This week I went to little confidence because what I saw in the 4th quarter on defense. He went to the 2024 playbook and got scorched by a Jets team that will be in the very bottom of the league. He just seems to never learn how to put teams away.

I’m very confident in Bowles but not nearly as confident in the BUCS being able to go deep into the playoffs given the rate we are losing players.

Panic much? That game turned on a miracle play where a Jet ATHLETE somehow leapt over an OL cleanly, not only blocks the kick negating the game sealing FG but has it bounce right into the Jet defenders hands, waist high, on the run for the easy TD.
ONE play!!! Did the guys lose focus…of course but they too are human and did not imagine that the special teams would continue to CHOKE.
It hasn’t been the D or the O. Grizz had done an excellent job with a joke of an OL. SPECIAL TEAMS have detracted BIGLY from the Bucs success.
So when the injuries heal and ST gets their sh!t together the Bucs will be formidable.
BTW All the former NFL players and talking heads in the league have ENORMOUS respect for Todd.

NOW extremely confident in Grizzard and the offense bailing out the other side which is not a good solution long term!

I’ve come to the realization that those who do not like Bowles never will and will find any way to lay blame at his feet no matter what the team does. They will go out of their way to find something, even bring up the past. I’m sure he’s the cause of global warming as well. If the Bucs win the Super Bowl it will be in spite of him instead of because of him. His staff get’s more credit than he does SMH.

The only confidence i have is that Bowles will get the team to 9 wins, finish on top of the worst division in the league, get the 4th seed and be immediately bounced from the playoffs.
Another wasted year in the prime of Evans, Wirfs, Godwin, etc. Thats the legacy Bowles will leave in Tampa.

In reality the Bucs’ defense has only given up 20 pts to the Falcons, 19 pts to the Texans and 20 pts to the Jets (the blocked FG returned for a TD counts against the defense, but they weren’t even on the field). And oh ya, our defense also scored 7 pts via Jamel’s Pick-6.
I might be wrong, but that looks like a pretty consistent defense to me, and an improvement over 2024. Last season we gave up 385 pts … 22.6 PPG average. This season our defense has been charged with giving up 66 pts … 22.0 PPG … but if you disregard that 7 point S/Ts fiasco, it’s really only 19.7 PPG.
Yes it’s taken THREE 4th qtr comebacks for us to be 3-0 (which is awesome BTW), but given our OLine & WR injuries, I think we’ve done fantastic to hang in there like we have. Ironically our 2024 high-flying offense had only scored 64 pts through the first 3 games. This season our offense has scored 65 pts (plus the 7 pts from the Pick-6). And oh ya, last season we had 3 giveaways in the first 3 games; this season we have ZERO.
So no, we haven’t been ‘giving away points like Halloween candy’, but we do for sure have things to correct. For instance, Bucs’ defense has surrendered 6 TDs & 6 FGs thus far. Of those, 4 TDs & 1 FG have been given up in the 4th qtr. Tells me that we’ve probably gotten tired late in games (whodathunkit?) and our opponents have figured out how to take advantage.

Its amazing how many people blame Todd for breathing wrong in game but won’t blame players for mistakes as in dropped passes fumbles from qb blocked punt and field goal how is that Todd’s fault he can only put players in the game it’s up to players to make plays find who you should be mad at but it shouldn’t be the head coach it seems the only people that don’t like Todd is our own fans and maybe jets fans I’m confident in Todd he is a man that knows the game and is respected by people that are in the league why don’t you Walmart attendance and burger flippers that only watch for fantasy league go fly a kite in a rainstorm

This Pole IS NOT about the Team or It’s Performance, ESPECIALLY under Tough Circumstances. Overall team performance out of 10 I’m giving it an 8.5… (would have been higher… but special teams killed it)
Don’t Care who likes my point of view. I’ve played fair with giving Bowles the opportunity to change my mind and in Many ways He Has earned my respect and Indeed changed my mind in Most negative ways save One..
I Demanded a Far Better secondary showing AND WE GOT IT so far. BIG RESPECT THERE FOR TURNING IT AROUND. Excellent job by Bowles. In fact , the entire defense Has Improved…
Bowles third pick for the OC job Has Panned Out thus far “for the most part” and with consideration of the o line. (the running up the futility gut Was Not impressive however) So, Again. High Marks
My Issue with Bowles…. is FINALLY NOT about the lack of training. THAT has been my Biggest Gripe.. No, he looks to have finally done it. Trained, found good trainers, prayed A Lot, whatever he did it’s paying off. BUT, BUT, BUT…. if that’s All True (at least to me) then Why am I giving a little confidence vote?
Because it SURE SEEMS LIKE we have a Different Problem with him. Please ask yourself WHY? Why did Bowles give away the lead AGAIN???? He DID give away the Lead. We ALL KNOW THAT! I used to think it was Poor Decision Making but my opinion HAS CHANGED. There IS definitely room for poor decision making there but Something Else Stands Out. He Has NEVER HELD A DOMINANT LEAD MORE THAN “ONE TIME” THAT I CAN REMEMBER.
He’s either “Risk Seeking” (Which IS NOT GOOD) or He Has A Problem with “Self Deprivation” (WHICH MAYBE WORSE and I Believe IS the issue).
So… he either can’t stop gambling away our leads OR he has A Real Fear of Success..
This weird behavior has been displayed for All to see Over and Over again through 4years of him steering the ship.
He Powers Down and Cowers Down All the Time Especially When We Have a lead and I have Little Confidence in that behavior.
He puts guys at risk Because Of his “issues” for one. He’s KNOWS Mayfield ISN’T going to give up and puts Baker in UNNECESSARY DANGER, CONSTANTLY!
And NOW you Understand my issue with Bowles and having “little confidence” in the way he runs games. He SURE SEEMS LIKE a “Self Sabotager” or an Idiot. And I Don’t Think he’s mentally challenged, I think he has issues that don’t work well with WINNING GAMES… And of course he seems to have an issue with telling the truth as well..

LMAO Even when we agree we disagree. Todd did not turn the defensive secondary around. The INFUSION of new players and the return of the best safety in the NFL. I guess you could give Todd credit for moving Tykee to safety along with Winfield but I whined all last season that this D was NEVER going to be great until Winfield returned. I love LVD and he’s still solid but it’s AW Jr who stirs this drink. Let’s hope he stay healthy.
Oh and did we mention some new CB’s who are playing lights out. Parrish has been AWESOME! I’m a Todd supporter but I’ve been saying all along that a coach is pretty much as good as his players.
The D is better this year because there has been an infusion of new blood and the return of the most important player on the D…Todd is still steady Todd.
The players have changed…Todd not so much.

We had to come back from scoring one offensive touchdown which happened in the 2nd quarter.
We’re also in a 5 team tie for most punts per game through three games averaging 4.7 per which represents having punted 13 of 32 offensive possessions.
That’s 40% a little too close to being every other possession to talk as if our offense is shoulder the load for the whole team.
Our defense is ranked 2nd for least 3rd down conversions allowed through 3 games. We’re in a 5 way tie with 14 punts forced which is 3rd best in the NFL.
Something isn’t adding up
