Weather: Might be dicey today after a beautiful start. Per AccuWeather.com, tailgaters will be greeted by temperatures in the mid-70s with a few clouds. But in a short time right at kickoff, rain chances jump to 50 percent with a temperature of 79 degrees. The winds will pick up to 16 mph. Rain chances slightly decrease by the second half but not the wind which will gradually increase. By the end of the game rain chances should decrease with a temperature of 80. However, the winds will continue to increase, expected to be 20 mph..
Odds: Per Hard Rock Bet, as of Saturday, Bucs -2.5 (-115); over/under 48.5 (-105); moneyline -150.
Referees: Alex Kemp and his gang will work today’s Patriots-Bucs game. This is not good for Bucs fans if they pay any attention to gambling angles. Against the spread, the over/under, you name it, home teams have a losing record with Kemp and his outfit. This season, Kemp’s gang has thrown the majority of flags against home teams. Take the gambling angle out of it, and home teams have won exactly half of the games worked by Kemp’s posse this season.
(The NFL does not include players on injury reports who are not on a team’s active 53-man roster. Players on injured reserve or the practice squad are not on a team’s active 53-man roster.)
Outlook: The Bucs, Joe is afraid, are going to need their defense to bail them out again today. And this time the Bucs aren’t facing Spencer Rattler, Tyler Shough or the slimy Saints. The Patriots offense may be one of the better offenses the Bucs will face. First, Drake Maye is a good young quarterback. Second, New England spreads the ball around a lot. No, Joe isn’t worried about washed Stefon Diggs. But Joe is worried about everybody else. The Patriots have had 13 different guys score offensive touchdowns. So the Patriots can hurt a defense in so many ways, not to mention Maye can run, too. And why does Joe think the Bucs’ defense has to win the game for them? New England simply does not allow people to run on them. Only Josh Allen — you know, the quarterback — has run for over 50 yards on the Patriots’ defense. New England is simply a brick wall against the run. And the Bucs have been lousy running the ball in the past two games. And with Mike Evans out, the passing attack is pretty much locked in the Glazer Shed. So the way Joe looks at this game, the Bucs are going to have to hold the Patriots to no more than 14 points to win this game. Even then, Joe isn’t sure the Bucs offense can score two touchdowns against this stingy Patriots defense. At least, not the Bucs offense we’ve seen the past two games.
Fun facts: The Patriots are the first team in 75 years to not allow a running back to gain 50 yards through the first nine games of the season. The only player to break 50 yards on the ground this year against New England is Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen who ran for 53 yards. … Patriots QB Drake Maye had 259 pass yards and 2 touchdowns with a pick last week in a win over against the Dixie Chicks. It was Maye’s eighth straight game with 200 passing yards. … RB Treveyon Henderson ranks fourth in the league among rookies in yards per rush (4.2). … Washed WR Stefon Diggs recorded his 900th career reception. … OLB Harold Landry had nine tackles and a sack the last time he played the Bucs, then a member of the Titans. … LB Robert “Mickey” Spillane is one of six AFC linebackers with 10 or more tackles in at least four games. … CB Carlton Davis had six tackles and a pass defensed against the Dixie Chicks last week. His 87 pass defenses since 2018 are the fourth most in the league. … Bucs QB Baker Mayfield has at least two touchdown passes in two of his last three home games. … RB Rachaad White aims for his second straight home game with a rushing touchdown. He has 10 or more carries and two catches in his last four games. … WR Emeka Egbuka leads the Bucs in receiving yards (562) and touchdown catches (5). Egbuka is the only player with 500 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns with two catches of at least 50 yards this season. … OLB Anthony Nelson looks for his third straight game with a sack. … ILB Lavonte David had 10 tackles and a fumble recovery at New Orleans. He is one of five linebackers to pull that off in the same game this season. … S Tykee Smith has recorded a pass defensed in 5 of his past 6 games. Smith is second among safeties in passes defensed (8) & second among all defensive backs in tackles (66).

I bet White breaks 50 yards rushing and 100 yards combined….
Have a feeling our Offense comes alive a bit this game with some big plays and the Bucs score 27+
Defense just needs to do its job and hold the Pats to 20 or less….
From your description of the officiating crew – I guess we’re just going to have to beat the opponent AND the Refs – AGAIN…. at least the Bucs are now very used to getting royally screwed by the men in stripes (or better yet ‘New York’) at least once or twice per game this whole friggin year…..

Orlando screwed once again by the decision to make us a Jaguars market….
