Running Up The Score On The Browns
September 20th, 2026
The Bucs want Baker Mayfield happy, confident and steaming with confidence.
He’s their guy. It’s similar to how the Bucs always tried their best to keep Mike Evans happy and on track for his streak of 1,000-yard seasons.
So the gambler in Joe is wondering how much effort and attention to detail the Bucs will deliver today to get Mayfield the crushing blowout of the Browns he so desperately wants.
Joe has no doubt Mayfield wants a style-points win, one that gets national talking heads buzzing. “Oh, man, Baker took it to the Browns, 37-13, and look how he celebrated that last touchdown.”
Mayfield feels spurned by Cleveland after the franchise gave up on him after four seasons, 2018-2021. Cleveland traded him to Carolina and signed QB Deshaun Watson to a gargantuan contract. Ironically, Watson will start for Cleveland today, which surely had Mayfield’s attention.
Will the Bucs run up the score if the game goes a way that puts them in position to try? Did Mayfield try to affect the game plan this week for “bigger” plays early in the game?
Will Mayfield check to more “big-play” opportunities than usual at the line of scrimmage? Will Todd Bowles trend toward playing more aggressive defense late in the game if he has a comfortable lead in an atypical effort to get his offense back on the field?
It’s all very intriguing.
Joe’s not telling anyone how to wager. But when team’s are unusually motivated, good things usually happen.

Let’s hope the title ages well lol
Go Bucs!
September 20th, 2026 at 9:44 am
If Baker throws his fifth touchdown and the Bucs win by a stupid margin, Bowles should hand the game ball directly to the Browns’ front office.
September 20th, 2026 at 9:46 am
Right now I just would be happy with an error free game and comfortable win. God help us if we lose. The fire Bowels cries, will be deafening.
September 20th, 2026 at 9:48 am
Run up the score enough to bring Jalon to close the game. Keep Baker healthy.
LFG!!!!!!
September 20th, 2026 at 9:52 am
I speculate the “fire Bowles” crowd is really only about 15% of the fan base.
Sure, there’s lots of critics that come here to post, but they are not representative of all Bucs fans. Most fans just want to see the team win and support whoever is here while they’re here.
So, don’t get dragged into the mud by the keyboard warriors. The internet isn’t real life.
Go Bucs
September 20th, 2026 at 9:53 am
Run up the score? I just want a Tampa win without Bowles figuring out a way to lose the game.
September 20th, 2026 at 9:53 am
Our Oline was the worst in the league last week.
Especially Barton and Bredesen. They were pathetic
Mauch was bad- but he gets a pass. First game in a long time.
Wirfs played horrible. Goedeke looked good.
If the line can keep the brownies from from blindsiding Mayfield- netbe we have a chance.
If our unproven WR room can get open- Meybe Mayfield won’t have run.
Everyone beats the Browns. We lose to these smacks- then Glazers will have to break tradition, and make a coaching change now.
Think the highly overrated Zack Robinson can remember to run the ball, after quarter 1?
September 20th, 2026 at 9:56 am
Just Win Baby.
September 20th, 2026 at 9:57 am
There needs to be complete domination today. If we get beat by the creepy weirdo we will be the laughingstock of the NFL.
September 20th, 2026 at 9:58 am
We got this!!!!!
September 20th, 2026 at 10:00 am
Barton actually played pretty well. Bredeson had a rough game. They can certainly do better, though. This line should dominate. Really, both lines should. Let’s win the LOS on both sides of the ball this week emphatically.
September 20th, 2026 at 10:01 am
Yes please. How many times over are Bucs life’s have we had games like this that everyone picks us to win handily. Supposedly playing the worst team in the league. And we come out flat. Can’t score against the supposed horrible d that just gave up 34 points by the 3rd quarter. And yet late in the 3rd quarter we’re sitting there biting are nails yelling at the tv grabbing are 14th beer and the score is 13-10 and the opponent is driving. And we lose or win on a last second field goal. Then the next week that same team gets steam rolled by 28 by another team. We play down to every opponent. And then there’s the couple of teams that just kick our butts every time. The broncos, rams, lions , ravens oh yeah not just them but every team in the afc north.
