The Sack That Wasn’t

October 7th, 2025

Missed sacks are one part worthless, two parts frustrating and, apparently, unfixable.

Joe’s not sure why Bucs edge rusher YaYa Diaby has such trouble tackling quarterbacks over the past couple of seasons.

Look at the screenshot above. It was a massive fourth-down play in Sunday’s Bucs-Seahawks game and the Bucs rushed four against not-too-agile Sam Darnold. Athletic freak Diaby was in the clear for a game-changing sack but couldn’t tackle Darnold. After Diaby whiffed, unencumbered Haason Reddick (No. 5) couldn’t bring down Darnold, either.

Darnold held the ball a total of four seconds before releasing a 21-yard touchdown pass.

Joe almost thinks the Bucs should put Diaby in the Glazer Shed every morning with a young chicken and don’t let him out unless the bird is in his hands. And then do it again the next day.

On the third day, Diaby can play tag against Tez Johnson.

As for Reddick, he’s got 63 1/2 career sacks, including the postseason. He knows what to do, a proven commodity. It’s possible he’s just run out of gas. Diaby and Reddick each have one sack this season.

Cannot understand how he missed that. Such a critical play too.

  2. EEK Says:

I about lost my mind when this play happened
    Outright disgusted
Quite a redemption at the end but it’s hard to believe that it happened

  3. gotbbucs Says:

They have to gently lay these QBs on the ground now and put a pillow under their helmet…otherwise they get a 15 yard penalty. I don’t think people fully understand how hard it is to not do what’s natural and just whip the QB to the ground.
It’s not really an excuse for a professional athlete to not finish a play, but it is something to consider.

  4. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Gotbucs

This wasn’t a penalty avoidance thing. It’s a lack of skill thing.

  5. Erik with Pilot and Driver™ Says:

In the old days, Diaby could’ve just dove at his legs right there and easily tackled him, but nowadays he would’ve been flagged for going low,so he had to stay upright and that gave Darnold a chance to squirt away.

  6. BuucccNASTY Says:

Is Hendrickson still on the table? I think we maybe consider pulling the trigger Licht if you think he is as talented as his contract is worth…

  7. Hodad Says:

Watch the replay, Reddick was gassed. That’s what happens by games end when you have your edge rusher playing in coverage all day. Instead of chasing QBs he’s chasing receivers, TEs, and backs. So come money time when you want a pass rush he’s on empty. I’ve seen to much Vea dropping in zone, same with YaYa, Braz, all of them. Let them do one thing right, rush the passer. You need cover guys?, bring in cover guys. Vea should never run backwards at the snap of the ball, never. Who’s Bowles fooling? Has Vea ever picked off a pass? Has YaYa, Braswell, Nelly? A jack of all trades is a master of none. Master getting the QB on the ground.

  8. Bee Says:

If Diaby would’ve caught the int near the goal line this wouldn’t have been an issue. He’s another JTS, he gets close with no cigar and disappears too often. The Bucs need to draft 2 DEs and 2 LBs…good ones lol

  9. sethery Says:

yaya was so close to a monster game. if he had intercepted that ball he deflected when they were at their own one yard line, it would have been a bucs touchdown. the game would have been over. done.

he’s so close. really hope he and reddick can turn the corner and start getting home in the next few games. same for dennis in pass coverage and on running backs in the flat.

otherwise we’ll need to look to the draft and free agency this offseason possibly to fill four spots and that will be tough. still have hope for david walker but he’s unavailable and unproven.

  10. Bucsfan Says:

YaYa was being held off by the arm of the Tackle and by staying high allowed it to impede his line to Darnold. Diaby should have gone low under the arm staright at the ankles and locked on. Reddick got a paw on Darnolds’ shoulder and another mitt on the top of Darnolds’ foot and could hang on with neither. Reddick is washed up hot garbage and a huge waste of resources. Diaby is young and learning.

  11. PSL Bob Says:

EEK, I’m with you bro. How did they not sack Darnold? And, then he throws a TD!
Not going to criticize, because I’ve never played football at a high level. I know these guys are big and tough to tackle, but regardless of the defensive player involved, he’s got to finish the play when he’s in that position. That’s why they make the big bucks! (no pun intended)

  12. BakerFan Says:

Can’t tackle and Can’t catch either. A pass will never get any easier than the one that went through his hands virtually in the Bucs end zone . Sorry, truth hurts.

