Raheem Was Miffed At Sabby’s Blunder

December 29th, 2009
Hi, I play strong safety for the Bucs. Maybe Id be better at linebacker.

"Hi, I play strong safety for the Bucs. Maybe I'd be better at linebacker?"

As the Saints lined up for the game-winning field goal attempt at the end of regulation, Raheem The Dream wasn’t thinking about the kick.

Speaking Monday evening on Total Access, on 620 WDAE-AM, the head coach was asked by host TJ Rives what was going through his mind just before the kick while TV cameras showed him pensive and biting a finger.

“I was a little upset with missing the tackle right there,” Raheem The Dream responded.

The head coach was referring to the Sabby Piscitelli blown tackle seconds earlier that set up the 37-yard attempt that was ultimately missed. If Piscitelli had made the easy wrap-up on Robert Meacham, the Saints would have been attempting a 52-yarder instead.

“We had an all-out blitz on. We were going after [Drew Brees]. We were telling people to make him throw the ball quickly, which he did,” Raheem The Dream said. “And he threw the ball quickly to his man [Robert Meacham] over the ball. Sabby Piscitelli broke up on him and tried to make a play on the football and was not able to make a play on the football. But in that situation you absolutely have to get him on the ground.”

Raheem The Dream put a lot of emphasis on the word “absolutely.”

Joe was thinking the same thing on Sunday. Piscitelli was nearly the goat of the game.

im so sick of watching him, just about everytime something goes wrong there he is looking like a fool, i think i would like to see berry and t-jax back there

  2. Jackson Says:

Talk about a herd mentallity. He missed on one play yesterday, while T-Jax, Talib, and MANY others had multiple missed tackles, blown coverages. No one says a word when T-Jax lets a WR waltz into the EZ, but God forbid Piscatelli misses a tackle, BTW, he also saved a TD with a tackle. He made a play for the ball and missed, don’t understand the hatred for this guy.

  3. Jackson Says:

And one more thing, it won’t matter who’s playing Safety next season if we can’t get some players that can rush the passer. This secondary has played outstanding, considering the pass rush this team generates, which is VERY little.

Joe, I LOVE the goat! I laughed out loud when you post it Sunday and now again. This should be the “official” picture you use from now on when posting an article on Sabby.

All athlete, no instincts. Just saw an article on not being surprised if the Chiefs select Berry in the 3 spot. Ok with me, I’d rather have McCoy at this point anyway.

Sabby is an absolute joke…..the only thing the guy does well is making sure his sweatbands are perfectly symmetrical

I don’t even want him here as a backup and to be honest it’s absolutely shocking that Rah Rah hasn’t benched him yet. I understand we have zero depth but how many times can you watch a guy screw up before you say enough is enough?

LMFAO!!!!best picture ever!! so fuc*ing funny that goat!!!! i wanna more sabby articles if this goat appear on that!!!

  8. chesen Says:

I second the consistent use of the goat.

Jackson, the difference is T-Jax and Talib have proven themselves legit starters in the NFL. Sabby is a just a farm animal.

  9. Jdub Says:

Kam Chancellor in the 3rd round

    Nuff said. Good Bye Sabby

  10. BigMacAttack Says:

I agree with Raheem and Joe. This is why Sabby gets the boot and Eric Berry is in a Bucs uniform next season. Good Call.