September 20th, 2026 at 10:06 am
running up the score………you all think that we are capable of easily winning any football game………Browns to cover.
September 20th, 2026 at 10:18 am
Thats definitely their plan. Now that have execute it. Ahhhh the hard part
September 20th, 2026 at 10:20 am
Be careful here assuming the Bucs run up the score, take nothing for granted. Win first then run up the score.
September 20th, 2026 at 10:27 am
I want Todd Bowles fired. I also want the Bucs to win, so it’s a very hard dilemma… oh wait, no, it’s not. 😂
I just don’t think Todd will ever win a Super Bowl as a head coach. I think he was lucky as a defensive coordinator, and his time with the Jets proved to me that he wasn’t a great coach—or even a particularly good one.
So, do I want him fired? Yes. Would I rather see the Bucs win a Super Bowl and have to eat crow? Absolutely.
At the end of the day, I just want what’s best for the team I root for. I want to watch a winning team and have something to root for—not feel hopeless, which is how the end of last year felt and, honestly, how Week 1 felt with four turnovers.
That’s all I’m asking for: give me a team that I can believe in and be excited to watch.
September 20th, 2026 at 10:32 am
I’m hoping Cleveland don’t run up the score on us
It seems like this Bucs team has forgot how to win football games
2-8 during the last 10 games , both nail biters against losing teams
This game really has no meaning to me
When Cleveland traded the DPOY, and named Deshaun Watson the starting QB
It don’t take a Rocket Scientist to see what they are doing

@LoveMyBucs
Todd Bowles Confidence Poll (Week 2 Edition)
Grade Your Confidence In Todd Bowles (Poll Closed)
Little Confidence 48.56% (337 votes)
Confident 22.62% (157 votes)
No Confidence 21.33% (148 votes)
Very Confident 4.18% (29 votes)
Totally Confident 3.31% (23 votes)
You might want to reconsider your percentage. You are correct about most fans wanting the Bucs to win, but that doesn’t mean they have to like Todd’s performance as coach. The concepts are mutually exclusive. Go BUCs!!!! Fire Todd as soon as possible so we have a better chance to win.
September 20th, 2026 at 10:36 am
***Both wins against losing teams (Arizona and Carolina) by a combined 5 points***
This is not the making of a good football team
September 20th, 2026 at 10:39 am
Fun game day. Either the Bucs win big and the Vikings and Pack become important games OR it’s the day the music died for the Bowles era, which we all forget was Bruce Arians hand picked coach.
September 20th, 2026 at 10:47 am
The kiss of death, Man. Why did you have to write this?
September 20th, 2026 at 10:58 am
I’ll take a W that covers the spread. And I’m not even betting!! Go Bucs!!
September 20th, 2026 at 10:58 am
Bruce Arians is the Senior Football Consultant to Team Glazer
He has major influence on the Glazer family
September 20th, 2026 at 10:59 am
If the Bucs don’t beat the Browns at home on Sunday I will be:
– Shocked
– Angry
– Sad
Then I will have one heck of a good time talking smack about our GM and HC!
OMG – I CAN’T LOSE!!!!
LFG!!!!!!!!
September 20th, 2026 at 10:59 am
We are 2 and 8 out of our last 10
Let’s just get a win
September 20th, 2026 at 11:01 am
Lakeland. You might be right. We’re on a bit of a skid here. But there can be an argument made that this team has the potential to turn things around.
It’s a long season. We’re gonna need some breaks. I’m seeing the next up mentality. Today’s game will tell us some. These next 6 games will tell us alot.
We might just go on us a little winning streak here soon. I think we will. And it may just last…and last…and last some more.
This team has the makings of a good team.
September 20th, 2026 at 11:02 am
Would love to know the conversation between Z-Rob and Bowles during the interview and eventual hiring process on how the Fowlclowns simplify destroyed our defense last year. I’m sure Bowles heard it, not sure he actually listened.
