Emeka Egbuka Is Full-Go Against Bengals: Jalen McMillan, Sean Tucker Are Doubtful
September 11th, 2026
Bucs fans will see plenty of rookie receiver Ted Hurst on Sunday.
That was Joe’s biggest takeaway from Todd Bowles tellling local media that second-year receiver Emeka Egbuka (healed foot) is full-go for Sunday in Cincinnati — and Bowles saying third-year receiver Jalen McMillan (knee bruise) is “doubtful.”
Joe’s pulling the word this afternoon from Bucs and Florida State Seminoles reporter Logan Robinson’s X feed.
Joe expects Hurst is up for the challenge. Hopefully, Egbuka is truly 100 percent and not, say, 90 percent. The NFL season is hard enough without starting off banged up. Egbuka practiced fully all week.
No. 3 running back Sean Tucker (hamstring) also is doubtful.

Emeka, Godwin, Tez, Hurst, Otton, Gainwell and Bucky .. plenty of weapons for this game.
Oline needs to dominate and get the running game going early!

Jalen is more trouble than what he has to offer. Smh

Are we going to say “Hurst Down!” instead of First Down? I hope so
September 11th, 2026 at 1:08 pm
Good to have depth Tez had stepped up and now we have Ted hurst. Just keep j Mac out till October. He’s starting to become injury prone imo

Yes. I am.
Hurst and goal, from the two. That’s the old corner fade that Evans dominated with and ought to be a Hurst specialty. Hurst and goal.
September 11th, 2026 at 1:20 pm
Godwin, Egbuka, and Hurst seem like a pretty sound trio of receivers to me.
September 11th, 2026 at 1:42 pm
Man Jmac already hurt for the first game!? Dammit man…I like the kid alot…oh well, we shall see how Robinson uses these guys over Grizz
September 11th, 2026 at 1:48 pm
Tez Johnson will be the most exciting player on the field and will make the Ben Gals very sad. I predict that the Ben Gals fans will be exiting the stadium before the final whistle.
September 11th, 2026 at 2:02 pm
JMac can’t get a break.
September 11th, 2026 at 2:07 pm
For the sake of my fantasy team I wonder who will get the start, Tez or THurst!!
September 11th, 2026 at 2:21 pm
Newsflash. Nobody gives a spit about your fantasy team.

@Bakerfan
With Allllll Due Respect- Can you please refrain from talking smack about REAL Buccaneer players!!! You are only here on this site because you idolize Baker Mayfield and you have only been here since the Bucs gave Baker mouth to mouth recessitation from the dead & a real opportunity to revive his career in this league! It’s clear you are not a Bucs fan you are a BM6 fan ONLY made it clear you could care less how any amount of contract money affected the Bucs team moving forward ONLY that BM6 be able to extract as much financial gain humanly possible as far as you were concerned!! J McMillan suffered a neck injury last season which could have ended that young man’s career before it ever really got started and could have left that young man paralyzed for the rest of his life at such a young age while because of the QB market in the NFL a middling player that threw the most interceptions in the league since 2023( only Geno Smith threw more) like BM6 is enjoying top 3 compensation only really ranking about 15th at best swimming in generational financial security!!!! The Bucs have to build everything almost perfect around BM6 to be successful in my view that isn’t a Franchise QB if Burrow switched teams with Mayfield the Bucs would go NO LESS than 13-4 or 14-3 plus go very very deep in the playoffs!!! MARK MY WORDS if Bucs lose Sunday it will be because Mayfield throws a pick late to seal their doom our new $55 million man so when it happens don’t act surprised BM6 fan🚩🏴☠️🚩

So we got Hurst’s first game, Egbuka who can’t separate on the outside even when he is 100%, the ghost of Godwin, and a 5’6 95lb gadget player to keep up with Bengals star receivers getting free 15 yard cushions and having a full foot of height advantage on Parrish.
Yet again this roster will need MVP caliber play from Baker to keep things close. Ugh.
September 11th, 2026 at 2:44 pm
Jalen is clutch so this is a loss for Bucs. I see this game as a loss.
September 11th, 2026 at 3:32 pm
Bucs win easily. Our defense is way better and our offense is nearly as explosive. We are going to run the football like a knife through butter.
September 11th, 2026 at 4:45 pm
We will never get a full season out of Jmac.
September 11th, 2026 at 4:53 pm
Hate to see J-Mac possibly out but an opportunity for Tez and Ted to step up and be more involved.
48 hours until we get our 1st look @ the 2026 Bucs.

For fantasy, Greg Auman had a really good tidbit on X… If you’re looking for a longshot in a deep league or doing daily fantasy, picking up Hurst might be a very good play…
“This is a cool streak of Bucs rookie WRs in Week 1:
2023: Trey Palmer TD catch in win vs. Vikings
2024: Jalen McMillan TD catch in win vs. Commanders
2025: Emeka Egbuka TD catch in win vs. Falcons
(rest of NFL has three total TD catches by rookies in Week 1 wins since 2023)”
September 11th, 2026 at 7:16 pm
I’m thing Buccaneers win 10 games. This one may be the most difficult to predict. Bengals rebuilt their offensive and defensive line. Burrow is likely the best QB we will face. Four points with Baker seems a lot.

That was the knock on the San Francisco 49ers last season
The so-called experts said their corners sucked
They didn’t suck against the Mighty Rams
I don’t listen to the nonsense, l watch the okay on the field