  13. BigBoiBuc Says:

Yaya may be too fast for his own good sometimes. He crashes so hard and fast( and out of control) that a QB easily sidesteps him and then is out on the perimeter and free to find a receiver. There is an art to pass rushing from the edge and it’s not always going 1000 mph.

  14. Dano407 Says:

    Yaya “Almost” Diaby.

  15. Jmarkbuc Says:

    PSL

And to make matters worse, our coverage is so lax that a ball that went through a man’s hands was still caught and advanced for ten yards.

We either have terrible players or terrible coaching.

Champions catch that interception, Zyon too with six seconds left on the half, and they make a sack on 4th & 2 to end a game.

This horseshoes and hand grenades thing is BS.

  16. infomeplease Says:

Forget about that play!!! On to the next..here against San Francisco!

  17. BuccoBruce76 Says:

This run will eventually catch up and will be on the other end of the wins/losses. Our D is just not good enough. Our pass rush has not been good since our Superbowl run with Brady. Our secondary is average/below average at best. If this team wants to contend in the playoffs, we better start making trades for players on D. Phillips from Miami, Try hendrickson from Ciny? Why waste this season and stand put in hopes for a turn around. This D is not gonna get better.

  18. SC Bucs Fan Says:

Diaby leads the league in almost sacks

  19. PanhandleBuc Says:

We struggled to get home and it’s been an issue all year so far! Close the deal fellas! I like the chicken in the shed drill…Yaya.

  20. PanhandleBuc Says:

Yaya had a few game-changing play opportunities and didn’t deliver. Needs to STEP UP!!!

  21. Timbucs2 Says:

Looked like Devin White out there, running past the QB.

  22. BakerFan Says:

    The Hunt For Trey Hendrickson…..
6 spots for him to land and 2 of them are terrible news for Bucs.
Dallas, Atlanta, Detroit, Green Bay, Indianapolis, Chicago NO MENTION of Bucs.

This is shameful that Bucs are not mentioned, it would cost a #2 plus some player and Bucs are deep at receiver. He graded out at 91(which is elite) in last weeks game against the Lions. If he goes the Lions, just forget about it, meaning no SB.

  23. Aqualung Says:

Coaching matters. In practice these dudes are honing their cornerback and safety skills, so they can fail to defend a pass.

  24. Dano407 Says:

Yaya is not that dude. Unfortunately Licht hasn’t drafted stud pass rushers. That’s been his weakness in the draft.

  25. Dano407 Says:

In order to go deep in the playoffs you need pass rushers. Licht has to make a trade.

  26. Pops Malone Says:

Great post Joe. Yaya has been doing this since he got here. I don’t understand how he continues to get close and then miss. Jump on the QB and take him down you big goof! Like really really frustrating to watch this crap and its inexcusable…

  27. Defense Rules Says:

That particular play really blew my mind. How 4 Bucs could surround Darnold then let him escape AND throw a TD was mind-boggling.

But this defense has been doing things like that all season. And it’s reflected in the fact that right now we’re ranked #23 in Points Allowed, our worst ranking since 2019 when Bowles was first transitioning the Bucs to his 3-4 hyrbrid defense. Obviously Eagles & Seahawks are 2 very good teams, but giving up 66 points total to those 2 teams, after giving up the same number of points (66) to our first THREE teams, has to get folks wondering what’s going on with our defense.

We’re behind our 2024 performance in several significant stats. For one, we’ve now got 10 sacks in 5 games, putting us on-track to get 34 sacks on the season. Far below the 46 sacks we registered last season, and roughly our average over the last 5 years.

For another, we’ve now got only 25 QB Hits in 5 games, putting us on-track to get 85 QB Hits on the season. That’s well below the 113 QB Hits we got last season, but is roughly the same (84 QB Hits) as we got in 2023. Seems bizarre, but our defense ranked #7 in 2023 in Points Allowed (only gave up 325 pts on the season), our best since 2008. Granted our Pass Defense ranked #29 that year, but POINTS are still the bottom line.

One other stat seems to indicate that our pass rush isn’t all bad. Through 5 games we’ve registered 33 TFLs, putting us on-track to get 112 TFLs this season. Bucs only got 81 TFLs last season & 91 TFLs in 2023, so we’ve ahead of those numbers. Kinda infers that our defenders are getting into the backfield, just not dropping the QB. Hey, take what you can get?

  28. 813bucboi Says:

still early but the lack of edge pressure is concerning….

