    Sage, you guys forgot some of what Chris Boniol said in his presser. Here is what I thought I heard.

    He is not here to teach his guy(s) how to kick as such. He has other roles to play. One big one is to be a mentor and “psychological” support. Another is just to help manage his practices and have him fresh at game time.

    P.S. It my contention that Koetter and crew failed with Aguayo because he was brought in without making him compete for the job. (Yeah, I realize we can really never know sure.) And of course there was no “coach” in place for him either.

    Senile,

    If Aguayo failed because He didn’t have to compete for the job that on the GM.

    First, you cannot draft a kicker in the 2nd round and have him compete against a guy signed off the street. There’s competition, but in name only. Besides, He’s had to compete for a job as I don’t know exactly but I think 3 teams gave him a shot after the bucs. He didn’t suceed In an open competition. If you throw out he lost his confidence because of the bucs and DK, we’ll that’s a question about his mental toughness, can he bounce back…the answer was no.

    Second, ask CobraBoy and stanglassman for their opinion. They were kickers and no one here has a better insight than those 2.

    They have to them the browns and another team because they started a week early

  4. D1 Says:

    @Joe,

    Murray never played for Kingsbury at Tech. Don’t know how much that factors into your opinion but if does then you have to remove it because it’s not true.

    Additionally, you watched Murray and came to the conclusion He’s a drop back passer not a running QB. That’s unbelievable. …. .seriously jaw dropping and head slapping…

    You believe Murray is a running qb first then watch what a minute of highlights and then say everyone is wrong he is drop back qb like Rosen, so Murray isn’t a better fit because they’re both drop back guys thus the issue is with rosen. What is the issue you don’t know. But you conclude that this unknown condition also has infected Leftwich. Am I missing something or is that an accurate summation of your argument?

    If that’s the basic framework for your reasoning, I’ll have to stop it there…wow!

    I’ll leave you with a question, is there anything you see in Murrays game that is different from rosen? Next, How could it translate into kingsbury system …..
