Bucs Will Go 100 Percent Silent Count In Seattle

Communication will be an extra big issue Sunday — seven days after the Bucs had major communication gaffes on offense.
Seattle is a raucous cauldron to play in. Bruce Arians called it a soccer-type crowd because of its relentless noise and energy. Their famous 12th man is alive and well.
Joe is not too concerned with Jameis Winston and noisy stadiums. America’s Quarterback played one of the very best games of his career at Arrowhead Stadium three years ago against an excellent Chiefs team, and he’s won in New Orleans. Those two road venues rival Seattle; some might argue they are louder.
Still, crazy road environments lead to pre-snap penalties and other communications challenges on offense. The Arians-Leftwich offense remains relatively new to the Bucs, so Joe is leery of what might happen Sunday from a Tampa Bay team that Joe expects to be pressing and on edge, especially the QB.
There are various ways to handle crowd noise, but Arians keeps it simple, he told SiriusXM NFL Radio. “Everything is on silent count, under center, out shotgun, everything,” he said.
Arians added that playing in Seattle all those years with the Cardinals is of great benefit to his assistant coaches and their understanding of how to prepare players and themselves.
A cool tidbit about crowd noise. Yesterday Joe rolled up to One Buc Palace. It was a nice warm, sunny day but the Bucs were practicing inside the Glazer Shed. And the Bucs had fake crowd noise being pumped in loud! Joe could hear the racket all the way from Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
It was almost too loud for the parking lot and that was two football fields away. Joe isn’t sure an AC/DC concert would have been louder.

the bucs will come out of this weekend 2-6, still adamant to start ‘Turnover’ and as they finally play at RJ, it won’t be worth investing the time or money to attend.. A change at qb would at the least spark hope..

Joe, today I fly out to Seattle from my tropical crib in Western Montana to attend the Bucs game this Sunday. My stepdaughter (single, rich, beautiful, just slightly on the stout side looking for a man who’s good looking, athletic, self sufficient, fawning and submissive) snagged lower level tickets from a season ticket holder who wasn’t interested in attending the Bucs game. Imagine that. In the midst of the Seahawks’ legendary “12th man,” I will be the Bucs’ lonely 11.00001 man, mouthing a single “yea” if the Bucs score. Like Captain Ramius in Red October (“give me a ping Vasili – one ping only”), more than that would invite a barrage of torpedoes.
Inexplicably, I remain a Bucs fan from the halcyon days when I was a season ticket holder during the Super Bowl era, still proudly displaying my framed, Alstott-autographed tickets from the inaugural game at Ray-Jay. Ah yes, those were the days…

Arians has the best record for wins in Seattle, of any current coach. IMHO, for us to win requires that we get off to a fast start, with a big lead.
Pete Carroll is well aware of what we did to the Rams, and so are the fans out there.

If they played music at practice we could be prepared for it! jk. Basically they wait until set, Marpet looks back at Winston for the signal, slaps Jensen in the leg and the ball is snapped. Joe is right, if we handled the KC crown I don’t foresee a problem.

I was stationed up in Washington and I got to go to a few games at CenturyLink. Nothing can prepare you for the noise. The architecture of the stadium is mathematically designed to amplify the noise. It vibrates your bones it’s so loud.

Over the past season and a half with the Pats, he had 60 receptions (104 targets from Mr. Brady) for 1,007 yards and 4 TDs. He’s got the speed and size Arians salivates over, and the Patriots waived him like they did for fear of him signing with a division rival. Guy has plenty of gas left in the tank, represents a low-risk high-reward bet, and you can’t tell me he’s a worse option than Scotty Miller or Breshad Perriman.

Best post ever! I was smart enough to cancel my London trip after the Giants debacle, but since I already purchased the plane tickets, I too am here in Seattle for the game. Dreading just how bad we will be humiliated and will I make it out of the stadium alive. I am also afraid to cheer for any good plays because even if we are up by 25 in the fourth quarter I’m sure we’ll find a way to lose. Upside: the weather here is phenomenal