Yaya cant seem to finish….imo, he’s better as a rotational player…

dont want to hear the “gassed” excuse…reddick has been using that excuse for a few weeks now…

braswell may be better at MLB…similar to zach baun…DE/OLB is not clicking for him…

i’d try flipping yaya and reddick..see if yaya can win 1on1 vs a RT…or i’d start Nelly…always loved his motor and he always makes plays

    4-1!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!

  29. Josh Says:

I don’t care who gets it done or how it happens — but YaYa and Reddick aren’t getting it done so far. Right now, it’s the Baker and Egbuka show, and without them, this team **wouldn’t** have a single win.

Make the call today. Offer a 2nd-round pick for Hendrickson — no waiting, no games. Start with a 3rd. If they hesitate, bump it to a 2nd *only* if the deal gets done on that phone call. Make it clear: hang up the phone, and the offer drops back to a 3rd. Period.

If the Bucs want a Super Bowl, they need a guy who can win one-on-ones and, most importantly, make the tackle.

It’s worth a pick or two to get someone who’s proven he can rush the passer consistently. Or get Brian Burns — again, I don’t care who or what it takes. I just want **multiple** Bucs Super Bowl rings. Hate to admit it, but I want us to be so dominant people start hating Bucs fans — like they used to with the Patriots, and now with the Eagles and Chiefs.

    Come on — **BUCCANEERS DYNASTY!!**

LOL… a man can dream, right?

  30. PanhandleBuc Says:

This franchise STRUGGLES to draft pure pass rushers! Have nailed almost every other position.

    wrong again!!!!!

if that were true, yaya wouldve made that INT!!!!

stop blaming todd for everything….todd has put these players in position to win but they have to finish….yaya didnt finish on the sack above and he didnt finish catching the pass that was thrown right at him….

    FINISH!!!!

  34. 813bucboi Says:

i’d offer a 5th or 6th round pick to TENN for jeff simmons…

that’ll improve the interior pass rush which would help the edges without coughing up a high draft pick….

    we’re really missing CK94!!!

    4-1!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!

  35. Billy Bucco Says:

I’m not ready to give up on Diaby, especially considering the track record of so many late bloomers in the NFL.
I really don’t think it’s possible to miss on this many DE/OLBs in the draft.
Todd Bowles uses them a certain way and I don’t think they ever fully develop under his tutelage.
Of course JTS isn’t doing anything in Cleveland, but who knows why, maybe he is too thin.
If Licht is serious about this window, they need to pull a trade off like he did with JPP. Bowels aint coaching up this team this year, that’s for sure.

  36. Aqualung Says:

Don’t worry. With this “defense” edge rushers are DBs. It’s important to confuse your opponent, you see.

  37. Rod Munch Says:

Yaya didn’t whiff on the play, he’s coming from the edge with a guy right there on his side, that’s pretty much never going to be a sack. But Yaya did cause Bradford to step up into what should have been a sack by Reddick, who did whiff.

At the same time, the offensive players get paid as well, and Bradford just simply made a great play. It happens. Go listen to other teams podcasts, and every week they whine and complain about how their guys didn’t wrap up Baker and get their sacks. The offense players are allowed to make plays, and in fact the NFL has rigged the rules to make it a lot easier. QB’s know they’re not going to get their heads knocked off anymore, that it’s basically two hand touch for them, so they’re a lot more willing now to try to keep plays alive knowing they’re protected – whereas in the past, a QB would just go down knowing they could be decapitated at any time by someone hitting them from the backside.

  38. 813bucboi Says:

Bowels aint coaching up this team this year, that’s for sure.

    PLEASE EXPLAIN LOL…

so are we suppose to be 5-0 or 17-0 right now?

parrish and Vildor are supposed to be better CBs than the 2 starters that are injured and improve our defense?

we’re supposed to improve as a defensive unit while CK94 and d.walker are out for the season?

its 1 game and the defense cause 2(shouldve been 3) TURNOVERS!!!

darold was a top3 pick and won 14games last year!!!!…yall acting like josh freeman lit us up lol and we lost the game lol…

    4-1!!!

    4-1!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!

  40. Freddy PA Moxie Says:

I love Yaya the person. However, the word “close” is associated with his name WAY TOO OFTEN. If Yaya played horseshoes and hand grenades, he’d be the second coming of Dwight Freeney or Reggie White.

Turn the word “close” into “actual” and we don’t even need Reddick…Who is another disappointment on his own.

  41. ModHairKen Says:

Yaya can’t catch and can’t tackle.

    Other than that, he’s great.

  42. MikeBuc Says:

Yaya should have had him yes but we have all seen a QB step up enough to change the angle and make a rusher coming from around a linesman miss.

