Jadarian Price Brings Versatility

February 11th, 2026

Notre Dame RB Jadarian Price.

Joe already stated sleep would not be lost if the Bucs somehow had Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love fall to them at No. 15.

Joe thinks there are question marks at running back. Rachaad White is gone. Bucky Irving, who knows what happened to him? At least, the Bucs will need a back to catch and run like White did.

So would Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price be a good haul on the second day of the draft? Joe thinks so.

Joe doesn’t know how one college team could have two running backs so damn good but Notre Dame did. Price is sort of like White in that he’s not a one-trick pony. He can catch or run for first downs.

What are the Bucs’ thoughts on Bucky after he had such a disappointing season? And last year, Bucky simply was not good in the red zone, which is a little disturbing.

Price has no such issues. His vision is excellent, his lateral movement is as good as anyone’s and he can catch and make dudes miss.

(And before anyone chimes in, Joe doesn’t give two s(p)its where a guy went to college. Joe only wants whomever the Bucs draft to become a Pro Bowl player and helps the Bucs win Super Bowls.)

No thanks. Waaaaaaay too many holes on defense.

  2. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

    So does Mike Washington Jr.

Joe, you gotta start looking beyond the 1st round, there’s so much more talent and RBs who aren’t running on an achilles that was rebuilt 3 years ago.

  3. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

We need a third RB that’s for sure. But we also need about 6-7 new starters on defense so Licht will have to figure that out.

  4. DS Says:

He looks fast as hell and physical

  5. Deeboooo Says:

Never a fan of drafting a Rb in the first round unless they are Mccaffery/Henry kind of player.

  6. DS Says:

His vision is crazy looks like a home run hitter

  7. JimBobBuc Says:

First three rounds need to be defense.

Free Agency: ILB, Edge, backup G

    Draft:
    Edge
    ILB
    DT interior pass rusher

  8. Fred McNeil Says:

That’s what draft boards are for. I don’t have any idea who I like just yet. A solid RB is only helpful if you can block for him.

  9. Truth be Told Says:

Defense. Defense Defense. Nothing but when it comes to what this team needs draft and otherwise.

  10. Nutterbuccer Says:

Lol rb at 15 would be an absolute joke and licht would be fired next year

  11. john Says:

joe the kid we want is jonah coleman. trust me

  12. Nicholas Carlson Says:

Second day, sure. But like…we better have signed some very nasty FAs for the front seven.

  13. Boge Says:

I wouldn’t draft an edge this year on days 1 or 2. Production is needed asap, sign a DE1 and draft DT’s and ILB’s, maybe a CB. If a TE or RB is there on Day 2, grab one.

  14. Allen Lofton Says:

We can attribute the offensive line being the problem for the running and passing woes. There was no continuity due to serious injuries for the entire season. When the Bucs won Super Bowl 55 the offensive line remained healthy and kept Brady upright.

The question is how to minimize the 2025 injuries. Will lightning strike twice . Hopefully not. The other lingering question is what can Bowles do about his defense. Hopefully these new defensive can make a difference.

That’s a lot of ifs. 2026 is a make or break year.

  15. Brian in FL Says:

Absolutely not. If we draft a RB anywhere before maybe round 5 I’ll be extraordinarily disappointed.

Jeremiyah Love will be better than both McCaffery and Henry. He is a can’t miss Gayle Sayers/Barry Sanders type back. If by some miracle he is availabe at 15, he has to be taken. Keep in mind that I have been pounding the table for an all defense draft. For Jeremiyah Love ,I would enthusiastically make an exception.

  17. MelvinJunior Says:

I was just thinking yesterday that if he’s there at #15, the Bucs should probably take him. McShay said that he’s THE BEST Player in the entire draft and was comparing him to Dickerson and a faster Emmitt. He also said that he is a Bijan Robinson type of back. If all of that is true, then there’s no-way you can pass on him at friggin’ 15. I believe the Bucs are so far away from even competing, that it would be the better move for the future of the team getting a player at that level. No matter what the Bucs do in this draft, they are at the very BOTTOM of the NFC next season. So, the pick will be mostly irrelevant for next season regardless, in my mind. We’ll be beginning the complete tear down at the deadline, anyway.

