Five Bucs Did Not Practice Today

October 1st, 2026

Shows up on injury report.

Awfully long injury report for the first day of October.

Five Bucs did not practice today per the official injury report released this afternoon in advance of the Packers-Bucs game on Sunday at The Licht House.

OLB Rueben Bain (who has the interesting injury of “groin/shoulder”), ILB SirVoccea Dennis (calf/personal, not to be confused with a personal calf), TE Ko Kieft (elbow), QB Baker Mayfield (thumb) and CB Jacob Parrish (personal) all were out of practice.

OLB YaYa Diaby (calf/shoulder), RB Bucky Irving (glute), CB Benjamin Morrison (quad), DT Rakeem Nunez-Roches (ankle/foot), DT A’Shawn Robinson (rest) and CB Keionte Scott (toe) were all limited.

For whatever it is worth, Joe spoke with Morrison in the locker room after practice and he didn’t give any indication he is injured.

How many sacks were the know it alls predicting for Bain?

  3. HeartyDickerson Says:

It’s just so clear this football team doesn’t want to play football.

2 guys out for personal reasons? A month into the season?

I bet half these ‘injured’ players have medical clearance but pulled themselves.

The Licht House couldn’t be a darker place.

Jason has become the “MASH” draft master. Diaby is a bust. Bain is an overrated bust. Kancey is a bust. Vita cant drive by a Golden Corral without pulling in and eating half the food.
    Bucky is a bust.

  5. Greg-therealone Says:

Bain has played 2 games in the NFL. TWO. and you are declaring him a bust. Do us all a favor and throw your computer in the trash and go hide somewhere dark in shame.

Yaya Diaby was a third round pick and has 19 sacks. Thats not a bust and hes going to get paid.

Bucky? 1122 yards rushing and 392 receiving his rookie year? 588 last year in 10 games with another 277 receiving. Bust?

    Maybe you are drunk? High?

  6. Jb47 Says:

Maybe, just maybe guys aren’t reaching their potential because the coaching staff is terrible. So many talented players have regressed under Bowles. There’s a reason why so many backup guys on teams like the Rams, 49ers, Broncos are successful.

  7. Sam Says:

@greg-therealone the whole team is a bust buddy. What team have you been watching for the last 2 seasons plus. They stink. Maybe watch some other teams play and see what real offenses and defenses look like. Real coaching adjustments etc.

  8. Saskbucs Says:

Stop with the busy talk on most of these guys.

Our players are in the worst schemes under the worst coaches in the league.

I guarantee if Coen and his DC Pamphile or whatever his name is or Coen, Canales and some guy like Jim Schwartz was running the D… the Bucs would currently be talked about as contenders.

It’s never been more obvious than it is right now. You can’t evaluate the talent on this team fairly cause they have no chance out there doing what they are coached. Don’t listen to me, listen to GMC. We may not have liked things Gerald did while he was here but he was a good player and obviously he knows what he is talking about.

This roster is good. It has been WASTED by Bowles, now Robinson, the Glazers and unfortunately the guy who drafted or acquired these players in Licht… all cause they kept an incompetent defensive HC who currently has the 31st ranked overall pressure rate and 31st ranked pass rush when sending 4.

Wake up people. If I had a Time Machine (I’d be filthy rich and not care about any this) I would be doing everything in my power to go slap Licht and the Glazers upside the head and force them to keep Coen. Bucs would be enjoying success right now.

  9. Saskbucs Says:

    Bust talk* dang

  10. Capt.Tim Says:

    They don’t have to play?
    Lucky . . .

I said right after the draft. Anyone counting on Rookies to have an impact, knows nothing about the NFL.
Rookies take a year or two, to adjust to the speed and talent they face every game.
As I said in May. Counting on Rookies is hope. Not a plan.

Expect the injury list to grow. This team has quit.

  11. Saskbucs Says:

Don’t confuse those defensive stats I put out there as me blaming the D. I’m not. The offense has clearly been the problem this season.

But the Bucs problems are much larger than which side of the ball is to blame any given week.

The coaching rooms are rotten! It’s permeated through every aspect of this team. Bowles D has been fine, not the reasoning for losing right now, but it could certainly be better and these players people claim are busts would be showing us they are not cause they would be put in position to do what they do best and succeed!

  12. TampaBayBucsFan Says:

So….you think players with injuries should be forced to practice?

  13. King of Citrus Park Says:

Maybe Bowles is a genius by pumping up the injury report to get the spread higher so he can cover.

  14. JustOneGame Says:

I’d be interested in seeing the total number of players on the weekly injury prince Bowles was hired and where that number compares to the rest of the league. I could be completely wrong but I feel like we would have a few hundred thousand more than the next team

  15. D-Rome Says:

So….you think players with injuries should be forced to practice?

Most of the commenters have gone full retard.

  16. Ballwasher61 Says:

Lombardi walked into the first Packers injury room with guys getting various treatments and erupted like EVH. “Don’t you guys know you’ve got to play with the small hurts”? He prefaced that with hollering ‘What the Hell is going on here”?
Not that serious injuries should be overlooked but this team is looking like it’s mailing it in early. Easy to say in my chair but I mean, really, “What the hell is going on here”? My point is that the team is reflecting it’s coach, soft and full itself.

  17. Fred McNeil Says:

    C. On, fishhawkbuc. Braswell was a bust, but you didn’t mention him. Bucky has been pretty good so far. Kancey hasn’t played well so far this year, but he’s not exactly a bust. Bain has only played two games. Bowles and Zack are busts.

  18. JustVisiting Says:

I’m giving Bain amd Baker, at least, a full pass on their injuries. You just can’t be an edge rusher, or do anything intensely lateral, with a groin injury. And you can’t QB with an injured thumb on your throwing hand.

  19. Fanofdabucs Says:

Lot of dumb in this here comment section. Lots a dumb

Fishhawk should just stop watching football and definitely stop commenting.

  20. ElioT Says:

    Insert ‘everything is fine’ meme

  21. Steve V Says:

@ballsaksbuc..”Bowles D is fine but the coaching sucks” ..That makes a whole lotta sense!

  22. TampaBayBucFan Says:

    D-Rome

    That. Comment was sarcasm…..

  23. Steve V Says:

@D-Rome..No Fuc#!g doubt my friend! UGH!

  24. MonsVenusVIP Says:

Motrin and water. That’s all they need.

  25. Beeej Says:

I can imagine the caterwauling had we broken the bank to get Garret!