September 20th, 2026 at 11:04 am
Running up the score? Let’s not get to excited here, Todd Bowles teams always plays down to the competition. We’ll be lucky to cover the spread at 8.5.
September 20th, 2026 at 11:07 am
@View from Modern Times Says , the music died the day BA hung it up unexpectedly and anointed Todd as the suitable successor. That was 5 years ago now and for what it’s worth, Todd, Licht, and some others seem to have rode that wave into the rocks on the Howard Franklin Bridge causeway.
There’s no telling what’ll happen today but history points to either the Bucs clobbering the Browns, eeek out a win, or give it up late on something that could’ve been completely avoided.
September 20th, 2026 at 11:14 am
I would for short term sanity hope we win. If we manage to Bowles it my only hope is we Bowles it so hard we can be rid of Bowles by Monday.
September 20th, 2026 at 11:15 am
Enter the kiss of death/JoeJinx ™️.
Bucs will be extremely lucky to win by a FG.
It’s the Tripod Todd Monken revenge game as well!
September 20th, 2026 at 11:16 am
Yeah, I’m more concerned about just showing up and winning the game instead of playing down to them. On paper is should be a blow out, or at least a convincing win, but I feel like it will still be undecided with 4 minutes to go.

“I just don’t think Todd will ever win a Super Bowl as a head coach. I think he was lucky as a defensive coordinator, and his time with the Jets proved to me that he wasn’t a great coach—or even a particularly good one.”
You are certainly entitled to that belief. My thoughts on these comments are this:
“…I think he was lucky as a defensive coordinator…”
This is a fair opinion. First, Arians arranged for him to become head coach after him, then Arians gave him incredible veterans to work with. And then, Tomlin retired. I have zero doubts that Licht at least gave him a call to feel him out, but that Tomlin wants at least a year off to refocus.
I think the Glazers were left with a decision: Fire Bowles and hire a new coach which would be a minimum of a two year commitment (probably more) and miss out on Tomlin next year…or give Bowles one more year, draft for defense to make the team more enticing for Tomlin, and give Bowles on last chance at a Superbowl run.
“…his time with the Jets proved to me that he wasn’t a great coach—or even a particularly good one.”
He certainly was a horrible foach with the Jets…but that thought precludes the possibility of improvement over time.
I have absolutely no doubt that Bowles has been a better coach for the Bucs than he was for the Jets. He at least won the division title multple time in Tampa…and until he threw his players under the bus last year, the team played hard for him.
My belief is that no matter how the teams does this year, Bowles will be gone next year. Obviously, if the team does badly, he’ll be fired. But I also believe that even if he wins a Superbowl he will retire.
And I do believe that, with the right players he can win a Superbowl. He proved that as a DC for Arians.
There are a multitude of thing he does that I disagree with. I could never coach, but as a multiple time former corporate manager and former business business owner, I see a lot of mistakes with the way he manages his players.
And his inability to adapt drives me up a wall.
But…I can acknowledge a few good things he’s done too.
In my opinion, he should have been fired at the end of last season…maybe even before that. But I would also have given him another year if I thought I could get Tomlin next year…a man who has never had a losing season.
September 20th, 2026 at 11:22 am
Permanently Moderated … ‘The kiss of death, Man. Why did you have to write this?’
EXACTLY! Pieces like this come across as arrogant to me. To those who write them, teams like the Browns are so bad it’s a wonder they even bother showing up.
And more than once I’ve seen those very teams beat the crap out of the favorite. Karma maybe? Not sure, but the Bucs’ team that showed up last Sunday with its’ FOUR TURNOVERS isn’t exactly in line to win the Super Bowl after that sheet show.
September 20th, 2026 at 11:23 am
talk about a “better win” game.
no doubt the same idiots will say bowles called a good game even if they lose or if the bucs win by three they’ll blabber on about utter domination and SB here we come.
they are cult like in their acceptance of whatever the swami or guru or whatever they call him does or lies to them about, they arent fans. they are cult members.
no doubt the browns think the bucs are beatable, because they are. bucs better not eff this up.