Number 5 however has no one going around. He can come in at an angle that a QB could never escape.

  43. drdneast Says:

I’m convinced Diaby thinks he’s playing horseshoes out there. Riddick is just done and Licht should have known. Just like when no one called about a trade for the No.1 pick to get Winston, two teams had already said goodbye to Riddick and no one else was trying to sign him. Figure it out Licht, when there is no interest, 31 other teams are trying to tell you something.

  44. Buc1987 Says:

    813bucboi…get after them!

    Go Bucs 4-1!!

  45. MikeBuc Says:

“Yaya didn’t whiff on the play, he’s coming from the edge with a guy right there on his side, that’s pretty much never going to be a sack. But Yaya did cause Bradford to step up into what should have been a sack by Reddick, who did whiff.”

Can’t believe it. Actually Agree with Munch for once

Which is another way of saying he’s FINALLY right about something related to football 🙂

  46. DS Says:

Might just be a rotational player no offense

  47. Nano107 Says:

MO KAMARA is in our practice squad
    Put him in play
Yaya is not a starter he’s terrible

  48. Esteban85 Says:

I thought we lost the game on this play, then I remembered we have Baker Mayfield and Tristian Wirfs

  49. Esteban85 Says:

I don’t know what we need from the edge but yaya has proven to be a poor finisher. Reddick is all over the field and not solely rushing the passer. He was back in coverage when we got the pick to win the game. I think that’s just Bowles’ defense. But we sure are missing Kancey

  50. FrontFour Says:

Watching Reddick he just looks undersized, YaYa – no idea. I thought we got physically beaten up vs. Seahawks. At all three level of the D. Braswell looks to be worse than JTS – he’s never around the ball, never makes plays – Hall’s helmet made more plays last week than him. People can yell scheme all you want, but I don’t see the talent on D. VV isn’t getting any younger. LVD – my favorite Buc, should have called it a career after the end of last season. Dennis is a legit 5th RD draft pick. AWJ is outplayed by Tykee Smith. And we just gave a monster contract to Zyon who has done nothing.

  51. OR Buc Says:

Yea, par for the course. He should’ve had the pick in the end zone too, which of course turned into a 1st down and the start of a 99 yard TD drive.

  52. Smarter than Joe Says:

Licht hit’s it out of the park drafting WR’s and OL, I just wish he could draft a Pass Rusher.

40 plus pass attempts and ZERO sacks, pathetic

  53. Kenton Smith Says:

Defense Rules. Our defense smartly allowed Nick Chubb to amble untouched to the end zone. 7 points. The lowly Jets blocked a simple short field goal attempt. 14 points (and 1110 bucks in my bank account. I’d never have forgiven them if we hadn’t won that game). Philly wakes us up slamming our pansy punt into our face and that makes 21 points. Divided by 5 =4.2 points per game that we know shouldn’t be charged to our defense. Losing 2 corners didn’t help. But we’re still flying around as you pointed out with our elite TFL numbers. I think the entire team is more focused on winning than anything else. Not a bad strategy.

  54. PSL Bob Says:

Munch. Which game were you watching? The one I saw had Darnold at QB. Is Bradford any good?

  55. SlyPirate Says:

OUT OF THE BOX THOUGHT …
On obvious passing downs, don’t play OLB. Play all DBs and ILB. They are GREAT at getting to the QB, top 6 in tackles, AND they can actually cover.

OLB: Yaya, Reddick, Braz, Nelson, Watts. Sacks: 2
    Trey Hendrickson. Sacks: 4

  56. gotbbucs Says:

Funny how so many people think Licht is great at drafting every position other than the players on defense that aren’t developing or producing.
Guys like Licht and his team know what talent looks like on both sides of the ball, not just offense. Bowles runs a piss poor scheme with his front 7 players when it comes to getting after the QB. I’ve said it many times before, he takes the great things that a player does and neuters it by forcing them into his scheme.
This team has admittedly had good pass rushers on the roster that Bowles will not put in the game because they might not be great against the run. He might say he cares about getting to the QB and forcing turnovers, but his calls on Sunday’s would speak otherwise.
Yaya Diaby was a highly athletic project coming out of college, but he needed to go to a team that was going to develop him. This is not that team for front 7 players. They all regress the longer they play for Bowles.

