thought they should have drafted WR Michael Thomas.

  29. LargoBuc Says:

2018 draft class is off to a slow start. 2016 getting close to an “F”.

  30. Easy Says:

Pump the brakes on the Vea/Jones hate train. It’s only 2 games

  31. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Alvin Scissors Harper Says
“How do you draft a kid in the 2nd round and then make him inactive the first two weeks of the season.”

    1 – He’s not starting
2 – When you have 3 2nd rounders, you cannot play them all

  32. Jbeachbuc Says:

    Fitz has all day!!
God bless this offense of line

  33. wint168 Says:

we should be up a lot more. Too many mistakes. OJ bumble, mike evans drop. at least 2 field goals there.

  34. wint168 Says:

question this week will be is the bucs d-fense that good or was the eagles offense that bad?

  35. lambchop Says:

    Spence hurt again?

  36. BoJim Says:

I kinda think it might be a little early to declare Lichts drafting of Vea and Rojo a waste. But what do I know. Duhhhhhh

  37. BoJim Says:

‘Joe has plenty of answers but not provided for sharing publicly. Don’t count on the guy. That should have been obvious after Week 1. –Joe’

Uh oh. That doesn’t sound good at all.

  38. Christopher Schiefen Says:

BuccaneEric75 I didn’t like RoJo on draft day (& said so publicly). I also wanted Derwin. My draft woulda been Derwin + Maurice Hurst later (& Bo Scarborough though I know he got cut).