September 20th, 2026 at 11:29 am
Kenton Smith
I’m on your side
I want us to win 12 football games
I want all of our players to do well
But, they have to do it on the field
September 20th, 2026 at 11:29 am
Just focus on executing YOUR job! …the rest will fall into place…..
Any given sunday….dont take it lightly!!!
September 20th, 2026 at 11:31 am
That’s the exact issue, though—there’s a massive gap between “better than he was with the Jets” and “good enough to win a Super Bowl.” Going from terrible to average just raises your floor; it doesn’t give you a high ceiling. I don’t want the Bucs settling for a polished turd just because it looks better than what he was doing in New York!
It was time to flush the “Toilet Bowl” two years ago and keep Coen. Will he ever do anything? Who knows. But I would have rather rolled the dice on him than keep this debacle we’ve had. And again, I hope I eat crow and he wins the Super Bowl. Me being right in this circumstance really doesn’t matter to me—I would much rather watch a Super Bowl win for my favorite team.
GO BUCS 🏴☠️💥🏈
September 20th, 2026 at 11:31 am
Go Bucs!!!
September 20th, 2026 at 11:35 am
Until proven otherwise, this is a 20 point per game offense.
Baker can’t throw the deep ball accurately.
Bowles is too incompetent to change his bland philosophy.
Robinson likes to throw too many smoke routes.
23-20 Browns. They are going to send Bowles into early retirement.
September 20th, 2026 at 11:36 am
Have we all not realized that there’s no such thing as a guaranteed win under Bowles?
Running up the score???? How about we settle for a simple win. That would be achievement enough.
September 20th, 2026 at 11:38 am
My biggest concern about this game
Deshaun Watson might look like the 2020 version of himself
That is if the Bucs can’t get pressure, and play a soft zone
September 20th, 2026 at 11:42 am
Awfully cocky talking about a blowout. Let’s just hope the Bucs win.
September 20th, 2026 at 11:43 am
This is the absolute last thing to be talking about.
In a ‘any given Sunday’ league, blowouts are by far the exception rather than the rule.
This team isn’t in a position to be taking wins for granted. Going in with an auto-blowout mindset is crazy—up there with thinking you’re entitled to a big raise after a 2-7 finish, and currently sitting at 2-8.
But craziness reigns supreme with these owners and players. Gotta face reality at some point.
Just get to 3-8 and win the damn game!
September 20th, 2026 at 11:49 am
Embarrassing to even think about this.
Just win the damn game
September 20th, 2026 at 12:00 pm
Yeah let’s beat up on the browns and show how strong we are, GTFO! Everyone picking us to win, which we will lose.
September 20th, 2026 at 12:17 pm
You guys make me nervous now
thinking of running up the score of a game that hasn’t even started?
Pride comes before a fall
and Baker just got paid. Time to let the Browns go
September 20th, 2026 at 12:21 pm
Until proven otherwise, this team is not one that can blow out anyone. A solid win where they don’t try to give the game away or have to rally to beat a sh!t team would be welcome. If this game is close, we’re in for a long season.
September 20th, 2026 at 12:21 pm
SummerofGeorge … ‘Until proven otherwise, this is a 20 point per game offense.’
Excellent point. Bucs racked up 27 last Sunday, but 7 pts came from the Pick-6, so the offense was in fact … ‘a 20 point per game offense’. Our offense has great potential, but not if it keeps shooting itself in the foot with turnovers.
September 20th, 2026 at 12:24 pm
SkunkApe … ‘If this game is close, we’re in for a long season.’
Bad news, we’re in for a long season anyways. Our QB has a history of being INCONSISTENT. And that quality often leads to up-and-down, loooong seasons.
September 20th, 2026 at 12:29 pm
I just read that both Parish and Garnes are inactive for this game. I understand giving Parish another week for his back, but why wouldn’t Garnes be activated in his place? Absolutely insane to go into the game this thin at CB. And not to mention they will be playing on a ragged field.
