Purvis Finally Gets The Call

December 29th, 2009

Joe’s not one to write about every minor happening at the bottom of the Bucs’ roster, but this one made the cut.

Undrafted tight end Ryan Purvis, the only Buccaneer who spent the first 15 games on the practice squad, was promoted to the roster today to replace injured Jimmy Wilkerson. Good job, son.

A Jagodzinski referral, and a rookie out of Boston College, Purvis chatted with Joe just after making the team in September. It seems to be the only interview he’s done in a Bucs uniform.