  57. Gipper Says:

Remember a lot of fake hype on Reddick as the answer over the winter. He is being paid $14Mill this season to be spectator. Not much different than last year when he pouted. Really a shame about Kancey who is a legit player. Not much on this defense is legit. Off season was the time to fix this mess. That didn’t happen. Offense will once again be fun while the defense will be offensive. No need to go down the list advising us how great these defenders are. Have heard it for years while Kirk Cousins and Sam Darnold prove otherwise.

  58. 813bucboi Says:

They all regress the longer they play for Bowles.
    *************************************************************

so, who left bowles and became a sack monster?…….lol…JTS?..LOL…

didnt shaq lead the league in sacks under bowles?

JPP was a sack monster in NY and continued to be a sack monster in Tampa while also adding INTs to his resume…under bowles

    yaya was a 3rd round pick for a reason…

    4-1!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!

  59. DH Buc Says:

Yaya is the best “almost” player I’ve seen in a long time. Almost gets a sack. Almost gets an interception. Almost gets a tackle for loss. Very frustrating to watch because he’s always right there but almost never completes the job.

  60. Joe in Michigan Says:

Rod Munch: Diaby most certainly whiffed, and Bradford’s been out of the league for several years now.

  61. 813bucboi Says:

    DH

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!….no lies detected…lol…

    4-1!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  62. BucsFanSince1996 Says:

While I’m concerned about the pass rush, or lack thereof, given that Kancey & Walker are done for the season, and there are so many other injuries on this team, I’m not going to complain about Bowles, given the team just beat Seattle and we’re 4-1. If we can beat Seattle, we should be able to compete with ANY team in the NFL. If we can get relatively healthy heading into the playoffs, no one we’ll want to play against the Bucs.

  63. buc4evr Says:

It wasn’t just that that YaYa and Reddick couldn’t get it done, it was the WR just standing there by the 5 yard line with no coverage. It wasn’t like the ball was thrown like a rocket, it had a pretty high arc and there should have been a CB or Safety defending it. Pretty pathetic defense all the way around. Bucs almost always give up huge 4th down plays. This defense is always one step away from total disaster. lol.

  64. Pelsbuc61 Says:

Yaya, Kancey and Braswell are certified busts! Trade ‘‘em for a loaf of bread.

  65. SlyPirate Says:

Yaya is a role player. Keep him until you can replace him. Same with Hall.
Agreed on CK and Braz. CK isn’t built for the NFL and Braz is a joke.

  66. Usfbucs Says:

per PFF Reddick is currently 17th in total pressures and Diaby is 21st so they aren’t the worst but they aren’t the best either. We need that player on the edge that other teams have to plan around. We thought we were getting that in Reddick but so far that hasn’t been the case.

  67. Usfbucs Says:

Idk if I would call Kancey a bust. It’s not like he planned on tearing his pec. Though I do wonder if moving him to the edge might yield some benefits.

  68. Tucker Says:

Yaya loves that bullrush a little to much

  69. Allen Lofton Says:

Football is not just a physical game, it’s a mental game which can impact your physical play.

Joe let the coaches know about this.

Munch. Which game were you watching? The one I saw had Darnold at QB. Is Bradford any good?

    ———-

Wow, what an idiot. I can’t believe I keep calling him Bradford. I guess there’s only one Sam allowed at QB, and Darnold is not anywhere near as good as Bradford.

Glad I don’t have to think about Darnold again until he chokes in the playoffs.

  72. stpetebucsfan Says:

The Seahawks were hot coming into the game on THEIR turf! Darnold has remained HOT since turning his career around last season with Minnesota.

IT WAS A GREAT GAME BY BOTH QB’S. Seattle’s D doesn’t suck nor does the Bucs.

IF…IF..a ticky tack 50-50 call on Zyon wasn’t called AW JR has a game changing INT!!! What happens in that game then?

Bottom line is that a LOT of guys paid very well, not just Baker and EE who obviously had career type games, but LVD’s play and AW Jr’s return to form this year.

The Bucs are set…IF they can get healthy or even remain healthy with their current squad.Imagine this team with Mauch and Goeddeke playing!!! No disrespect to their replacements who have done a great job considering what was expected of them at the start of the year.

  73. Defense Rules Says:

Kenton … ‘I think the entire team is more focused on winning than anything else. Not a bad strategy.’

I like that as a bottom line. Bucs’ offense has dragged at times, but our defense kinda held the line when they had to. Other times the Bucs’ defense has dragged, and our offense rose to the occasion. I think that 4-1 with the number of devastating injuries we’ve already suffered is fantastic. And especially since even in that 1 loss, we were in it as a TEAM right to the bitter end. Yes it’s taken FOUR 4th qtr comebacks to get our 4 victories, but I’ve come to believe THAT’S WHAT GOOD TEAMS DO. They fight to the bitter end, and oftentimes pull out a win.

