New Addition To Bucs Injury Report

November 13th, 2025

The Thursday Bucs-Bills injury report is in.

Added today was edge rusher Anthony Nelson, the guy who took 92 percent of the defensive snaps Sunday plus another 15 special teams snaps. (If that doesn’t speak loudly about what Todd Bowles thinks of Chris Braswell’s play, Joe’s not sure what would.)

Nelson was listed with an “illness.” Joe hopes there’s no bug going around the Bucs’ locker room. The Bucs only had a walk-through session today but Nelson was listed as unable to participate if today was a real practice.

Still not practicing are Ben Bredeson (hamstring) and Haason Reddick (knee, ankle).

The full report is below.

Bills top pass catcher Dalton Kincaid remains out with the hamstring he blew Sunday, and top Bills receiver Khalil Shakir remained “limited” with ankle and ribs issues.

    Fugly

  3. PC Says:

I’ve got a fever, and the only prescription is more Braswell…

  4. I Remember 21 Says:

    Haason “the bandit” Reddick

  5. Pelsbuc61 Says:

Braswell has been a colossal bust. Next years draft, LB, LB, WR OL and DB

Braswell!! Another Licht special. Love the way he gassed him up all offseason. Licht is definitely trending towards his mediocre ceiling.
I still like the Bucs chances in Buffalo. This is a good matchup for us despite the dark clouds.

Pats fans chanting MVP to Maye… I remember when Bucs fans were chanting that.

    Shockin the world baby

  9. Rod Munch Says:

BTW, I meant Bucs fans were chanting MVP for Nelson – the future HOFer. Him and Tucker should open a museum for games @Saints, can include Fitz’s jersey from 2018 as well.

Glad to see godwin and bucky back at it again today. Hope they get at least a few snaps so they can be more ready against the LA lams

I don’t see Mayfield listed, hope he can extend a drive with his legs. Begining of year Hard Rock listed him over/under 15 yards rushing. I just checked but he’s not even listed in the rushing section at all currently . Interesting to follow up because he’s not on injury report. Josh Allen is listed at 32.5 rushing. Bills getting into must win territory to keep wildcard pace.

When was the last time the injury report didn’t have a “The Buccaneers conducted a walk-through. The practice report is an estimation.”?

Looking like a big swing and miss on Braswell. So Licht signs a washed-up 1-sack Reddick to $14M, which predictably, has failed miserably.

Meanwhile Pats sign former 1st round 26 yr-old FA K’Lavon Chaisson for $3M. Has 6.5 sacks

  14. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Nelsen is an illness…guessing he’ll play.

As to braswell… it’s called development. These fans always give up on players too soon.

  15. Defense Rules Says:

Bonzai … ‘As to braswell… it’s called development. These fans always give up on players too soon.’

I suspect you’re right Bonzai, although there are never any guarantees that Braswell is a good ‘fit’ for Todd Bowles’ defense. When I looked back through Bowles’ years as a DC, the only OLBs who’ve done well have been recognized top performers, from before they started working for Todd. The only players to get 10 sacks in a season were …

    o 2013: John Abraham … 11.5 sacks in 862 def snaps
    o 2019: Shaq Barrett … 19.5 sacks in 889 def snaps
    o 2020: Jason Pierre-Paul … 9.5 sacks in 943 def snaps
    o 2021: Shaq Barrett … 10 sacks in 767 def snaps

All 3 of those OLBs were very experienced prior to hopping into Todd Bowles 3-4 defense. They all also stayed healthy in those seasons and played a LOT of defensive snaps.

BTW a pretty good percentage of the explosive run plays we’ve been giving up were around the edges (OLB responsibility for containment?) or were runs by QBs when a lane near the middle opened up (MLB containment responsibility?). Given his historic priority to Run Defense, I suspect that Todd won’t even let a young OLB onto the field until he perfects containment.

This injury bug hit us this season and last season too. I think Bucs are going to be too injured going into playoffs to do much there. Baker was way to injured to be playing against Pats. Maybe let Teddy Bridgewater step in and see what he can do against the Bills. Baker let that oblique and knee rest more. Your passes sail over players heads cause your hurt man. Cone on dude, your a team guy right.