  18. gofortheface30 Says:

i love Bucky – huge huge fan of Bucky, but him and Jeremiah Love don’t belong in the same galaxy. Jeremiah love is ungodly fast a state champion sprinter and the fastest player in college football. His elusiveness is every bit as good as Bucky’s but a much much better athlete, box office and the most exciting running back ive seen in a long time. Of course, if you’re a bargain bin shopper like warrnbrrokslynch or whatever his stupid name is, he will tell you he can find someone just as good in the 6th round. Perfect! Guy on his recliner has it allllll figured out. You should totally be the GM BRO! Losers bypass on the best players in the draft simply to fill a hole. If the available guard or linebacker at pick 15 is graded as a late first rounder, then you dont pass up 5 star talent to over pick for need. GM’s know this, i thought this was common knowledge. Not to warrenbrookslynch though.

  19. MelvinJunior Says:

I’m talking about Love of course.

  20. Okiejim Says:

With the 15th pick, do you go for the best available regardless of position or do you trade down to pick that linebacker you need?

  21. MelvinJunior Says:

Actually, Love would help us win more games NEXT season even, than what any other defensive-player would at #15. 💯- so maybe I don’t want him LoL. Since it still won’t make a lick of difference. 4-wins vs 7 and an even worse pick in ‘27 AND no moves at the deadline, because they’ll falsely believe that we still have a shot in a sh!tty division.

  22. Billy Bucco Says:

This kid is exciting with the ball in his hands.
Returns kicks already and looks Super Fast.
I’m sure his combine will move him up draft boards with that speed.
Shouldn’t use anything more than a 3rd rounder

  23. Rocket10 Says:

Holy crap, any pick that isn’t a defensive player or Off lineman is a mistake

  24. ocala Says:

2027 Draft is supposed to be very strong. Bucs GM and ownership have punted on 2026 so I would like the Bucs to do what is best for the long-term success of the franchise. Trade some of the premium picks in this year’s draft and consider trading any Bucs player that is 30 or older for the 2027 draft.

  25. Bucman Says:

With Bowles still running the defense, draft any player that will help the Bucs score 50 points per game.

  26. BucsfaninOregon Says:

Allen Lofton,,,,,That’s a lot of ifs. 2026 is a make or break year.

Allen, sorry to inform you. 2025 WAS the make or break year. We broke and we’re not fixed.

  27. Alstott40 Says:

Did Sean Tucker die and I missed it? His name never gets mentioned in these rb articles.

  28. David Says:

    Bucky and Tucker

RB depth in the later rounds.

DEFENSE and O-Line depth are priorities

  29. SG Says:

I have a feeling that we would trade down, and accumulate more picks to cover all the holes on the defense. We may be picking in the late 20’s

  30. RustyRhinos Says:

Most important for any RB we draft, or sign….

Can he block, pick up the blitz, or will he need to learn… we see how ineffective Mr. Pete has been in this vital to be on the field game skillset. If they don’t know how, Pete don’t care, look at our results on the field…

  31. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

“Jeremiah love is ungodly fast a state champion sprinter and the fastest player in college football.”

Barion Brown runs a 4.28 and was clocked at 22mph like 2 years ago at Kentucky and is now at LSU lol

Love runs a 4.4 and was clocked 21.8 mph, and even we drafted him he’d be the 2nd fastest RB on the team behind Sean Tucker. What you see as speed, is the same phenomena that makes 30mph seem fast, in a parking lot.

So much for being the fastest player in college football, but I get it gross embellishment to garnish an otherwise false statement in effort to make it sound convincing or as if you know what your’re talking about.