Ranking #23 in Points Allowed admittedly concerns me because I feel we’ve been playing fairly good defense for the most part. But when I compare last season to this season, I can find some significant differences.

Last season for instance the Bucs allowed 12 TDs & 10 FGs for 114 points in our first 5 games. This season we’ve allowed 16 TDs & 7 FGs for 132 points in our first 5 games. So we’ve allowed 4 more TDs but 3 fewer FGs in the same number of games. That’s not typical Todd Bowles; his defenses have been very good at holding opponents to FGs much of the time. And yet … we’re 4-1 this season versus 3-2 last season after 5 games.

  74. Kayla Says:

May as well let Watts get in there for some 3rd down snaps and see what he can do. He’s active every week to play Special Teams, anyway…

  75. Rod Munch Says:

If you actually watch the play in motion, and not just stare at a screen shot, Yaya is coming from the edge and has the tackle on the side, as Darnold steps up, there’s very little chance anyone makes a play in that situation because of this thing called momentum, and if Yaya did have air brakes and could stop and turn on a dime, the tackle would have been there to deflect them. It’s a really really bad take to think Yaya whiffed on that play. But Yaya did make Darnold step up into the pocket where Reddick did have a clean play and should have got the sack. But, as stated above, the offensive players get paid too, and Darnold just made a really good play – it happens – and the reason it happens more for QBs than any other position is because the NFL has rigged the rules to make it that way.

Rod, I really liked Sam Bradford. Being an Okie and all. But there was another Sam who played football. Look up 1963 inaugural NFL Hall of Fame class. Sammy Baugh is credited with helping bring the pass game to the NFL. One year he led the NFL in PASSING, PUNTING, and INTERCEPTIONS!!

  77. Kenton Smith Says:

And I don’t mean passing interceptions!! He was a great defensive back!! And Punter!

Since miami season is gone how much is the cost of Bradley Chubb ?

  79. Rod Munch Says:

Kenton Smith – Yeah, I saw that in the other thread. Thank you for making me aware of him, that’s pretty cool – I had never heard of him somehow.

  80. Not Says:

I think YaYa will starve if you lock him up with the chicken. Maybe not, maybe we’ll open the door and find him choking the chicken !

  81. Tucker Says:

He will definitely try to bull rush that chicken

Was reading some on Chubb, and his salary for this year isn’t too bad – although not as good as it seems on the surface as there’s a bunch of incentives that would raise the price quite a bit, and it would be a one year rental. Reading more on his 4 sacks this season and they sound like they’re pretty fluky, but the Bucs would take fluky or not. It doesn’t sound like he’d cost much, one article I’m seeing makes it sound like he might be had a 7th rounder, which seems absurdly too cheap. He’d likely cost more like a 5th rounder, which would be a bit steep for a rental, but if they could get him for a 6th, I’d absolutely do that even if it’s only depth.

  83. Coburn Says:

As pissed off I was about not sacking him, I was just as pissed why the guy was wide open on the sideline (especially if we did only rush 4). Just because a guy is almost sacked doesn’t mean you stop covering. Who was supposed to be on him?

  84. Cybersecurity_intern Says:

Yeah Rod i was reading the same but he seems he can finish but doesnt pressure, we should have already a bunch of pass rushers that can pressure but cant sack, maybe is a good fit. Andif everything works out contracts can be redone.

  85. Noclu4u Says:

Lot of people saying Licht can’t draft a pass rusher He hasn’t picked higher than 13th in 5 years. It’s really rare to get a dominate pass rusher outside the top ten. He missed in Winston, Hargreaves and white. Shoyinka was 32nd and was at best a reach. I think he is going to have to combine some picks and move into the top 7-8 to find a pass rusher I would absolutely be calling Cincy about Hendrickson. Bengals may very well be motivated now that their season is down the tubes. A couple 1st rnd picks would go a long way to help Cincy fix that horrible O-line. From the looks of things the Bucs are very close and a pass rusher of his caliber could put them in the big game I do think he should try. We don’t know though that he hasn’t already inquired
    As always Go Bucs

  86. ‘74 Bucs Fan Says:

    I’m “shocked” at Braswell’s play. 😂

I’d rather have Yaya close on a lot of plays than a JTS or Braswell who aren’t near the play. But it’s not good enough – yet.
