Cam Jordan Calls Tristan Wirfs Fat

UPDATED: Bucs fans already hated Saints edge rusher Cam Jordan, more than usual after he found 10 1/2 sacks this season and likely locked down a future bust in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Even Buccaneers Ring of Honor general manager Jason Licht can’t stand the guy.
Jordan loves to run his mouth and the Bucs seem to be a favorite target.
Speaking this week on the Why Is Draymond Green Talking About Football podcast, Jordan ranted about how offensive linemen aren’t good athletes and are inapproprately celebrated for what their bodies do.
“Fat people don’t matter in our game,” Jordan said, referring to O-linemen.
Jordan was challenged on that assertion and was told Tristan Wirfs is a great athlete. Jordan wasn’t having it. “He’s fat as hell. Stop. Shoutout to Tristan Wirfs for being a hell of an offensive tackle.”
Jordan claims offensive linemen are lauded for athleticism because they’re only compared to their own position players. He says they can’t see their toes or other important body parts and the public should understand their athletic skills don’t translate to other sports.
What a tool Jordan is. Donovan Smith would agree.

Wirfs really did have a bad year compared to everything his done up to this year. You would see flashes of the old Wirfs, but he was mostly an average tackle. I just hope the surgery and healing up was why he wasn’t normal and not just where he’s at going forward. Everyone gets healthy on the line, it won’t matter who’s in the backfield they’ll have a great season

I was yelling for the Bucs to draft him despite his mouth. Then Heyward with the Steelers same draft. Also will go to the HOF. We draft the guy with Erbs Palsy that’s been out of football forever. Thanks Dumbinick. He REALLY couldn’t draft an edge rusher even when they were available when we picked.

PFF had Wirfs with a 92.7 grade, easily the best of his career.
While I don’t think Wirfs had his best season, and PFF isn’t to be taken too seriously, the idea Wirfs had a bad year is pure nonsense.

DBS — Allen missed a throw to his TE for a TD on their last drive in regulation that would have won the game, so yeah, he did lose the game.

100. We are not nearly physical enough. NFL playoff are similar to the NHL playoffs, physicality elevates. I can’t think of one physical unit on or team.

Also I was just giving Bowles props for coaching the team to wins over Seattle and San Francisco, the two teams playing right now in the playoffs – the Bucs went 2-0 vs them, sort of proving they should be playing right now.

wow i didn’t realize jordan had 10.5 sacks this year…how in the heck did he pull that off…
132 sacks for a 15 year career with pretty much every game played in every year as well…
dude is like an iron man or something, and 8 time pro bowler…
he was very active this year…i pulled his numbers up…
after the past two seasons of really washed out production…
whatever he is using, maybe he can give some to our guys too…
dude had a big year…but seemed quiet in games he played us…
if i had to guess, i’d have thought maybe 3.5 sacks on the year…
