I don’t get it. I mean it doesn’t make any sense. Why are people so scared to draft a QB? They use the excuse that its a “gamble”. I’m not sure if they’re aware of this but it’s a gamble when you draft any position, not just QB. If you don’t wanna draft a QB cause they might be a bust, then don’t draft any position. Such stupid logic. Draft until you get your guy, you get to try again every year.
Why stick with a guy thats been released by 3 other teams instead of using a draft pick? Even if the draft doesn’t work out, it costs less than vet QBs and you can try again using another pick.
Mentioning Baker and Lamar in the same sentence is laughable. Lamar threw 41 td, 4 ints and 4100 yds but Joe calls that overrated. The same Joe that sees Baker here next year. This is the mediocrity in talking about. Too many “fans” with low expectations wanting to play it safe because they’re scared of failing. When the Bucs won both chips they took big risks and swung for the fences.
Hopefully we’ll see that again someday soon.
