Todd Bowles Answers “Best Story Of Training Camp” Question

August 29th, 2025

So Todd Bowles was asked to reveal his findings this week after weeks of 2025 training camp.

Appearing on WDAE radio, host Tom Krasniqi pressed the head coach to name his “best story of training camp.”

This was as tough question for Bowles. He mentioned rookies Emeka Egbuka and Jacob Parrish and cornerback Zyon McCollom. Then Bowles said the best player and most consistent performer was new punter Riley Dixon. (Man, Bowles loves his new punting toy, which is borderline scary).

Bowles also mentioned undrafted rookie running running back Josh Williams making the team, along with undrafted inside linebacker John Bullock. The head coach also noted Lavonte David and Mike Evans are marvels and Baker Mayfield’s great play has become taken for granted at One Buc Palace.

The Bowles threw Joe a curveball. Bowles put the honor of “most consistent” training camp performer on defensive lineman Logan Hall. And Bowles lauded right guard Cody Mauch for the “steadiest” camp. Bowles seems excited by Mauch’s improvement.

Lots of arrows pointing up at One Buc Palace.

The Bowles threw Joe a curveball.
    Lmfao.
    I’m easily amused. Lol

  2. geno711 Says:

That is great to hear on Logan Hall.

I think lots of guys have been putting him in the JTS category, but he is clearly something not as good as Calais Campbell but better than Will Gholston.

By the way, Campbell finally made the pro bowl after his 7th year and is still playing in the league.

  3. Couch Fan Says:

Riley Dixon 2025-2026 NFL MVP. Book it.

  4. Lt. Dan Says:

Really good to hear about Logan Hall. I feel like that’s a bonus. The other guys Bowles mentioned, we kind of take for granted, except for the rookies. Having Hall improve is like getting an extra draft pick, provided he shows up on game days.

  5. BucsFanSince1996 Says:

Logan Hall took a step forward last season. If he takes a another step forward this season, he may shock us (along with Braswell) 😉

  6. Jeffrey Becker Says:

what’s the over/under on fake punts. if i recall, he’s good at that too

  7. miken Says:

    Getting my #92 Jersey today!!!!

  8. Jeffrey Becker Says:

dixon bootlegs right as holder on kick play and hits ko kieft who powers through tackle to pylon

  9. Kenton Smith Says:

Doesn’t everyone just love to watch when a plan comes together? We’ve got a very good football team, alot better each year I’ve been watching. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if we start the season red hot. Very, Very Good Team we have this year. What really matters is how you finish but I’m not gonna worry about peaking too early this year. We are that good. Scary good actually and some of you trolling naysayers are about to be confronted with the brutal reality that you’re sucking at your job. Man this is gonna be a fun one to watch.

  10. orlbucfan Says:

High-fiving you, Coach, for getting a good punter. We needed one badly. Hope he doesn’t get ‘saved’ like Camara. LOL.

  11. firethecannons Says:

Logan Hall–haven’t heard that name in a while, well good, we need good play out of everyone to win in this league

  12. Lou. Says:

I thought I saw and heard of March pushed backwards. Had expected him to be a rising star. Wonder if the Joes caught sight of this development in their watching at camp.

Good to hear my eyes are deceiving me. Then again, I toot I taw a puddy tat.

  13. Baking with Grizz Says:

Gunner must improve his timing with the punter.
Special teams will be special this year.
    LFG!!!

  14. LakelandBuc Says:

Logan Hall has always been a solid DE
But this fanbase use to complain about his sacks
His primary role was to play the run
That’s why he only gets around 500 snaps a year
He gets sacks, but he don’t play on 3rd down

  15. TBBucFan Says:

Dixon punts from the Bucs 45 and pins the Falcons back at the 5 yard line. On 2nd and 3, Hall sacks Penix for a loss. 3rd and long, McCollom gets an interception. Then Todd looks over at Grizzard and calmly says, “get us a touchdown, Grizz.” That’s a defensive head coaches dream. You can substitute on OLB for Hall if you want to Joe. Makes everyone happy.

  16. First Last Says:

Todd Bowles is hard to read. Sometimes it sounds like he is irritated when y’all are asking him questions. He never shows any expression, but players like Baker Mayfield love him. It is just so strange.

  17. infomeplease Says:

A lot of good things happening will off set all the bad! LFG!!

  18. MadMax Says:

Geeze, walter football’s 2026 mock draft (put out today) has us picking 10th. No way!

  19. heyjude Says:

Glad to hear Coach Bowles so happy and optimistic!

  20. Esteban85 Says:

This season will be the year we look at and say we either overcame all odds in triumph or we fell off the map of relevance and failed in multiple ways. We are a resilient team and September 7th will be a window into how tough and resilient this team really is.

  21. Aqualung Says:

    Fail Todd

  22. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

Wouldn’t mind holding onto Logan, and keeping him in rotation with Elijah Roberts after this season. Most don’t go out of their way to watch interior DLmen, but both of these guys were pushing interior OLmen around when they got their reps this preseason.

Hall can still work on getting his pad level a big lower but he looked more handsy than he did since getting drafted. Roberts was bullying people all game against the Bills. Made a splash with the sack, but again that’s all most fans really care about. There’s value in clogging rushing lanes, shooting gaps, and pushing the pocket w/on it having a tally on the box sheet, but that’s not sexy to most fans