Also, drafting an RB 15th overall would be stupid, considering the highest Licht has ever drafted an RB was 7 years ago at 38th overall.

Like I said in my initial comment, Mike Washinton Jr is right there day 2 and has 4.4 speed and is a dual threat back in the same way Price is, BUT Washington doesn’t have a rebuilt achilles tendon. That would fall under the “risk assessment” portion of player eval.

Maybe, a name change is in order? Instead of the face, maybe go for the brain?

  32. gofortheface30 Says:

once again a dumb moron that looks at 40 time and equates it to long speed and track speed, and even more breathtakingly stupid – suggests a 2 star, middling running back with no vision belongs in the same sentence as a running so good that mocks have him going top 10 overall.. wow dude, you just continue to impress with your brilliance

  33. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

“once again a dumb moron that looks at 40 time and equates it to long speed and track speed, and even more breathtakingly stupid – suggests a 2 star, middling running back with no vision belongs in the same sentence as a running so good that mocks have him going top 10 overall.. wow dude, you just continue to impress with your brilliance”

Still doesn’t stop your statement from being wrong, chump

  34. Alanbucsfan Says:

The Bucs’ 2 starting Guards had Knee injuries last season.
Not drafting an interior OLineman or not signing an elite FA OLineman would be idiotic

  35. MelvinJunior Says:

The NFC is the conference with STACKED Rosters, and GREAT GM’s and Coaches. Just take a look at where the Bucs fit in, or does NOT fit in… The North, where ALL 4-Teams are LOADED. The West… Prob the THREE BEST Teams. And, the East with Daniels set to return in Washington only a year removed from a Conference Championship Game, Philly, and a much improved Giants (with Hairball) and Cowboys teams. Then, that leaves you with a wide-open South with ALL 4-Teams being pretty BAD and not real threats. And, with 3 of the teams getting better in a hurry! The Bucs are in a real bad spot. They don’t have the leadership, coaching, or roster to compete.

  36. MelvinJunior Says:

    @ gofortheface30 – Love is a whoooole lot MORE than just a 40-time.

  37. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

    “@ gofortheface30 – Love is a whoooole lot MORE than just a 40-time.”

Not the fastest player in college football tho, not even close. 40 time was used to poke the obvious hole in that statement, just watch the tape Love nor Price needs ya’ll lying for them

This is how people get tunnel vision during draft season, I used to as well, but then I smartened up.

  38. MelvinJunior Says:

And, I KNOW Barion Brown REAL WELL. I followed his HS recruitment. He’s a freakin HEAD CASE, who has nowhere even NEAR the talent” as Love. Brown literally DESTROYED the Kentucky locker room single-handedly HIMSELF. He was the guy who would get up and CELEBRATE over catching ONE PASS for 9-YARDS. Awful.

  39. darengibo Says:

just pick up RB when roster cuts occur
save draft capital for what is truly needed on the defensive side

  40. MelvinJunior Says:

The RB position is BACK. Especially, if you can get an ELITE one on a rookie deal with FRESH legs and feet. Love is a DAWG.

  41. MelvinJunior Says:

I knew he was pretty fast, but I had no idea he was 4.2 FAST. That’s Game-Breaking speed there.

  42. MelvinJunior Says:

@ Brian in FL Says: “Absolutely not. If we draft a RB anywhere before maybe round 5 I’ll be extraordinarily disappointed.”

I also had that exact same mentality for the most part just a few days ago. It is the default position (&/or) the old way of doing things. Now, I’m not so sure!? Especially, with the #15 Pick, AND if a player the caliber of Love is available. A true game-changer. Then, throw in the FACT that the Bucs ate going NOWHERE next season regardless, and is a declining franchise. You take Love. Though, he’ll be long gone by then, anyway! So, it’s irrelevant.

  43. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Joe, you are better suited to look into second round RBs. The odds that the Bucs will take on in round 1 are very low this year.