Bowels can’t even get the obvious tight.
September 20th, 2026 at 12:34 pm
Run up the score I just hope they can win. I been a fan long enough to see the Bucs screw up sure wins and let teams come back that they were blowing out.
September 20th, 2026 at 12:42 pm
Bosch…
Excellent point on the ragged field. Watching the end of the Bulls game ( where the field was already in shambles )…I couldn’t believe the “schedule makers” would go night game to day game back to back. Potential for sloppy arse play and injuries.
September 20th, 2026 at 12:48 pm
I don’t know that the Bucs will win this game. Think of this…The HC/DC said that last week that Kancey “played his butt off”. Kancey had zero tackles and zero sacks. Bowles also said that his 31 year old NT who has played in the NFL for 9 years played with poor technique. It’s embarrassing, Bowles is embarrassing.
September 20th, 2026 at 12:49 pm
It really is amazing.
All the QBs that were with horrible teams, and everyone said the QB sucked.
Then the QB goes to a team that has a few goid players on offense, and everyone says he “resurrected his career!”
Every year, every QB.
People can’t really be that Stupid.
If the line blockers. If Bucky is running it. If our WR can get open.
Then Mayfield will beat anybody.
The Bucs were a good team when mayfield got here. Incredible stats. Probowl. Etc.
But this team has gotten worse on both offense and defense, every year since.
Went from great OC, to good OC. To a bad OC. To another bad OC.
Still no pass rush.
It’s not the QB. Any NFL QB will win, if he’s with a good team.
Even they we should win today, this isn’t a good team anymore.
September 20th, 2026 at 12:49 pm
Game hasn’t even started and the ladies are already whining.
September 20th, 2026 at 12:52 pm
@Bosch,
I was thinking the same thing. Bowles is just arrogant. He loves to outsmart himself. Anyone on the team thinking about a blowout has not been coached properly. Who knew?
September 20th, 2026 at 12:52 pm
Can they get to a very much respectable 4-9 out of their last 13-games LoL… They better, or all hell is gonna break loose.
September 20th, 2026 at 12:53 pm
Jalon Daniels plays most of game, Bucs lose by 10
September 20th, 2026 at 1:20 pm

Yeah, maybe, when you’re talking about all the empty “fans” who that it’s not going to affect them either way, if they win or not. Those who are just “casual fans.” But, that number is absolutely 💯 entirely REVERSED though, when you ate talking about ‘REAL’ true hardcore fans who are actually paying attention. The so-called “FANS” whom YOU are speaking of… Could NOT name 5-PLAYERS on the team. And, over HALF, could not even tell you WHO the “Head Coach” even WAS.
September 20th, 2026 at 1:32 pm
This Browns Football Team is a JOKE. I mean, they are HORRIBLE. Just AWFUL. It’s PATHETIC.
September 20th, 2026 at 1:38 pm
Nice int! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
September 20th, 2026 at 1:40 pm
165 million QB, having a record season so far!👍🏼
September 20th, 2026 at 1:57 pm
This aged well.
September 20th, 2026 at 2:24 pm
“I’m undervalued”
“I’m disrespected”
“This team is going to surprise alot of people”
You can sure say that again. Surprised us alot.
This is what the bucs look like without Mike Evans.
Bad team.
So, if it gets Todd out of here, we can handle another mediocre season.
September 20th, 2026 at 2:44 pm
I just want Baker to score
September 20th, 2026 at 3:10 pm
JOE IS A JOKE TO HAVE THIS ARTICLE WITH THIS TEAM
September 20th, 2026 at 3:27 pm
5 wins like I have been saying this was supposed to be one of them
September 20th, 2026 at 3:38 pm
BAKER IS WORSE THAN JAMEIS WINSTON
September 20th, 2026 at 4:18 pm
Sure did run up the score,no
September 20th, 2026 at 4:21 pm
What’s the score? Yeah they ran up the score.
September 20th, 2026 at 4:28 pm
HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAA
Running up the score.
